  1. They certainly won't give you any sort of generic approval in a public forum; that could be abused by other users. IP/IC laws are very nuanced and you'd most likely need to submit some sort of detailed description of what you were doing and you might manage to get some tacit approval along the lines of how they worked with the arcdps developer. But for the limited use case you have outlined, I doubt it's worth either your time documenting it or their time reviewing it.
  2. I've never paid for any TP2Fs and I have nearly two stacks' worth.
  3. The biggest issue is probably around hero points. If you reset world exploration, would that also remove the hero points you earned and thus break your build?
  4. Or ... do Vault things that are very similar to the old dailies and choose rewards that are very similar to the old rewards (except you get more).
  5. For the record, I'm extremely uncomfortable with the idea of mudering thousands and thousands of sentient beings, but somehow I've managed to overcome my sensibilities in order to enjoy video games..
  6. Look out for this heart too! https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Partake_in_the_moot
  7. But you don't have to do the hours in one go; you can spread them over as long a period as you are comfortable with. You can earn plenty of progress in WvW doing PvE stuff. The best part is your participation level does not diminish in between sessions, so once you hit the top tier, it's easy to stay at that level just by flipping a camp or the like every ten minutes. You can chill back at spawn in between times.
  8. Are you sure? I thought it was Flame Legion, Dredge and Separatists?
  9. From the wiki: Dynamic events are cyclical in nature and often chained together in a series called a "meta-event" (or even just "meta" by the younger generation). They do not necessarily follow a fixed schedule. Many are only triggered (i.e., become active) if certain conditions are met—for example, if a snow storm strikes an area or night falls in a graveyard. Many events are triggered by the presence of a player entering the events' immediate areas. Once an event has been triggered, it will continue to progress whether or not players participate in that event, although in certain instances it might pause if the NPC(s) involved end up being downed, in which case the first action players must take is to revive them.
  10. Take a good tagging build to this event: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Prevent_the_bandits_from_blowing_up_the_water_pipes It lasts about six minutes (there's also a shorter follow up) and you get a lot of bandits spawn in that time.
  11. I think it depends how populated your home instance is. I use the Charr one a lot and there's plenty of other stuff around the Wintersday gift.
  12. Vesperite equates to mitril ore. Orichalcum is much rarer than mithril throughout Tyria and therefore worth about twice as much. So you could always sell some of your orichalcum and buy mithril with the proceeds.
  13. That's not accurate by the way. The mastery points you want can be earned in any Heart of Thorns map or any LS3 map. You could for example venture into Tangled Depths and track down 2 of the 5 strongboxes in that map.
  14. 18,000 hours in 7 years equates to 7 hours a day, every single day for those years. If you then factor in repeated breaks from the game, that means you are likely playing for 12+ hours a day during active periods. No entertainment platform in the world can delivery satisfying content at that rate of consumption, let alone one that costs maybe £20 a year.
  15. I haven't seen it trigger for a long time, but I think being mounted also saves you.
  16. Good news; someone is working on GW3 as we speak. Just not anet. And it won't be called GW3.
  17. The only time I complain is when I use my Gleam of Sentience and get a low level soulbound item that can't even be vendored 😞
  18. Maybe if you want an adult discussion, you shouldn't start from the viewpoint that people who have a different opinion to you are "in denial". I love GW2, have been here for 11+ years, have over 18K hours in game and have so much left to do. But I realise that other people view it differently. I hang out in this forum to try and help other players when I can. My particular bugbear are the people in the forum who don't seem to consider the game has any redeeming qualities. Rather than moving on to a different game that they would enjoy more, they stick around and tell the rest us we're wrong to enjoy the game and spend £20 a year for hundreds of hours of entertainment.
  19. Actually, if you complete a few of the weekly and special WV achievements, you can easily get a full set inside a few months. One of my guildies only plays a couple of hours each week, but he was able to claim 3 ascended armour chests from each of the first two seasons.
  20. Lots of threads (unsurprisingly) on this topic. Here's a recent one. The first response has good suggestions. A lot depends on what maps you have unlocked / want to visit.
  21. I wrote a single stack of each. 250 yellow @ 58Gold + 250 Green @ 10 Gold + 250 Blue @ 2Gold50 = 70Gold50 (current TP prices). Tyria.
  22. One single stack of each would net you around 70Gold. Interesting definition of junk. Peronally, I think the introduction of unidentified gear was the best change anet ever made. Prior to that, doing an event such as Octovine was a nightmare! The obvious way to increase their value is to make them rarer. So you are advocating less frequent precursor drops?
  23. You claim you got your MF to 140% nine times and it reset to zero every time. That means you achieved 1260% MF in a very short time. I think that's what I'm having trouble with. After playing continuously for 11 years, I've made it to 225%.
