  1. It was more than that. Berserker's power used to be a persistent dmg increase based on adrenaline bars and Heightened Focus was a persistent crit chance increase based on adrenaline bars. You used to be able to run all over a map with your adrenaline never dropping below 2 bars with a constant DPS boost. Naturally Thieves in pvp wined on the forum about this along with your comments above and the Warrior core mechanic got a huge 'update.' I'm not going to call it a nerf, promoting more active gameplay was probably for the better, but I do remember being despondent about it and stepped away from the game for a while. I'm fine with Berserker's Power now, but I want the old Heightened Focus back. I also wouldn't mind if the adrenaline decay didn't start so soon after you get out of combat, or if it decayed a little slower. I don't have problems gaining adrenaline when I need it. There are healing skills, utility skills, elite skills, and traits for that. Can't expect your core mechanic to not suck if you don't spec for using it properly. If you are getting kited, then use a gap closer or pull out a rifle and Volley them. But, seeing as Thieves were so successful in the past with their QQ, go on and QQ until we get some nerfs unnerfed. It'll just make my job killing in WvW easier.
  2. No, that's not what I said at all. I'm going to urge you to start a minimum of comprehending my posts if you want to continually troll me. Not much to ask. I don't think it's a good situation where a skill is used primarily for it's secondary effects; people aren't using head butt to stun ... they are using it for a quick, adrenaline fill up. I don't think that's it's original intention, but that's how it's being used. That's not a hard concept to follow. I didn't say anything about reacting to a skill. Do people really use headbutt? i haven't seen a warrior use it in WvW, perhaps because it is a highly telegraphed skill that gives 0, nada, nothing if you miss. The only good thing about it, is that its on a low cooldown. I rather have a skill that will be reliable 90% of the time (rampage). Also, headbutt is a one target skill, NO THANKS. Pretty much any other skill does nothing if you miss, your ""argument"" is invalid. We are talking about an elite skill. If your elite skill has 0 effect on you or the enemy, then you need a better strategy boy. Again, not the first nor the last skill that is exactly like this. You're literally trying to say that if an elite skill is avoidable in any way, then it's useless, lmao. You really do need a better strategy in this thread, boy. Also good job avoiding anything that calls you out on your kitten (again) while limiting yourself to answering to a single sentece....and even then you still somehow manage to be wrong :anguished: Once again you missed the point, "We are talking about an elite skill. If your elite skill has 0 effect on you or the enemy, then you need a better strategy boy."If you like headbutt so much then use it. I am not stopping you from using it. I see the skill for what it is and I chose other elite skills that are more reliable. Convince us that headbutt is better than I rampage.Convince us that headbutt is better than signet of fury.Convince us that headbutt is better than battle standard. I can think of only one way to use headbutt and that is to break the "bar" of champions.I ain't going to roam WvW with an elite skill that has a 0% chance of giving me any benefit it if misses. That is a horrible strategy! Intuition is what sets a master warrior from the rest.Rampage is a strong CC but also suffers from the same problem as Berserk Mode in that players that can will just kite you until its over. "I ain't going to roam WvW with an elite skill that has a 0% chance of giving me any benefit it if misses. That is a horrible strategy!" You can hit with Headbutt, stop being a noob. Signet of Fury gives you 30 Adrenaline and a DPS increase for 4s. Headbutt breaks stuns, stuns, deals damage, and grants 30 adrenaline on the same cooldown untraited. They do something similar, but Headbutt offers more utility in that also a stun and a stunbreaker. So Headbutt is a straight upgrade. Battle Standard is a strong team support skill that gives boons, rezzes friendlies and downs unfriendlies. In a zerg v zerg you should run this and camp rifle if your zerg is gong full pirate ship. If your zerg is going to melee bomb then Headbutt will be better to help land the burst with Blood Reckoning to clean up with. As far as roaming Battle Standard doesn't offer you that much other than ranged stomping, so you have 0% benefit. If you were using BS for the boons, then Rage Signet is better. So as a roamer Headbutt offers you more. TLDR; L2P everyone can be hit with Headbutt, if you missed then you fcked up.
