  1. Searched for this and didn't quite see it. After trying to go to the third page of the results, it changed it's mind about them existing, so might have missed something. Why not create equipable animation changes? I imagine this wouldn't work in a pvp-like environment, though, so I guess it'd have to be disabled in pvp and wvw, unfortunately. Alternatively, you could include an option in the menu to not see animation changes on your end. Maybe you could attach them to certain skins you could sell. "If you buy this exclusive staff for x class, you'll instead have spear animations." Maybe a pipe dream, but it could be neat.
  2. I'd really like to see polearms, spears, and chakrams. I'd probably put scythes and great axes into the polearm category as both are bladed and could use similar animations. These weapons would focus on attacking a mob of enemies surrounding the player with a single-target defense-breaking attack on a long cooldown(to include the flavor of a great axe). Spears are more for stabbing/throwing, so would need to be separate from the other polearms. I think these weapons could play to the flavor of a legionnaire by increasing in effectiveness when in formations(or something like that). Let them generate buffs when near allies or something. Chakrams could serve as the light armor counterbalance. Chakrams are interesting as they can be an AoE, ranged weapon.
  3. My mace-wielding, revenant chef needs a cooking pan to bash people with.
  4. Eh, shouldn't this be in the pinned suggestion topic? People post want they want to return there daily. To stay on topic, I want the magitech, phalanx, and viper armor sets to return. I would also like to see the dragon kama, elegant fan, storm bow, and menzie's agony skins. If they put up the black wing set or a permanent pass, I'd likely pick it up also.
  5. In March of 2016, there was a sale on season 2. For March 2018, I'd like a sale on season 3 or, perhaps, a bundle of season 2/3. Both are just a small bit more than I'm willing/able to pay for them.
  6. I wasn't active during lw1, but I remember keeping an eye on the story as I was hearing a lot of complaining about it in other mmos. Most of it revolved around Scarlet, but I just didn't find Scarlet compelling...at all. I am much more interested in the elder dragons. Given that resources put into reimplementing lw1 would likely come out of future lw or expansions, I am very much opposed to ever visiting lw1. Let Scarlet stay dead.
  7. What about an item that converts junk items to 1/3 the sell price? It'd still be better to sell to a vendor if you can, but it would allow you to have less down time.
  8. I think the concept art on the wiki would look pretty cool as regalia. Also, the more Jormag-related skins, the better. Thanks for bringing back the Belinda greatsword. As you are bringing back a number of weapon skins over the next few days, I'd like to see this trend continue with the following items returning at some point: caithe's bloom dagger, dragon kama skin, elegant fan skin, storm bow.
  9. If they can do underwater gameplay like Donkey Kong Country, I'm in. I'm not completely opposed to underwater content, but I can't imagine how they'd make underwater combat actually work. I don't mind underwater movement as much as movement while in combat. Maybe "transformation" masteries, but then it's just too detached from the normal game that it feels pointless. Fighting on warships sounds cool, but then you fall in water and remember why this was a bad idea.
  10. I'd personally like some shades between the hair colors "flame", "red", and the darker red(don't remember the name). I have one character that I want to have hair slightly lighter than "red" and another where a color slightly darker than "red" would fit better. Also, would it be possible to move eye color to the hair kit. Ears/horns already are for some races so it wouldn't be completely outside the current scope of the object. When you change hair color, you really need to change eye color too. I wish I realized this sooner. x.x If that's no good, maybe sell color contacts and store them in the wardrobe or something. I would totally buy a couple of those if the price is right. Even a 100 gem eye color only change would be semi-ok.I'd also like to see Belinda's greatsword and the ancestral outfit return.Edit: Also a "snapshot" feature. Let us take a snapshot of our current armor and store it as an outfit.
  11. Seeing as the suggestions for a permanent total makeover kit have been passed over, I thought of a potential twist. What about a permanent makeover kit that works similarly to the Silver/Copper Salvage-O-Matic? Not sure what would make a good price point, though.
  12. I have positive memories of the Jade Sea, but I remember hating Kaineng City for some reason. :/
  13. I removed the @ because I want to provide my criticism without shooting the messenger. If "Just a flesh wound.3589" does read this, thank you for posting this info.I can't speak for everyone, but even an error-prone solution would satisfy me. Quarantine this feature behind an option that indicates it is temperamental. Users can keep a list of instances where it doesn't work well on the wiki. This would be an acceptable compromise, I think. Also, I'm not sure I agree about how satisfying the in-game scenes are. I actually preferred the old method of presentation. It was highly stylized and I appreciated it. I can't imagine this decision being reversed, though, so the point is moot.
  14. Chain whips? Kusarigama? Yes, please! Why no to Spider Mounts? if its a phobia thing, then you should be already agaisnt all those spiders in the game that you can kill as enemies. Do they scare you as well? I guess not..but a spider like mount, it doesnt even have to look really like a spider..call them crawlers with a different look would do the job as well. Just want a mont with the ability to run on walls, because that would be a nice unique ability to play around with in regard of world design.Whenever I fight spiders, I take my glasses off! I'd love a spiders to bears mod. :p If they are almost spiders, I can probably deal with it better. My main issue is the mouth area followed by the twitchy legs. I can't look at that. x.x I'd be in favor of a pseudo-spider mount. Running on walls sounds like fun!
