Hey anet remember when you proudly announced in 2021? https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/arenanet-studio-update-july-2021/ Anyway, I'm not that much of a wvw gamer so it doesn't matter to me I'd rather see resources put into instanced pve but hey at least it's good we're getting another beta now. Hopefully it will have some good results.

  3. I think you shouldn't be so fast on calling it bad. Death magic on harbinger is getting promising results on golem: (numbers from syncesta on sc discord) Again, death magic is now +300 power and +300 condition damage plus the bonus poison damage.

As others already have said, core necro doesn't really do much damage so it's not like it's a competitive pick for end-game PvE anyway, but I would personally really like it if most core builds at least had some viable uses. And yeah, I can see why the title of the post makes it seem that I just straight up want the defense to be removed from the defensive traitline (I just changed it). That is certainly not the case, I simply want them to substitute the toughness with something that makes the build playable in endgame PvE, because I enjoy core necro (I even brought it to harvest temple cm for the memes, where it performed exactly like you'd expect it to lol. But If played well you can make condition core necro work decently in some places as shown here where I tried it in Sunqua Peak CM)
  5. That was just a quick suggestion, I think most things in core necro shroud needs buffs to make shroud worth using. I agree that you shouldn't only buff the auto. You would want to use Death Magic in Raids because Death Magic is the highest DPS option for a third Specialization. Spite is indeed used, but that is if you play Power Core Necromancer. I did a benchmark for power core necro for the previous patch here. About 25k dps. Condition Core Necromancer, however did around 28k dps in the previous patch and I am currently testing its damage potential after the Deadly Strength and Shroud 4 buffs, but it's looking like it's going to be around 30k (edit: after some testing it seems to be 32.5k ish even!). The +300 extra condition damage via the Deadly Strength trait makes it without a doubt the best option for Condition Core Necromancer over Spite and Blood Magic. Obviously you wouldn't want to pick another trait that is like 2k less dps. So yes, death magic is a defensive traitline but because it is by far the highest damage option you have available it is troublesome that you can not play it on toughness-based encounters due to the toughness from Carpace. From the limited testing I've just done, it appears that even the buffed Shroud 4 is a dps loss because the duration of the Bleed stacks you apply is so short that you would gain more dps by simply replacing it with Scepter autoattacks instead. Hence why I already said it can be replaced by Damage Reduction, or preferably Armor instead which has the exact same effect but without bosses taking aggro on you. Did you not read what I said?
  6. With the upcoming patch later today, ANet is finally giving Core Necromancer some love with Bleed on Shroud 4 and Condition Damage on the Deadly Strength trait. I'm generally against powercreep, but since core builds are not a thing (and I would personally like them to be at least situationally), this is a step in the right direction, but they are also doing two massive oversights. First it's about Shroud which I've already talked about a lot but I'll mention it again briefly: For Power Core Necromancer, using Shroud skills is a dps loss because Greatsword is much stronger. You need to massively buff the strike damage of the autoattack. More importantly, if you're going to have Condition Core Necromancer rely on Deadly Strength to boost its damage, you need to get rid of the toughness from Carpace. Having 1600 toughness from carpace stacks makes it completely unusable in most raids since they are tanked by toughness. I don't remember why anet changed the way carpace works but previously it used to give you damage reduction instead of toughness. Either go back to that or give the player direct armor instead of toughness like the Reinforced Armor buff.
  7. ANet please give us good looking kneesocks and skirts so I can fulfill my weeb desires. The only decent looking set is the Queensdale Academy Outfit, but that's an outfit and I'd like individual pieces.

I think ANet should change the color of the green on the health bar of Necromancers in Shroud to a different green so that it is easier to distinguish between a Necromancer in low health or one that is just in shroud. It's just a small thing but kind of confusing sometimes when you are playing a healer. They already gave Specters a very different purple color, surely they could make the necro shroud health bar into something like, dark teal or whatever. Thoughts?