  3. I> @ProverbsofHell.2307 said: I'm guessing you're saying this from a PvE perspective? I can see why Mace 5 would seem fine from this perspective. It is even used in core bannerslave builds. However for WvW, it is useless. Being a projectile, hard to land and a huge cooldown makes this skill unusable. The changes I suggested (making it non-projectile like CoR) would make it playable and wouldn't affect PvE negatively. The CC wouldn't change. I’ve actually used to use mace 5 to set up kill shot or 100b. You still can, just use it at point blank range and don’t be a noob about it. Could even be a set up for Arc Divider or Decapitate now. Just because you don’t like it does not mean it is ineffective or outdated.
  4. Mace 5 is a strong knockdown. Both the wave and the mace swing deal damage. Mace 4 hits hard. Mace OH is the OH of choice for power builds that do not need the AOE of Whirling Axe.

Headbutt is amazing and a very viable part of Berserker. Besides it's breaking stuns, given full adren, can do about 10k dmg,and its a 3 sec stun, when using savage instinct you have a free break after entering berserk, and it also works great together with rousing.I have no issues landing this skill whatsoever.I have to second this. If you run Rousing Resilience and use HB after being stunned you get three things:1) Your enemy will be less likely to suspect HB after they CC you, thus is more likely to hit.2) HB gives you a small heal and 8s of +1000 toughness!3) Savage instinct will give you another small heal once you go into BMode! Its cute, and while I still prefer to go full glass with Berserker, Rousing Resilience is strong with HB and Savage Instinct and I highly recommend it for Berserkers that spec Defense. And yes I land HB often in WvW, even against players that I know are better than me. There is little tell if used at point blank range and comes out almost instantly in that case.
  6. You are correct on Sword, but wrong on Mace.
  7. I personally find Berserker stronger than Spellbreaker in PvP/WvW... That depends on the engagement and if the SB went double Endure or not. I've ranged a SP to death with a longbow on a power berserker, and have had a Axe/Shield SB hand my ass to me. Granted that one SB was a total noob, but I also out ranged a ranger that same day with a longbow on a power build so maybe WvW really is 99% noobs.
  8. I agree ... and as we have seen in the past, Anet take some small steps for these things until they hit the spot they think is good ... like the dozen direct DPS increases on Necro Axe. I'm surprised they didn't do the SPB Full Counter nerf ... 75% decrease was it? To be fair ... THAT is more like where Arc Divider should be ... around 5-7K total. ONce it get's there, people won't be so excited about Berserker anymore, guaranteed. I dunno, that Full Counter nerf was a bit too much. Yes it needed a nerf, but not the amount they did it. Now it’s an aegis with some tickle damage. I won't debate exactly what it should be ... but if it was too big at 20K to deserve a nerf ... it's still too much at 15K too. I'm anticipating another hit. How does it compare to Sic'em+Rapid Fire or Shatter Spike though? There are instagib spikes on several professions, so is a 15-20k Arc Divider that cannot be set up prior to entering combat that out of line? Honestly this. I don't have a problem with stuff like arc divider doing very high damage as you can't ambush someone with it like you can other silly high damage skills. Sure you can with death from above traited, jump on a crowd of enemies, spin to win x2 = easily kill a quarter of an enemy zerg solo or Warclaw maul + spin to win x2 = ez kills or Cloaking water / stealth + spin to win x2 etc you get the point I am trying to read this with a straight face, but I can't.Seriously, people suggesting cloaking waters to make berserker reliable as an ambush class. I am seriously laughing my donkey off just imagining a warrior sitting/camping cloacking waters for some one to come inside SMC. That has to be the most boring and pathetic warrior in GW2. Also, to use arc divider, you need adrenaline. How are you going to generate adrenaline if you remain in stealth? You need to be in combat to generate adrenaline, but if you attack, you get revealed so.... Literally just incorporate headbutt into any of those and it works. This is not a false statement. It is literally a FALSE statement. And to prove it, use it against an unsuspected guardian, you need 1 shot to remove the aegis and the second shot should be headbutt, only a really noob guardian would fall victim to this petty tactic. All classes have instant stun breaks