1st part: actually on pve not pvp i don't know what FGJ is 2nd part: So does that mean i gotta invest into sustain traits to be able to do that and not go full glass warr?

Question do you guys go with 3 utilities to get 25 might and fury selfishly? I noticed while exploring you got 2 or 3 utilities with 15 seconds to get might with that you can ez get 25 might+fury. Is that the meta? GS related question: Does GS feel kinda clunky? where is the invuln so you can tank stuff? at times i'm getting downed when i got full stamina before i can use the limit break(i'm calling it limit break because adrenaline makes me think of limit break from FF7)

Yeah scepter/Focus cata i heard it was op so we nt condi. I had one person who said to me its well rounded from the forum and told me i'm slow and i should go with condi cata. I dueled a untamed and got wrekd 100% and i was told by someone in private message while this was happening that Condi scepter cata was weak. I tried weaver but couldn't get enough burst on condi unlessi tried a bad build.

There was a guy yesterday who sent me a pm said don't play condi cata its nerfed not good go play weaver instead in SPVP.

I feel the pain i was doing fractals died so much today o n weaver OOF man repeated deaths. I hate being in melee range so long on weaver, and some mobs have giant ae dmg.

So all specs are fine for starting? So should i go rifle then as warr? i remember on beta was doing quite a bit of dmg on rifle or perhaps hammer?

Whats the best elite to start with if? what line is power? what is condi and whats support? Whats the best power weapon to start with pre elite?

So after years of doing pvp i've noticed yes some stuff has gotten faster spamming of CC nonstop in order to paralyze then nuke enemies down and it requires quickly being able to amount of stab or resilience to counter spamming of ridiculous CC its true, but what i learned is that isn't the oldest one, the oldes is that its harder to truly git gud unless you get someone private message and duel vs good players because it can be hard to find out whats wrong with your rotation, which could easily lead to misinformation due to people spouting x is op y is weak. Metabattle is nice because it has builds+ also people but in game the lack of tutorial makes it harder to learn. i'm struggling to get used to rotation of catalyst atm trying to learn+ i want to go back to thief. Perhaps i'm wrong maybe i'm missing something in which you guys will correct me, but i've seen some in the past mention problems regarding tutorials and learning+ when trying to learn in arena if you try versus player you get stomped if your a noob which i am and you don't learn and it becomes frustrating. I don't want to say x build is weak or op because obviously that is a poor decision due to not being good at pvp. Another thing i want to add:Some issues are player part not arenanet.How people act towards eachother such as: Sabotauging a game by not competing using profanity and toxicity towards others. Reluctance to help eachother and distancing. poor winners gloating. These kinda stuff are on us obviously. Not saying there isn't stuff that isn't arenanets fault obviously the stuff regarding balance and failures are on them not handling it. If they make holosmith or spellcounter or even catalyst Super OP thats on them, if representation of others isn't there, then thats on them.

I looked up a video I don't suppose i can practice with anyone here to get better? I tried yesterday couldn't find anyone to duel with and practice who knew the spec or they refused to give me the time to help and just insta gibbed me.

I got a question i read that support guard used to be real good in SPVP is it still meta? And can you take it still to high tier like plat 1-3 with support guard?

The argument was the class would not be desireable without something to be used and now it is because dps is higher. You said the class didn't need any changes now you are saying it changes nothing i'm saying it can be at 36-37k and its fine its competitive enough that it can be taken heck even if 35 is kinda on the low side its still able to compete with the likes of mech and be taken. And you accused me of necroing out of revenge. I want the class to be succeeding not to fail. The fact its at 35 changes a lot for the better for the class.Now is it perfect? NO but its a start. The reason i argue with you is because you keep aspausing to nothing has changed at 35 that its same as 31-32k but thats a big noticeable amount for a class. Now the big thing in raids is they will still have some very niche things but its def a improvement to be happy about and something to celebrate

But it did change a little its more desireable now. We just need for a bit more DPS and it wil be perfect. Because of the hp its unlikely to hit 40k+ to be on that level but 36-37 is reasonable.

Reaper is a class with some CC and dps some utility it can bring might be useful yes but its not say: Barrier to everyone or good heals or something. Reaper is clearly a DPS class and thus should have dps that allows it to be viable for raids, if its not then you failed. From what i heard virtuoso has pretty high dps but i don't have the experience to back it up with soulbeast or deadeye. I can back up what i say about necro because i've played reaper in raids and i remember a time where someone shouted me out and told me play something else angrily being toxic and all towards me for daring to play reaper.

So i'm a noob and did one day while streaming catalyst cause i heard it was really solid looked up metabattle and it said i should use finishers in the fields. Is that one of the big things for big dmg is using finishers in fields then attack? i was using chill then the water trident for instance It says go from fire attacks to lightning use earth shielding to number 1 on earth. I have no idea what i was doing but i was getting destroyed and somehow i managed to reach top rank without a clue. in dmg and kills.

since you guys talkin bout cata not sure if i should ask wether or not it really is about using finishers in combo fields to do more dps? I was reading metabattle its telling me to use chill then use water trident for big damage and fire field combined with finisher for big dmg. I was able to do a few kills i got proof of course i got a stream showing me killing people for daily of course i didn't do for long.

I noticed that with cele in open world that sustain def noticeable.

Gotta say i'm really liking engi so far enjoying kits and throwing nades its a lotta fun shoulda tried it before.

You said this and to that i say its nonsense. If you make content where one person is excluded, you are as a dev setting yourself up for failure. Content is meant to be enjoyed and yes sometimes you can have a build thats not viable in one situation but viable in pvp for instance say world of warcraft has different stuff one for pve one for pvp, same for gw2 some stuff is built for pvp. Having a entire elite being prevented from doing content because they are going to get bullied due to making it so severely underpowered that it encourages toxicity and harrassement is madness and that is why i said i said what you said is nonsense. If content isn't balanced correctly, then you as a dev are failing at your job. Imagine if i made a entire class with awesome lore awesome graphics but unable to compete in content, well why create such a thing? nobody is going to play it if they are going to get grief. Nowright now 35k is probably more or less fine maybe kind of on the low side by 1 or 2k but its still a good start.