  10. You would be doing this regardless because of the way the combat in this game works. Even with all boon applications being 600 range you are still missing out on unique buffs, combo fields and healing. Making everything massive radius is not going to make things better it'll just make it bad. The reason you don't stack in a tiny spot in some other mmos is cause they focus more on ally targeted buffs rather than aoe.
  11. I do not want a rework. Having a cone is nice. Firebrand mantras actually have a circle already on them AND a cone. But the circle radius is just extremely small (180) and the cone honestly isn't that large either (450). So since herald has 600 radius (which I think is too much tbh, nerf to 550). I would like to see a buff to the range of the quickness mantra, so buff the cone range to 500 and buff the circle to 200. Would help a lot.
  12. Really like to see the heal Mesmer changes. I said it in chat already, but I am kind of sad that now that anet had the opportunity to buff Core Necro Shroud, they only add some bleeding to help condi builds. I think anet is completely unaware that even on power core necro, death shroud skills are a dps loss because camping greatsword is stronger. They needed to buff core necro shroud way more. The pet changes are nice. I'm annoyed that they still didn't nerf the free boon duration of herald, and idk if the dps herald buff is enough to make it good. I'm worried that the scrapper changes will make scrapper a bit too good in fractals, but we'll see. PS. As others said, please fix Lightning Orb on elementalist, it is completely broken on structure bosses.
  13. Seeing that we're getting Dungeon Rush makes me so happy. BUT. ANet PLEASE for gods sake you have to fix at least a few of the dungeon bugs. When we had the fractal rush event it was such a kitten show because you didn't fix the fractal bugs yet. In fact, you still haven't fixed all the bugs on 100 that you said you were fixing. Also, please give us the rush boxes back. This years fractal rush was awful because there was no reward, you only got some stupid relics that I already have too many of, and some wizard vault currency that I don't care about. Why did you have to remove the boxes? Grinding fractals for those rare infusions is what motivated me to do it. VERY few people do dungeons regularly nowadays, you think 100 wizard vault currency is gonna make people flock outside dungeons for a week? Pfft. If you're going to do a dungeon rush at least give us worthwhile UNIQUE rewards, otherwise you might as well not do it at all.
  14. idk about new skills but when is anet going to buff core necro shroud? You're literally losing dmg by using it since core necro got access to greatsword. Anet, come on pls.
  15. Yep 100% this. Why should I care about the new fractal rush when the bonus boxes aren't back? That's the main reason I enjoyed the event cause finally I could grind rare loot in the content I like to play. Some extra pristine relics are useless to me and probably doesn't excite most other people either.
  16. "Some overperforming builds" Almost every build is overperforming, why is 45k dps the new normal? What happened to the idea of an mmo where old content stays relevant? How are players supposed to feel like bosses are relevant when they die in a couple of seconds due to powercreep? anyway, Scourge, Specter and Herald are very dominant atm so I hope to see adjustments to these at least. Well honestly virtuoso too, it has been busted for a long time.
  17. Bump. Same here, I've been having 150 normally (eu player playing on NA server) but since SOTO release I've been having 400-1200 ping and it's completely unplayable. wtf?
  18. The latest trailer clearly shows how most areas in the new expansion are just a bunch of copypaste. We've already seen from previously released videos that the mobs are also copypaste. What an embarrassment. This is the first time I'm actually considering to not buy the new gw2 content. I'm going to wait until it comes out and only buy if I see that it has good content.
  19. Sounds like dragon response missions.. eek Fighting cool demonic creatures would be cool if you took the portal and got to a scary dark fantasy world (realm of torment please anet wink wink) ...but just summoning them on already existing maps.. yeah no. This is not hype.

There's still more things to be fixed (such as fixing the inconsistency between the island platform heights which can make it really frustrating to get to your add), but this is a good start I guess. Also unpopular opinion, but I don't think the boss health is too high. The issue isn't his hp, the issue is that he keeps doing the same attacks over and over and the fight never changes, which makes the encounter really tedious and repetitive. If he started doing completely different mechanics from say, 66% - 33%, the fight would suddenly feel much faster.
  21. I feel like a big complaint people had with Druid was that you had to spam kitten in celestial avatar to keep up boons when they prefer to use those skills reactively to heal people. It goes against what you were saying at the start about moving away from spamming important skills off cd. What's the point of having strong heal skills if you need to waste it for boons
  22. This is actually a good idea and now that you say it, this is definitely how they should have implemented it instead if they absolutely must give alac to scrouge.
  23. idk man, I'm not a big fan of the scourge reworks. Why do you feel like every class needs to have access to every boon? I don't think we need this, let classes be unique. A Necromancer raises the dead, it has the power to resurrect. Now scourge is getting parts of its identity and gameplay style taken away from it just because you want to give it alacrity. I don't like the nerfs to mirage's damage and the confusion change in PvE, really not digging it. Most other changes seem fine and I think the scrapper quickness with combos sounds more interesting but it could potentially get the same problem where you need to fill your bar with combo fields/finishers, but maybe it'll be fine. I'm slightly concerned that the changes to druid and specifically heal firebrand will make them a bit too strong. We've been getting a lot of power creep lately. I do think the druid changes are good and will make the class more enjoyable, just a bit worried that it will completely overshadow other supports.
  24. I am not talking about on-boss numbers when I say 40k dps, I refer to the benchmarks. Thought that was kind of obvious. The point I'm making here is that damage is increasing significantly each year. Not just because of dps specs but just cause of supports being packed with a billion boons. But higher bench numbers do of course translate into higher numbers on boss as well. I don't know what is the best approach here, nerfing classes or buffing content. Probably buffing older content is a better approach but that is way too much work for them to ever do, especially if you consider all the story and open world stuff as well. It doesn't really matter to me how they would do it I just wish the powercreep is addressed somehow.