  15. As for my vote, I was torn between new professions and terrestrial weapons. I ended up going with terrestrial weapons as they would not require me to buy more character slots, but, ideally, the two would come together. The new professions I want would probably lend themselves best to new weapons anyway(eg. dervish, paragon, etc). I don't really understand the interest in housing. I've played games with it before and it just feels like a bunch of nothing. I think I remember Rift and SWtOR both implementing it. I'm probably forgetting others. Also, wasn't this supposed to be satisfied by the Home instance? What am I missing?
  16. I'm not sure many feel this way, but I'm kind of shy about my purchases in online games. I'm thinking about getting a certain outfit as I really like cold/ice thematically, but I don't really want others to see it. I guess I feel guilty about buying something like that when I know I could put it towards other things. Probably just me, though. :#
  17. My personal preference is to have bosses with lower amounts of health, but with harder mechanics and quick retries. I like battles that are difficult until you master them and then they become trivial. I understand that this probably isn't the majority, though.
  18. My favorite dragon, so far, is Jormag, but I don't want him dead. I find primordius kind of uninteresting. This leaves the DSD as my answer.I don't actually want to kill the elder dragons, though. Since we have already killed two, however, I kind of want their powers/realms to be passed on to another vessel. So we kill Kralk and Aurene eats the power and becomes a new elder dragon. This way we can solve the issues of the dragons destroying things without losing the elder dragons permanently. However, we'd need another dragon for Jormag, DSD, and Primordius. Also we'd have to somehow retroactively have them for Mordremoth and Zhaitan.
  19. Over the years of playing/watching different games, I've come to believe that true balance is change. Change keeps things fresh and players on their toes.
  20. I like warhorn the least thematically, so I expect it to be the next weapon. As a result, I've given more thought to how it could be made interesting.I think the use of a warhorn should tie into virtues more heavily than the past two specializations. I've thought of two contrasting routes to go with this, The Fanatic and The Monk. I think mixing parts of them might actually work better, but this is what I'm leaning towards as of posting. The Fanatic:This specialization would remove the ability to use active virtues and instead see a boon to their passives(which would ideally stack well with the virtues tree). I think the concept could be bolstered by using Physical skills(currently available to only the warrior and the thief). These could be flavored as grabs/punches/throws. I think both weapon skills of the warhorn would be CC focused for this theme. The Monk:This specialization would see the virtues have drastically lower cooldowns with much weaker passives. I think glyphs play well with the the role that monks occupied in the original Guild Wars. Additionally, glyphs could have added affects depending on if certain virtues are on cooldown. This would incentivize clean management of virtues and glyphs. However, I'm not sure this really fills any roles that other builds don't already fill. Maybe have the weapon skills add mobility? I dunno.Mechanically, I prefer the monk, but the idea of a guardian fanatic sounds really interesting thematically and ties back into one of the armor choices from character creation.
  21. I'm a return player and I've been back for a little over a month. The Black Lion Trading Company offers many things that I can see myself investing in. I am something of a nomad when it comes to MMOs and I make occasional purchases. As such, I feel like I have a strong grasp on the value of typical cash shop items in MMOs. The first thing that hit me about the Trading Company's stock after returning was that the prices were shockingly high. There are likely reasons for this that aren't purely money-grubbing(I hope), but it raises the expectations of quality and fairness from the Black Lion Trading Company. I play Maplestory from time to time. Maplestory is infamous for its exploitation of RNG to drain its players of their money. The game is a bundle of fun, but their business model just feels skeevy. They compensate for this by keeping the prices low(for most things) and regularly distributing items from the cash shop during events. If you wait long enough, you can probably get more than what you need without spending a dime.Based on what I've said so far, the cash shops of Maplestory and Guild Wars 2 are reversed, but consider that the Black Lion Trading Company has contained RNG chests since the beginning, if I remember correctly. This too has been hand-waved away with the promise of quality, but many will find it grating as, despite legal definitions, it is perceived by many players as gambling and, ultimately, unfair.Based on this knowledge, we can infer that the Black Lion Trading Company and its patrons have had two unspoken contracts of sorts: Price for Quality and RNG for Quality. This balance held steady because the two rarely overlapped(or so I am led to believe by the posts of others and my memories). When both of these contracts are needed for a single purchase, however, tensions become strained. With the random mount skins, many players seem to feel that they are paying a heavy premium for a chance at an item that appears to be lacking in the quality they have come to expect. This perceived breach of etiquette is what I believe is the core behind the outrage over the mount adoption system. Including an expensive(2000 gems) mount skin only serves to fan the flames.Hopefully, I was clear without stepping on any toes. I'm finding Guild Wars 2 to be fun and I'd hate to antagonize powerful people.
  22. I like the idea of a parrying dagger. The specialization could be about granting toughness and/or swiftness to self/allies and inflicting vulnerability simultaneously. The spec could also provide benefits to the already existing off-hand shield. Though if polearms are on the table, then that would be my pick.
