  2. Single target quickness upkeep with any interruptions is where the spec falls apart without perfect (group)play. I'd at least like some sort of out of combat regeneration. Feels epicly bad to have to end up in a situation where you start a single target fight with 0 energy and be a dummy for however many seconds it takes to have energy for at least 2 fields at once. Wasn't that much of a problem when you had to use only one field for quickness, obviously.
  3. I'd say it is just botched text. I doubt they are willing to experiment with Cata having quickness access on all attuments. I had hopes, though.
  4. Imho they should've added a leap finisher as well. Have it blast at the end, now it is blasting weirldy at the start.
  5. Spectacular Sphere: This trait now grants quickness when deploying your jade sphere in any attunement, in addition to the boons currently granted. Quickness duration reduced from 5 seconds to 2 seconds. Thought this would also affect WvW or PvP since it is not explicitly stated. Why or why not make it so? EDIT: It is currently only active word for word in PvE.

  7. Nice bait. Nice reddit formating. What are you expecting here? If you'd do enough damage to be competetive you'd have characters to switch to or still be able to play Mirage. You don't play top end PvE or PvP. You can literally still play this and be fine.
  8. I did not even think of this. We stack and we fill but we do not know if we can cast one two or three spheres. We literally have to calculate pixels... I guess that is complaint #253 about this spec.
  9. In fractals you get full charge when you touch the thing. This clunk is felt the most in PvP/WvW, where you're fishing for good hits and need a decent amount of them to not feel like playing core Elementalist.
  10. Is that because of toughness/tanking? I am a celestial ele enthusiast and if that is the case you can't run it on pretty much anything, yes?
  11. It is not optimal but they did mention they are looking at other methods to as well? So far the easiest is to do a level ten toon. I myself have books to make like ten level 80s. A couple of hours or a couple of sPvP matches should have you set. There are also some tomes of mentorship in HoT.
  12. This is the secret to enjoying this class. You can do T4 fractals with Cele gear pretending to be cDPS weaver/quickness catalyst or alac/heal Tempest pretty confidently with this. That extends to pretty much any content that does not require you to minmax tryhard. Most of all I'd focus on if you enjoy the frantic piano gameplay. You can't be pushing "good" numbers without actually mechanically grasping the class well enough.
  13. FYI Firebrand still exists and has perma quickness with good cDPS. Catalyst/Ele was nerfed because... Who knows? The 1% stacked something somewhere btw.
  14. True enough. Hard swapping isn't really a problem, but wanting to play more than 1 build at a time would make this very expensive. All in all I want to play more things at once, not just migrate to the hottest build.
  15. Hey. Probably was talked about but I couldn't find any threads about it. What is the point of this stat? Gold sink? Progression? I'd like to experiment with more than just one build at T4s but the prospect of farming out different gear sets and all the necessary AR for it to be even usable is very... not the current GW2 iteration. I mean this is the only piece of PvE content that is gated behind some serious investment into a singular character, not just the account. And you can't just outplay it either.
  16. This situation is beyond stupid and goes to show how vapid the "cornerstone gamemode" comment really was. No solutions and more importantly not even an acknowledgement of this situation whatsoever. Bad look all around.
  17. You can't stunbreak through longbow 5, logbow 3 is unblockable. Test of Faith is unblockable. Spear pull is ublockable. Not invisible? Read what Rune of the Trapper does, dude. 11k HP with heavy armor and that toolkit isn't really an argument. Guess why he can have 3 offensive traitlines?
  18. Nothing rivals that sweet unblockable, undodgable, invisible, pulling, AoE, trapping sweet sweet 5k crits per hit minimum DAMAGE. The level of annoing is pretty much on par or surpassing the decap thiefs and the whole class >Necromancer<.
  19. Hey, didn't see this mentioned through forums searches so here I am. On at least 4 occasions I got stuck in textures using hammer air 4 (Wind Storm). Two of which were in story instanced and reseting those just because I got stuck in a well is not a pretty feeling. Not sure why this is happening, maybe the textures behind "disappear" after a while and you get clipped through the wall? The pushback is pretty fast as well so maybe the physics sometimes just let you push through those obstacles. https://i.imgur.com/sXORVcE.png
  20. I am 100% behind needing a new ranged option but aesthetically rifles, bows, guns (maybe some sort of magical gunslinger would be cool) are a no-go. Why do we still lean on this archaic design that an Elite spec has to have a new weapon attached to it? Maybe just remake the Staff so it does somthing new while specced into this Elite.

  22. Elementalist was rigged from the start. You literally cannot balance this class when it has four weapon swaps. Four. Weapon. Swaps. By that logic every single skill is 1/2 of anyone's regular skill.
