i was disappointed in the announcement but none of that was directed at the devs they do a fantastic job. if i was upset it was upper management for over hyping the event but not enough to lash out to them. the people who do the work are top notch people from what i can see. there are many releases i have shout out nothing but praise. to me thats yelling at someone at the corner grocery store when the person i was mad at is the higher ups who make the rules. i never would yell at someone just doing there job

ill vote your poll now cause i wasnt sure if you had played it or not and my opinion they had been doing this but yes i would like it i liked dragonfall a lot because of how it was done id like them take it a step further though. instead of putting them in new maps re do older maps. less maps to spread the population. old maps who dont have pof can still do mets event on the timer people who have pof get an extra story and other things they included in dragonfall the currencies and item from vendors

dont overthink the changing of the word means it leads to disappointment. id love to see this but i think of it more as a name change because if it is more ill be happier and more likely to praise

they could leave the events for everyone, and leave the story parts for the people who have pof. i like that thought that way people who dont have pof dont entirely feel left out and have more to do meta events for longer. that was my thing about dragonfall that those that move onto another map will leave event with less people to do the event. that way people who have pof still get there story updates. might be something arenanet considers in the future. love to see more comments on this

You don't know that until we have gotten to experience the new content for ourselves. I believe the new stuff ahead of us could blow our minds (or at least be a huge step forward in PvE). Unless you are referring to the "Soon" and "We are working on it" announcements on PvP and WvW. ;) your right but i don't want to over hype my thoughts like this and just get what we have been getting. id rather be skeptical then get a good feeling when they exceeded my expectations

actually thought this was mentioned at one time but i might have dreamed it. that surprised me when the mentioned going north which meant new maps and further eroding player base

i personally dont think its the devs fault at all. they actually do a really good job doing what they do creating a wonderful game. im excited to be going north. i personally like fashion wars and genstore i know not everyone does. i feel the lack of hinting whats coming after ls hurt them the most. if i were to place blame it would be someone higher not sure how high id go. i want a direction i feel as im rudderless not sure where game is going atm. i was disappointed they just sort of stuck cooking 500 and jewerly 500( that there suprised me and loved that announcement) to follow that up with the same old message we keep getting. i know strike and changing name os season to saga with no really announce how they are going to be different as if they will be so i except same thing. so yes lack of future direction hurt them most in my heart

ls 5 would be better if it gave us more than ls4 did ls4 wasn't bad but it didn't bring expansion like content and that's what i thought i heard that ls was supposed to be able to deliver that type of content. especs would be a joy or something a long that line. i see speculation we will get several maps but im not sure about that. might be rumor only. a meta or two that replayable would be nice. they did do that in dragonfall so it not like its not doable. new mastery's are the same thing we have been getting not sure if i care for those not that i hate them just meh to me. just posting my thoughts getting closer to releasing expansion type content is where i want to go

have you done the dragonfall map it reminds me of dragonstand as in meta. so im saying they have don't this already. even the thunderhead peaks has a meta attached so im not sure what you are looking for i didn't vote til i get a bit more clarification

i prefer the trickle things that way they can get on bugs of one thing before they introduce another plus im not required to try more then one trying at once

im not calling myself mad more disappinted they overhyped something im still excited over the announcement right before 500 conking and jewelry which in my opinion should have been in the live stream and then i would have defended the live stream. yes i like we are going Norn surprised a bit about Jormag thought they announced not going against the next dragon at first so yes a bit surprised amd ok with that. the 10 man strike i didnt really care something to as i read to replace raids ok move over raids just like move over dungeons. skill templates ok they announced that already thats news we knew already. at the end i sat there wondering more why all this hype over most stuff we knew were coming. rest was trying to sell stuff ok no problem there but not what i wanted. dont pvp so dont even recall what they said there wvw no news nor update about alliances thats ok whats the big thing for all this hoopla nothing nothing at all so yes big disappointment no news about whats coming after the living story. oh i forgot saga no more season so what call the same thing a different names whoop de do. masteries ok we get the same thing every saga or season anyways. i sit here thinking why do all this for not much to start with. i like the news we got but it was expected so the theatre and hiring people to host wasnt needed. heck ruby could have done a better job and she does on her regular spots she does. ikm not mad not going to stop playing not going to buy less gems just disappointed a hint of something would have been better for all this hype

i wasnt disappointed by hearing this stuff but they didnt need to do so much hype just for the same announcement they have done before. they hyped it up so i thought it might be a bit more then normal which it wasnt. i feel if they would have waited on the cooking announcement til after this and included it with the live stream instead of before then that might have lived up to the hype for the event. they gave us the same amount of info they normally give there ls announcement so the live stream wasnt need for it and the extra of renting out a studio and all the announcements werent needed. they put too much effort into the same old announcement. even if they put in a tidbit of whats coming after the next ls like announce the another ls coming or expansion i might have been less ticked off. some one said in another thread they need to fix their hype machine i totally agree with that statement

in truth if they would have held cooking announcement to this livestream and theatre event i wouldnt have been so disappointed. they really should have waited on the cooking to 500 also jewelry announcement then i would have felt this big thing was something. i think anet has to tailor there announcements better. the cooking thing being a big thing and given little announcement compared huge announcement and pretty much giving us stuff we almost already knew or could guess. its funny how i went with ecstatic over cooking and soon jewelry announcement to meh over this one. yeah strike might be a good idea the least they could have done was given us a nugget to what was coming after the next season and it didnt have to include anything about what was in it it could have been hey and yes ls6 will be coming after five announcement

my favorite memories are the first exploring of an area. i did the nostalgia thing where i compared areas to gw. i remember timberline falls and kessex hills thinking how utterly beautiful they were. living story season 1 had some good and bad but the destruction and change in kessex hills how i loved the marionette. seeing the shadow behemoth the first time. i did that event a million times since but nothing like the first time. getting my first mount always thought id hate mounts but getting the raptor changed my m ind on mounts in games

What could that possibly be? Everything could get done in a matter of days, there was nothing that kept me going - it was just a daily chore after the first few days. i had limited time this festival never got chance to do race nor the arena. i wanted to try both but never found the time

mermer portals are the biggie for me(im old and have trouble doing jps) but anytime someone helps me out. one thing was one random in dr stated he was giving presents to people who sent him one gold. i sent him one gold and he sent back three expensive skins i didnt have but i always loved getting skins. i know one was 50 or so gold cause i had been saving up for it and hadnt quite got it. i try my best to help out other when i can

same thing here usually get sickof festivals mid way through but i didnt with this one there really was more i wanted to try and do

loved the event really wish i would have more time to spend there didnt get to do all i wanted but thats life for me. thanks anet for the event
