Very sorry for your loss. 😔 And don't worry about the JPs. We will continue porting you around (provided I can personally finish the kitten JPs, they are my true Nemesis).

Is Nevermore IV: The Hatching bugged?
gousgou.5438 replied to Loco.4561's topic in Players Helping Players
I did that part a week ago, it can't be bugged. Did you jump in the lava (or hover with a skyscale almost touching it) at the spot the world boss spawns? Hugging the lava pool does not work. Here is a very easy to understand vid that will give you the exact spot:- 1 reply

There is no way in hell someone can get 5min farms as the norm. For example in the video you linked almost all the berry shrubs were unguarded, on a guardian with aegis and the AoE farm glyph was used on a Consortium Harvesting Sickle (which by itself is the fastest tool in the game). The video only missed quickness and stealth application for the ultimate cheese. A more realistic expectation would be 10-12mins for a solid berry farm run. Just saying so the OP doesn't think he is useless for not finishing 5min clears.

The second line of the original post literally says "constant NPC speech bubbles dead center of your screen". The brown pop-ups (and just a reminder they exist on all maps, not only the new SotO maps) could have a toggle/tick-box on them to never display again, but anyhow you can press ESC and they go away. The kitten speech bubbles from the radio transmissions do not go away until they time out, they are very frequent and they block your vision field when you try to interact/shoot/target something while playing. Peitha's whispers are also stupid spamming the chat window and being the same color as a normal whisper from players leading to missed whispers or generally popping up and having to scroll the chat around to read normal communications. In general they thought "Hey this will help immersion" but it has gone too far, they need to weed them out.

The speech bubbles popping up when I try to aim with the skyscale fireball really kitten things up for me constantly. Can we please get an option to disable bubbles from NPC radio transmissions. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease!!!!!!!!!!

Got 80 Acclaim less because i did my weekly fast
gousgou.5438 replied to neffi.9175's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
The problem is that people already report that the daily chest gives them 20AA and not 30AA as the tooltip says. There is confusion all over the place! -

gousgou.5438 replied to neffi.9175's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
Is that 80 less AA for the current weeklies or for all weeklies from now on? Because 80 less every week for a Wizards vault cycle is about 1000AA, that is not negligible in the long run. -
New Hacks in WvW? Seen Something New

Was it by any chance a Norn bladesworn? -
It would be hilarious if you got counter-pulled on top!

When you join any squad (no only the squads in the Labyrinth) and you are at the same map as the squad members (you can actually see the members as blue dots in the mini map and the map) you need to right click on a member of the squad list/grid (ideally the squad commander) select the option to "Join them" at their instance of the map (on the squad grid green boxes represent people that are at the same instance of the map as you and grey/empty boxes represent members at different instances of the map - or even other maps entirely). Note that some map instances that you want to go to can be full and you have the option to join a queue to transfer there (it is very common in squads for the labyrinth and squads for meta events and world bosses if you don't join a bit earlier than the start of the event). Hope that helps.

Sure, when the OP is banned I expect that you will argue with ANet on his behalf and unban his account based on your interpretations of their rules, correct?
-
Well you quote the Policy which also contains this: "You cannot use macros to participate in activities or events, such as Bell Choir." and this (which can be argued a bit due to wording - wth does "particularly" while AFK means????) "You cannot use macros for the sole purpose of farming items, currencies, karma, or other benefits in the game, particularly while away from the keyboard (AFK)." Since the OP wants to automate an activity (hitting mobs to tag them and get rewards) it's way too risky. I cannot understand why doesn't he/she just keep the key pressed and select auto-targetting from the in-game options (even if they use a heavy object to keep the key pressed while using the mouse to move around)?

Well they unified the tokens, adjusted the vendors and less that a month ago created a portal in LA for all of them. Making a new pass at things you can get from vendors and maybe iron out a few glitches is not that far fetched.

New Hacks in WvW? Seen Something New
gousgou.5438 replied to Jitters.9401's topic in World vs. World
Maybe you should roll a thief and enjoy if you see something extraordinary there? I usually play support at WvW and roaming thieves I encounter either blow themselves up from my reflects (and sending me nasty msgs afterwards asking for 1-on-1s) or I just ignore them and do what I have in mind. On power builds I remember dying to them a lot. Never cried on the forums about stealth and hard hitting abilities from stealth (and in that video the thief is hitting people really low imo). -

What I see is his/her UI bugged and he hovers (and maybe clicks) on portals mainly, while at the same time checking the CDs. -

What exactly is the bad and toxic design shown in the video you linked? -
Well I agree with you but having every single mechanic being unavoidable and maybe extremely punishing needs to be implemented with great care. I think we don't want ultra fast reaction times for example as people play from regions with high ping (Oceania people for example) and we also don't want to punish and exclude people that have some disabilities and/or are a bit old (maybe?). For example the hammer that breaks seals at Cliffside is a do or you do not progress mechanic that is solid (AoE and adds spawning can be tuned so that you don't need to do everything at break-neck speeds but they can overwhelm and wipe you if you don't get your feet moving). Having to do rope jumps like playing Worms with the ninja rope in Silent Surf sucks @ss. Having to clear the platform adds there or else you get a -33%dmg, -33% hit points debuff for each you do not kill would also be something that forced people to do the mechanics. I hope I've given you an idea of what I mean.

Well everything I made bold for you is the problem and it is not coming from casuals. This mentality only comes from experienced players that only care for speed for everything, brute forcing everything because Anet has allowed builds reaching braindead 50k dps and a metric ton of durability for them at the same time. It's not only fractals, it's raids and strikes as well. I've seen 8x scourge plus 2x quickness "bots" in 10man content brute force burning through every encounter. That needs to change. It's one thing coming up with clever ways to play the encounters and a completely different thing ignoring everything because we can burn through the boss fast enough to cancel entire phases of the fight.

I believe aiming the rope just behind the mob is the safest way to get to the platform. I personally have a really hard time getting to the last fight through all the acrobatics needed. Maybe I will improve with time. 😝
