I thought that defending something was dead after they removed defense participation but it is even more hilarious now. If you do not have same size boonshitblob (and you do not have one) you literally can not do anything - you are loosing participation because if you do not kill some special enemy then "you are not defending", your upgraded objective is worthless, your siege do nothing to attackers, you can not disable, trying to repair is just a big joke.. and imagine trying to defend your garri/earth against two servers, lol. So people just run away to the oposite side of the map and try to cap something else without enemies. I really feel eNcOuRAgEd! Thank you 👏

Remember when blasting water fields was the way to heal?

The thing is that back then you had to be a proactive and in most cases you had to do something to get something else in return, i.e. someone had to place a water field and someone had to blast it to get healing, same with pre-stacking might, retaliation, swiftness and so.. now, everything comes for free and just pops up. Also there was not much target/skill cap, so smaller group could outplay bigger group, which is not possible now and literally numbers win. -
What do you mean, there is no other way to take an objective than to use siege 😄 However, aboslutely no for this swap/idea. It would just bring more drama with zero benefit. Plus one important thing that escorting doly gives you at least partitiaption (if you get escort event which is not required to count towards weekly), but destroying gate/wall gives you nothing except wxp, it does not even count towards capture event..

One important thing is that skills are mostly limited to target only 5 players/targets (which is alrightish in even numbers scenarios, but really really sucks when outmanned), but it was not at start so you had greater chance to kill larger group (not only skills but your skill involved). So I think it would be beneficial to increase target cap, for example at least, for boon removal skills or so. It could lead to more lively live encounters (but I am not sure if it would not affect or bring skill lag or lag in general). Sadly, numbers are important due to target cap atm and groups are not punished by staying in lava or aoe because only a few will get hit in the end. WvW turned into PvE style content when 5 player subgroups living their perma boon live which is broken and bad.. Edit: just adding this one more an example. When a group bombed some place it bombed the place (not partially). It is like when you mow grass, you take one swing and you mow all the grass. Currently, you take one swing and mow only 5 blades of grass so you can imagine the difference (not even for smaller groups).

Hello, could we have "left shift" key (+ mouse click) for pinging on mini map as a configurable control, please? I have a bit diffrent key binding and I use already left shift for something and it is quite inconvenient when I need to ping in a combat.. Thanky.
