So we got 1 extra equipment slot for free since before both wvw and pve used the same one now we got 2.Since spvp dont use the equipment slots per say, instead amulet and rune + your blank weapons there was no need for a third equipment slot. if you look at my past posts I have said they need to do a heck of a lot more but we know NCSOFT west won't do anything.

I agree with Liston you need to show stats in tool tips otherwise its less than useful

Just do the right thing and give 3 build and 3 equipment for each toon it makes 0 sense not to.... unless that is you want to manipulate the situation so that out of frustration people buy at least 1 equipment slot per toon. I know you won't but it doesn't hurt to ask and at the end of the day I am still never going to spend another dime of my money on this game. You have just started reaching way to deeply into people's pockets.

Yeah I'll be playing other games too cuz of this system. I just wish I haven't bought character slots with real money 1 month before this system got implemented, now I feel like its wasted money. Anyway, I hope more people got discourage from playing the game with this system so the company sees that they need the urge to change it to a better one. You will only see me connecting 1 sec to the game when new LS5 chapters arrives and ONLY because I dont want to spare a diem in order to have them later.·New LS chapter->logging->getting chapter unlocked->unlogging->dust->REPEAT. Well having 2 of each class and 1 extra key runner so 19 I dont see those slots as wasted since it means I can have 2+2 equipment and 3+3 trait builds per class.Without having to pay a penny into this system.they need to have one equipment for each build because with the majority of builds you use different stats

well guys its official and I called it. Nothing is getting done because to much has to be programmed. the response that was given was we see these things need to be changed but we don't have any time to do it but we will keep you updated and one day it may get done. oh and no we are not changing the Gem structure because even though it doesn't work right we still need the revenue here is my feedback Please rollback and remove the build templates until they can be implemented properly. since you can't fix them in any reasonable time and we are looking at after the new year for an update please just give us back what we had.

Or, they could... like another game (ESO) does/did. They'd inform the player base of what their ideas are, what they're working on, etc etc, and build up excitement and expectation. Only for them to go back, change or completely discard their ideas time and time again. No thank you, I'd rather Anet say what they've already said to us on this topic, and then refrain from any ambiguous statements until they have something concrete. Anet's communication policy isn't perfect, but it could be a lot worse. In this case any perceived communication problem is just as much due to the player-base being far too impatient. You know what is said about instant gratification: It's never quick enough. It's only been two weeks since Stephane's comment, once again; these things take time. Players need to learn a little patience. by the same token some things don't require much time to make decisions on for example if they were considering pricing changes they could communicate that, but realistically they will not roll back what they have done and they will not spend 10k in additional developer time to make changes so they could also communicate the fact that there are limitations on what they can do. I know for a fact that everything that is being asked for will take hundreds of man hours to do and Anet won't spend that so they will leave this thread to allow people to get their frustrations out. Personally I have made a decision to not buy gems again. and I am not playing this game again until there is some sort of resolution that fixes the issues because at this point I am just tired. so as this is a feedback thread here you go 1 rollback the changes2 make them account wide3 link build and equipment4 include a save button so they are actually templates5 remove build storage as it is unnecessary

From reading the provided information I am really happy to see some new content that is complex and adds to game play. Thanks to all the developers that have worked on it. really looking forward to playing out this.

What more, really, can be said at this point? People continue to complain about the same thing. The feedback has been given; there is no longer a reason to keep the thread stickied. I get what you are trying to say but these are people not complaining but asking for answers and communication as well as continued suggestions and doing thier best to keep this thread alive. please offer constructive feedback for the topic or please stop complaining about people. I would suggest that we discuss the limitations of what can and cannot be done in the near future 1 make the slots account wide2 make a save button so they are templates and not loadouts3 get rid of build storage as there is no need for it4 link build and equipment and once linked offer a reasonable price in the gemshop5 please communicate with us.

it would also be nice if we could get some actual information as to what is possible with the limits of the programming in the short term. My personal suggestion is to have a bit of transparency discuss limitations and what Anet is willing to compromise on oh and I love the fact that this is no longer an announcement and does not go back to the top of the stack. very telling

the only time Anet will get onto AFK anything is if it interferes with a specific portion like the Engineer turret farm at the leather farm in lake doric

here is the issue as I see it I am willing to bet that the because of the nature of the code linking build and equipment would require a roll back and complete rework Also the build storage are the only true templates and they are just for skills the rest are loadouts and the ability to save would make build storage not needed the basic changes that people are asking for would take months to do, if not a year so the only real option would be a rollback to pre-template which means gemstore purchases would have to be refunded and that isn't going to happen. So if it were, and I was in business for a long time I would do the following. let the feedback drag out as long as possible until most people give updecide which solution would be the easiest and that will most likely be a minor reduction in price and a give away of a few templates.Code wise there is no way for them to make the changes we want, so I have resigned myself to accepting that this is the system they gave us and not expect any significant change. This has made me evaluate what I am willing to contribute to supporting this game and I decided personally I will never again buy a single Gem or convert gold to Gems.

This should end the discussion. back when there was karma farming on bitterfrost frontier I was farming and missed a message from an Anet staff. Though I was there, granted I was reading up on doing a legendary I got a 3 day temp ban. I put in a ticket less than 5 minutes after I was logged out and soft banned they did not care so here is the rule. If you are whispered by an anet employee and you don't respond in a period of time you are then Soft Banned and the bans start at 3 days and depending on past history it can go up to a month. oh and I was farming on a reaper with greatsword 4 on auto attack. If you have whispers turned off or not looking at that screen every 5 minutes you will get banned Now that being said it was more than a year ago and frankly with the budget cutbacks and staff cutbacks I don't think they have the staff enough to really go through and enforce it.

Existing races like what? Most of the races I seen suggested so far at redskins of current races. Is that really what people want? A bird headed Charr? A Bear Headed Norn?Lay it out for me Tengu, Kodan off the top of my head

would rather play one of the existing races rather than trying to introduce a new one and try to work it into Lore

they needed to monetize it and the best way was to break it up into 3 different revenue streams. All they were interested in was sales. Its kind of what they do when they have a black lion key sale. normally keys are 2k gems for 25 but when they have a sale they put the regular price up to 3150gems so it seems like you are getting a deal

mark my words it will be put off and not released on the 19th the cause will be the instability of the servers after the templates patch but I believe they are rushing the date so people forget about how utterly badly the templates are and how over priced. I expect the new date to be around christmas

you know the other issue I have is the fact that you are all set to sell another 4 build slots as soon as it suits you and even when found out there is complete silence. Just another tactic for another money grab down the line when people get frustrated enough to buy.

Though I appreciate that you have given us this limited response I have a couple of issues. You are in the marketing department and the whole purpose of the marketing department is to sell things and sell them at a price point that is acceptable to the general public and provides enough revenue to justify the time invested in bringing the content. So you are really not on our side you are on the side of the bottom line and your department has really screwed the pooch on this decision making process. Hardcore players are just going to use third party notepad apps and websites that you can copy and paste in shared builds they provide enough notes space to give weapons, armor, and upgrades for the equipment portion of the build so there is no longer any need for your equipment tab, build tabs, and build storage slots in any way shape or form. As personal notepads are not against your rules that you have set for sharing they are perfectly permissible. As a community its our obligation to disseminate information that can benefit that community and that has the best value and functionality. I actually want to thank Anet for being so greedy that they gave people the motivation to have 3rd party solutions to your greed in less than 3 days. I think you may have actually done us all a favor.