traited, headbutt self stuns you for 1 sec, so it is you that becomes the target if the enemy is running instant stun break traits. Unless, you as the warrior have stun breaks too, then it is a tie and will only work if the enemy is not using any stun breaks. Savage Instinct says hi. Point of Headbutt isn't the stun, its the full adrenaline gain plus damage. Stun is just icing if they already blew their stunbreaks previously. As for Guardian. Signet of Might also says hi. Pick your utilities for the situation you find yourself in. If that Guardian is waiting for you to engage then take the time to slot proper utilities. Double post ... why?Pretty sure my toddler had me distracted, my apologies (also you commented on the double post with a double post  lol) Headbutt has a great deal in it, much like Blood Reckoning. HB is used to get into BMode more than the Stun, much as BR is used to recharge bursts more than it is used to heal. As I said, if you are using HB it usually isn't for the stun, its to build adrenaline for the burst and if the opponent stays stunned then /shrug.
  9. I am not disputing that. Anet does not like to give warrior nice things because anything too nice makes us OP in everyone's eyes. People already think we are too OP. Arc Divider pre nerf was a welcome niche that made warrior better at something and look at how people complained about it. If we ever get a new E-Spec I hope that it is one with better/faster mobility, and a better range option. But then that'll get nerfed 1 month post release.

  11. I'm still hitting players for 5-8k per section of a single Arc Divider. Doesn't seem very noodle like to me. OP please don't be like the Necro forums... My thoughts exactly. never happy until they're overpowered. Then it's "fine smile" LUL Please don't tell me you are one of those players that think warrior is OP? it is widely know that the most OP classes are:1.- Mesmer2.- Thief3.- ranger4.- Engineer5.- serker elementalist with focus6.- leaching revenant7.- One shot instant teleport serk guardian8.- berserker warrior (spell breaker can be higher in the list, but nowhere near the top)9.- necro The fact that the top classes with stealth occupy the top list is not a surprise is it?This game has so much BS skills. Yes Hitman, we know, warriors are so weak that when they finally kill someone a mesmer and thief have to come and carry them from the battlefield because they're so shocked they cant even stand anymore, while a ranger and engineer is constantly healing the warrior so he doesnt die from heart failure. And when they return to spawn everyone gather around them to congratulate the warrior on the near impossible victory, guardians yell to the skies about why they cant tank that good and necros just give a silent thumbs up in roamer to roamer acknowledgement."necros just give a silent thumbs up in roamer to roamer acknowledgement." That part got me lol.

  13. Can berserker magically teleport himself into the zerg (or above the zerg to launch himself into them like a bomb lel) and not dying in 1 sec? Endure Pain + Rush?Endure pain =/= immunity.Rush takes about 2.5 seconds to travel the full distance, that means 2.5 seconds exposed to attacks without means to defend yourself. by the time you reach enemy serg, you are left with 1.5 seconds endure pain. It is sometimes nice to play warrior once in a while so you know how things are going on for the warrior. I do play a great deal of warrior :pensive: since launch in fact. While EP is not immunity to condi you can also run Defiant Stance in addition to it or instead of it. Yes you need the signet or headbutt to land the burst, but you will survive long enough to land the burst and WWA out of there. swap to Sword if you need another mobility skill to get out. Perhaps you need to spend more time playing warrior yourself? Can berserker magically teleport himself into the zerg (or above the zerg to launch himself into them like a bomb lel) and not dying in 1 sec? Endure Pain + Rush? I refuse to accept a definition of the word "ambush" that includes a heavily armoured norn sprinting from a distance at an enemy group in plain sight while screaming at the top of his lungs. If that's a sneak attack then there's no actual point debating this hahaha xD Also, pretty sure you need adrenaline to enter berserk right? So if you use utilities to get adrenaline fast enough to open with arc divider, you then have basically no utilities left for the fight. And you are still as stealthy as a brick tied to a whoopie cushion thrown through a china shop window.I was pointing out the only real way warriors have to get into the zerg and melee bomb.
