  1. Of course it's not.One is something that you can use accountwide on all your characters and can customize the colors in your own preference, let alone future skins. And it adds extra mobility to your movement. The other is... well just a shiny which you can keep only on one character and it looks the same on you as it does on everyone else. If anything Skyscale >>> Aurora functionality wise and 250 of each currency is a reasonable request if you compare it with Aurora
  2. And we don't need yet another topic about SkyScale timegating.
  3. If the next expansion is water-based why not think outside underwater field as well? Add naval mechanics, upgrade-able boats, ships with masteries in naval proficiency. Different attack types and cosmetics. If we move more in-land then how about an additional mastery tree for spells and magic buffs? Could be based on crypt/tomb exploration, complicated jumping puzzles and mini-dungeons with accumulative point system and skill tree, like in many non-mmorpgs.Only one branch can be active at the same time, switching branches costs some local currency which prevents from being too OP in quick succession.Size transformation - go very small and enter secret caves and alcoves.Elemental tuning - traverse fire/lava, water barriers or icy areas without dying to these elements.Weapon imbuing - apply additional damage type to your attacks - light, dark, lightning etc giving you an edge against certain types of enemies.Mount synergy - increase the speed and damage done by your mounts. etc It has to be big and novel idea to revitalize the game without overlapping previous features nor breaking old content.
  4. I think this is very similar situation to the dungeon LFG problem. You join LFG in dungeons and then get kicked out because you didn't meet expectations? Well then create your own group 'all welcome' style and you will gather a group and with more or less struggle you will clear the dungeon.Raids is the same case but with amplified mechanics -you have enrage timers, hard hitting bosses, no rezzing or revive orbs. Way less room for error.Raid LFG in most cases expects experience, because if an experience-lacking person joins then the chances of failure increase. And these groups do not want to waste their time. And yes they can be quite toxic even to experienced raiders.Create your own LFG for a raid, make it 'first timers welcome' tag and your squad will fill up fast. Then you will see how much you will struggle as a group. People will do low dps, downed people wont get rezzed and mechanics will be skipped. People will start leaving because of the failures. Then you will realize that the bar for skills and coordination is the highest here. @Balsa.3951 Elitism is when you do kill boss successfully but get flamed for lower dps than they expect or if the condition/boon duration was slightly lower than normal and you get bashed as a bad support. Or if you get kicked out from squad if you can't replace your runes/sigils to a their preferred type. These nitpicked reasons despite clear success is the elitism. The rest is just people expecting experienced and capable teammates to enjoy the content. When I wanted to get in the raids I started with Crossroads Inn guild from tier 0, sometimes not being invited to squads (because rng) and waiting for weeks to be invited, then on lucky weeks spending 3 hours at one boss with no kills, learning mechanics and improving with every failure. Raid training groups have lots of people signing up for official and unofficial trainings, eager to learn the endgame content and get better at it. Don't expect that just because you clear T4 fractals you are immediately fit for raiding, you need to be on a certain level to start this content.
  5. That makes a lot of sense, I was hoping support scourge would become a thing... but stick to the meta I guess Unfortunately I don't see it happening. Despite the MightyTeapot showing how scourge barrier can carry pugs in raids, it simply is not looked at seriously in real-life pugs. That being said, sometimes I play my barrier scourge in my guild raiding (and raid training) and it is very fun and useful class. If you get serious in raiding and end up doing it it (semi-)static group, give another shot at scourge barrier, Im sure you will have great time with it :)Good luck
  6. A bit of a side note regarding Barrier Scourge. It is a great class for static raid runs, because you know your fellow teammates and they know they can rely on your barrier and condi cleanse. However you will have hard time getting with it in any other group.I am raid training with Crossroads Inn group and they dont allow scourge healers simply because they allow negating (thus learning) mechanics, which beats the purpose of training. And pugs tend to stick with druids because of the spirits and extra buffs even if druid healing is far from highest in the healer category.
  7. What others above said ^. Plus I dont see how Istan GH got a nerf? If anything its almost a buff, since theres 4-6 champs spawning every 25% of Amala, making it ~24 champs per fight. I havent gotten that many champs before Anet patched GH. For me its a buff.
  8. Two days ago, four of us sat down in one room to play and decided to do t3 daily fractals. my friends were mesmer (fractal level 100), elementalist (100), guardian (53) and me - power daredevil (25, full ascended berserker and meta build). I wanted to see how much harder is t3 with respect to t2 so we went for t3. We get the 5th player - another thief. During the snowblind last boss I got downed twice (thieves are squishy and it was my first time on this level). So there comes the LFG thief with his message to us : " can we kick out the thief" (me), "because he is not doing his rotations and doesn't have proper build?". Just like that the fun is going down, because why enjoy the game when you should just blindly mash predefined rotations and pretend you are having fun. We kicked him out and another guardian appeared and we successfully did snowblind and all the other 4 fractals (incl nightmare) without any wipe.Experiences like this makes me just sad panda. Whatever happened to "lets just have fun" LFG? This smell's like raid LFG attitude leaking into fractals and its absolutely not inviting new players. I wonder how do new chronomancers get "welcomed" when they try to learn their build for fractals or raids?
