I'm relatively new to using heals with my Guardian and was wondering if AOE healing affects downed players.

To follow up and conclude, I started getting achievement credit for the races as soon as I crossed the finish line and Ace Racer started tolling , too. So, I don't know what it was. As far as staying on the map until the race finishes, that appears to apply to the rewards and not to credit for the achievement. As far as I can figure.

It's possible I left the map before the race ended. I'll try again. Thanks.

There's a long timer on the official race. Did you stay until you got the pop up for gold?I almost left, because I had several minutes left and was planning on swapping characters; I just barely stopped myself before I remembered I hadn't yet gotten credit. Wait...you have to get gold for it? There's nothing in the acheive panel to indicate that. It looks like it's just a completion thing.

I finished the race in the Pavilion twice and it's still showing zero for me. Am I missing something?

Agreed. I'd probably buy one of them if I could but I don't need or want all four. I'll wait.

As the title asks. Is there an achievement associated with having a certain number of them? Or are they just betting on getting some rare, random drop?

Thanks for the responses. It sounds like quite a few of us are in the dark about this mechanic. FWIW, the best I remember, the three or four times I've noticed her showing up were on precursor events like escorts with 4-6 other players participating. And, I've also seen the message about not enough players to call Aurene at least a couple of times that I've noticed. Obviously, there is a wide variety of situations in which our little darling decides to swoop in and help us.

What is it that triggers Aurene showing up during events in DF? I've seen her joining the fight a few times and have no idea why.

My AOE spells seemed pretty wonky in the Teq fight yesterday. It was my first and I'm not sure if that was unusual for that fight. But they definitely targeted differently from normal.

I know that, the fact I tried it in Dragonfall means I know how the achievement works, right? However I don't care, I'm angry because this mastery sounds like a shortcut for the achievement yet it's not, hence I feel cheated. A shortcut to an achievement which can be done by flying up/down in Melandru's realm on Dragonfall at the wing or near the story related vista, both spots which have around 60-70 Volatile Magic and can't be missed since the story makes you pass them? How much easier is this achievement supposed to get? It takes 5 minutes of work per day for 3-4 days without shortcut. Using a rift would even slow down the completion rate since the Volatile Magic is spaced out a lot further than those 2 spots I mentioned...I found the cluster of volatile magics at the wing but where is the story related vista cluster?

I misunderstood what the "Disable Personal Story" did to the Content Guide. I thought it would remove the green text in the upper right hand corner telling me to go to the next step in the story. It does not. It only removes it from the arrow compass at the very top. This is helpful because it allows it to direct you to local places and events instead of being overwritten by the green personal story star. But the text remains and I would like to remove that because I have no interest in doing the story again after finishing it three times. It's not a huge deal, just another minor annoyance that would be a nice QOL boost if changed.

That's about 70 MPH for us folk who use that measure.

It's annoying, sure, but I don't think it affects my play or rewards except if additional players cause an even to scale up and they're not contributing. Not sure how to tell if that is happening or not. FWIW, surprisingly, I see this a lot with commanders calling out events then just sitting there while most others participate.

I've always enjoyed SW on my Griffon. I need to go try it on the Skyscale, VB, too. Fun stuff.

Disabling it in options DOES NOT remove it from your UI. Which doesn't make sence. That way, the game is indirectly forcing you to play a content that you a) dont want to play, or b) had already played thus making it pointless to replay it. That's my experience, too. Doesn't make sense that option does not do what it implies.