  14. Can berserker magically teleport himself into the zerg (or above the zerg to launch himself into them like a bomb lel) and not dying in 1 sec? Endure Pain + Rush?
  15. Nah, good thieves are hard to fight. Too much disengage. A good thief will just poke you to make your sustain go on CD and restealth and then burst you. Bad thieves stay near you while in stealth though. Bad mesmers do as well for that matter.
  16. that is a build i would never, ever use. trait wise:berserkers power instead of merciless hammerburst mastery instead of axe masterysavage instinct instead of smash brawlerking of fires instead of eternal champion (i know this sounds weird on a power build, just wait ;) ) rune wise:rune of fire (pvp) (aha, synergy with king of fires trait, +10% dmg that also works outside of berserk, so more overall damage then bloody roar + might gain) heal-skill wise:healing signet utility-skill wise:bulls charge instead of kickfrenzy instead of outrage that is what i'm using atm, and it's so strong in capable hands yes the rune may seem odd, but it deffo works with berserker start the fight, you get fire aura so +10% dmg from runewe don't use rage skills (minus bserserk) so we don't detonate fire aura, which means that for atleast 5 seconds we have +10% when entering a fight, which can and will become more once we critticaly hit and re-fresh fire aura . paired with a https://metabattle.com/wiki/Build:Weaver_-_Fire_Weaver and the amounts of fire fields tha you can leap through (and thus gain fire aura) are just kitten Berserk Mode and Primal Bursts both would detonate the Fire Aura though. So you are just guaranteeing extra damage while not in Berserk Mode, which is not a bad thing really and would be a way to make non-Berserk Mode suck less. I think you'd have higher damage with Bloody Roar while in Berserk Mode though. its basically an extra peak performance, with a frequenter accessit can't be removedit provides might and we can chose to detonate or not really i'm an "average" plat 3 player, normally leggy 1 and it works quite well. it's not spellbreaker great, but great nontheless If only the detonation did power damage as well as burning... ye tooltip says that it does, but it does not. would be awesome if it had an effect simmilar to ele transmute fire aura https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Transmute_Firepower damage, burning, might stacks and aoe would really make this trait viable thenYou could take in either a power or condi spec then. Rely on the power damage of the detonation when you go into Berserk Mode for a mini spike before once of the melee primal bursts.
  17. So, I'm not hitting like a wet noodle in WvW. Still downing people. Takes a little more baiting, or perhaps some noobs think they can face tank it now but I'm still hitting between 20-30k if all three hits connect.

