Yes, of course for WVW. So, from your answer, I guess there is no reliable way to know when to check if a full world has gone to very high. Based on that, my random checking will continue unless someone has better info.
Anyone know when the population status of worlds is updates on the character select screen? Is it simply when it changes or is there a set schedule for updates?
While this isn't consistent with the subject of this thread, I agree this is a game-killing problem that Anet needs to fix with the full implementation of Alliances. I did not expect it to be addressed in this alpha/beta, but it has to be eventually.
I get this error message -
The serial code given was not recognized by our system. Please try again.
Edit: nvm. I realized I made a mistake trying to apply it. Carry on.
Good that it was confirmed, but on your point about delaying ... they did exactly this 2 years ago and it was not well received.
Would have been nice to have it confirmed in something other than a Discord that only a portion of us use.
Their communication skills are abysmal.
I haven't done any of the suggested fixes. If I launch from the icon pinned to my taskbar I get the freeze and lockout. If I launch from the desktop icon or from the Windows Start Menu, the game runs fine.
I have no idea why this is.
However I start it, it does still lock up if I have arcdps installed.
This might help - I always launch from the icon pinned to my taskbar. I tried launching from the start menue and it worked. So I removed the old pinned icon and pinned the shortcut icon on the desktop, then launced from that new pinned icon. It worked. Try it.
Had this problem last night. Updated my Nvidia driver and removed arcdps and got it working. Even worked later in the evening with the most updated arcdps. Tonight, back to locking up my computer. Removed arcdps and still no go.
I'm not messing around with my computer, though. The problem is on Anet's end with this update. They need to fix it, I don't need to be fiddling around with things that worked fine 48 hours ago.
I'm fairly new to WVW and have a lot of questions. Here's one of them -
From the wiki, I understand that the green team is the one that went down a tier in the previous match. However, I've heard people on my server say that they're happy with being green and actually want it. Before I ask them directly I wanted to see if there's something I'm missing. Is there?

In WVW the last couple of weeks every now again I get a spectral eagle flying above my head for a while. Nothing obvious causes it. It disappears when I change maps. This is on my Soulbeast in case that matters. There is nothing in my buff bar that explains it. I can hear a subtle swoosh when it flaps its wings.
Anyone know what it is?
Just started happening to me today (6/11). Very annoying. Malchor's Leap.
Edit:
I've played WVW and maps with the dailies since Tuesdays with no problems. Today in ML was my first experience with crashes, which were continual. I moved out and played in Snowden's and Vabbi with no problems.
This indicates to me that the crash problem is only affecting certain maps.
Thanks.
Now I have another Warclaw question -
I saw one rear up on its hind legs and growl periodically. Is that a feature of some skin? A glitch? A hack?
