  4. Further update, I also experience crashes when I try to do "Outreach" and talk to the fisher to get to Aurene's Cave. Once the loading screen finishes, I instantly crash with the same information:
  5. Same issue here, having this on an AMD Radeon 7900XTX for the record. Keeps happening, another player in game also whisped to me about the issue. This hard locks progression in the expansion. I don't use ArcDPS, so this is certainly not causing it. The error that - for the record - keeps popping up (sent to ArenaNet, only top for reference for other players):
  6. I also noticed a huge performance increase in Amynatas with the previous patch. HUGE difference.
  7. If we compare the period that IBS was out with how long SotO was out, we would have a single map and 1 strike mission at this point.SotO hasn't been out for a month yet. You are comparing something that was rolled out over a period of a year and a half with something that has just been out for a month. I hope you get how ridiculous that makes your point here. Also, the SotO maps do use quite a lot of unique assets... I get why people are coming up with "asset reuse", but in reality... other games have a lot more asset re-use and it is still resulting a quite unique (but still similar feeling, which is good) style. Also, the amount of story content released with SotO blows the enterity of IBS out of the water. It's not even close. And don't get me started in terms of rewards...
  8. Exaggeration is a gift 😅. Spend a few hours doing rifts and you'll have more than enough of the items you need. The Skyscale is a legendary mount for something, you need to work for it. But even with moderate playing, you should be able to get the Skyscale in a few weeks. The Skyscale is a reward for playing after all.
  9. Changes to WvW is underway and it's probably been since the release of Heart of Thorns that so much development has been going on with WvW. It's taking a long time, agreed, but they're working on Alliances, we know that a rewards overhaul is coming and they're trying to fix long-standing bugs. A new weapon set, exclusive for WvW, has also been teased a while ago. So while it might seem that it got quite less attention (which is absolutely true), things are moving and should be coming in the near future. That being said, PoF and HoT have been combined as a package deal and in fact, the way to look at it is when you buy Path of Fire, you'll get Heart of Thorns for free. So there is only the option to buy them both, but in fact you are just buying Path of Fire. If you'd just want Path of Fire, without Heart of Thorns, you'd still pay 30 for it.

I'm honestly surprised by how much communication and follow up there has been the last few days - I agree that the patch wasn't where it needed to be and it didn't hit the mark, but this truly shows how serious Grouch/ArenaNet are and the speed in which things are being decided and communicated is just amazing. I never thought I would see such a degree of communication from ArenaNet, especially not with the speed with which it came, so this is a really nice surprise. Thanks for taking this so serious, for taking the right steps and keeping us in the loop. I truly feel that with Grouch we've got the right person on the right place. So, this is just a post to say thanks for how you are handling things, I think you've proven a lot of things to a lot of players. Thanks, Grouch!
  11. Good news, with the new patch, this should be solved!
  12. I got it done as well, I just ran GW2 in the morning and jumped on my skyskale while waiting (together with others) for it to pop up. It popped up within 20 minutes, completed it without an issue. This event could be improved by either having a timer on it that is displayed/having it respawn much quicker and ofcourse resolving the stalling-bug. Anyhows, to not be too negative: try to camp it, if it bugs, use the LFG for another map and wait until it spawns. Don't hang around in the area, because once the boss spawns he goes down in a minute - stay at the tower.
  13. I have just been waiting for 1h30 minutes only to get the event not to start - the bloodstone aura does pop up, but nothing happens, no enemies spawn, nothing at all. Map IP: 3.120.142.137. This just ruins all the fun of getting to replay the older content - please check if events are actually completable or check if there are bugreports on the wiki before adding the achievement to the list. This just isn't fun, floating above that tower with a skyskale for hours without any result coming out from it. What options are there, do it right after reset?
  14. As someone who is an operations engineer at a big webhost, I can feel the pain. I not only understand it, but feel it - I've been there, when databases go out of sync and the effort it can take to fix it. And how obscure the reason can be... often, just where you won't ever look for it. Amazing job, very fun to read (I've shared it with my entire team), keep it up! Absolutely loving the communication! 😄