  19. Well 1-3-2 if you run dagger MH or OH. Strength for Forceful Greatsword (50% chance for might on crit) + Might Makes Right, Discipline for Axe Training, and Axe/Dagger, Dagger/Axe would have high damage and high sustain. Loss Aversion and Winds of Disenchantment. Damage the enemies and gain adrenaline while bubbling (damage around 900-1k crit and enmasse (10 people)) how long? 5 seconds? how many damage pops? every 1 second so make that 5x 900-1k crit. how many people? make that 10x(5x(900-1k crit)) ideally. EDIT: lel February 06, 2018The damage from activations of this trait has been reduced by 33% in PvP and WvW only.December 12, 2017Added a missing skill fact; this trait now indicates that it cannot make critical strikes.Damage increased by 300% in PvE only.September 22, 2017 Path of Fire release:Loss Aversion has been added to the game. so yeah, just do the adjustments based on the updates. still the same factors just look at the current damage in WvWvW if you're on Full Zerkers armor and on Precision+Ferocity runes. i think i was describing my hazy memory when i hardcorely played SB. Loss Aversion and WoD tickle in WvW now. The usefulness there is in boon rips and projectile defense. If he is roaming in WvW 1-3-2 with Strength 3-2-2 and discipline 2-3-1 will offer good damage and sustain with axe/dagger & dagger/axe. damage is still damage. say if your zerg spike needed 200 dmg more to bring 10 people down, and there are 2-3 SB traited with Loss Aversion, what dya think will happen? and yeah, for roaming, 1-1-2 SB with WoD still works. Say a class with all the boons with 25 might up and doing 111112111112 on his longbow fights you...Full Counter still works. So does kick. So does hammer. So does Sigil of Absorption.

  24. If Berserker's are only good for killing noobs, then there are a suspiciously high amount of noobs in WvW... Other than that you are right in the zerg dynamic. It is a fantastic melee pusher, if your zerg is expecting it. Ofc you will cleave down noobs/veterans with your full yolo berserker in a zergfight. Because the enemy wont see everything coming their way and its too easy to hit ppl. This other guy was talking about smallscale Scenarios where you stomp noobs with it and get played with against ppl who know their class and how berserker works. I don't zerg much in WvW though. I mostly roam, and if Berserk is (was?) only good for stomping noobs, then I have encountered a suspiciously large amount of noobs these past few weeks.> @Caedmon.6798 said: 5k less damage on a 20k burst only seems reasonable.Oh wow,now we actually have to switch weapons while bursting instead of hanging on gs only..The horror !!!! @Caedmon.6798 said: 5k less damage on a 20k burst only seems reasonable.Oh wow,now we actually have to switch weapons while bursting instead of hanging on gs only..The horror !!!! have to rely heavily on fast hand again like every single war spec out here, definitely the horror Yeah terrible, completely broken !!!! What do they think i am,some piano player ? @Caedmon.6798 said: 5k less damage on a 20k burst only seems reasonable.Oh wow,now we actually have to switch weapons while bursting instead of hanging on gs only..The horror !!!! Having to switch weapons now ?! What do they think i am,some piano player ? such an immature and illogical response with full of bias.warrior has relied on fast hand since it existed, it was never competitive without it and thanks to this, war's play style has always being the same.for the first time, war is actually good without fast hand and has a new playstyle and can actually compete going in plat 3 soloq. yet you talk like warrior has not been playing with fast hand for years already and already has tons of spec that fills your need of switching weapon.farther more, berserker did not even make it to meta, meta still requires you to swap.two point above completely destroy your badly though-after sarcasm additional :if you talking about wvw berserker build, yes, yes it has fast hand and requires weapon swap for maximum damage output It was sarcasm dude. I was already switching weaps... The ones complaining about this nerf prob want to oneshot people only while just hanging on gs , and now they just do 5k less damage on a 20k hit and maybe have to switch weaps for double bursting instead of hanging on gs.I dont know what youre trying to explain to me for making a simple sarcastic joke but whatever. Besides i made a reply on someone saying its not worth using anymore after the 25% dmg los,if youve read carefully you could have seen my sarcastic joke was meant that its definetely not the case and berserk is still doing fine. Its also completely new to me that warrior has been relying on fast hands since launch...Wow what an eye opener ! No need to switch weapons. Use WWA afterwards. Its just a silly thing to say, 25% nerf and its "Omg class broken, completely uselesss !!!". Its just a load of bull, you can get the damage back in several ways anyways. Besides doing 25% less on a 20 or 30k burst..Come onnn. Not sure if you are replying to me or meant for somebody else, but I agree with you that the burst is still high and can still be built to instadown other players.
