  1. I'm also still having this problem. This achievement has been uncompleteable for several years now because of this. Would it kill Anet to add an extra rift somewhere for some wiggle room on this achieve?
  2. Hi, Anet! It's been several years now, and this content is STILL broken. I've tried searching the forums for a solution, I've tried bug reports, but nothing seems to actually get through. I can only assume that the problem's been completely given up on at this point. And it's really frustrating.
  3. I'm having dawn/dusk woes as well - the window is way too short to make any good use out of, especially with day/night fish being thrown into the drop pool as well. I just want to finish "A Strange Diet", is that so much to ask? EDIT: So complaining worked and I got the fish I needed, but it doesn't change that the drop rate for dawn/dusk fish are pretty bad.
  4. Yet another organized run that crashed and burned at 20% due to the "fixed" Tail and Bite mechanics coming up constantly and at inopportune times. Remove the RNG. Have the bites and tails only come up at fixed percentages if you absolutely must keep them in, Anet. This map is going to be a ghost town on the 15th otherwise.
  5. The "reduced by 50%" tail popped up every couple of minutes, as usual, in my latest attempt, and was paired with dozens of the bite swoops that were supposedly "fixed" too. Take the RNG out of the fight altogether, please. Give Soo-Won a set attack pattern instead of complete chaos, or put more time on the clock if you refuse to adjust her patterns "for the challenge".
  6. Had yet another 10% run where tail RNG ruined the whole thing in the last thirty seconds of the fight, despite our group doing everything else perfectly and the supposed fix to Soo-Won's bite spam. ANet, please adjust your meta in a more meaningful way than tiny little nudges that don't actually address its problems.
  7. The Dragon's End meta is definitely overtuned, even after these "fixes". The closest I've gotten is 10%, and that was with a coordinated group making calls, placing markers, and skipping wisp phase (before it got fixed). This also doesn't change that pre-event phase is still unnecessarily long, especially for an encounter that's basically doomed to fail if your whole squad isn't at top-tier raid levels. It just isn't worth it to try at this point, praying for that one golden run where everything is perfect. Please fix this meta so that people can actually get their turtles. Rollover escort timers from fast clears or just add a few minutes to the clock, nerf the scaling, anything to make this actually accessible to the average open world player.
  8. I'm also having the same issue at the same rift, still. Tried it last night to see if the myriad of patches and fixes jostled something so I could complete it, but no dice.

  10. I'm having this issue as well. Now that it's worth working on underwater Legendaries to gear people up quickly and never worry about it again, I'm trying to finish this collection... I hope it gets fixed.
  11. I'm having a similar issue with Tarnished Coasts rifts. Still no response re: an actual fix.
  12. I've been stuck at 11/12 rifts for Tarnished Coast for nearly a year. I have reported this bug in-game multiple times, but ArenaNet remains indifferent. I've seen it reported multiple times on these very forums and beyond, and the supposed patch for this achievement last February doesn't appear to have actually done anything. Before everyone floods in here with the usual attempts to get around this bug: "Make sure you're trying to close the right one using your API on the wiki!""Try different map IPs!""Just do all of them over and over again until the achievement works!""Make sure you're waiting at the front of the rift to make sure the counter comes up!""Try your other characters!"Yes, I know, I have been doing all of these things for some time now, and none of them work. "There's a rift out in Caledon that counts twice!"No, it does not, at least not any more, because I've tried both of them multiple times and the achievement doesn't budge. An actual fix, or some new insight/supposed tricks that aren't listed here, would be appreciated.
  13. I'm glad this is being looked into - I've fed him everything else but the Unstable Cosmic Essence, and I was worried that I would just be stuck with an unobtainable cat forever!
  14. Hey there, sorry to necro a thread, but I'm still having these issues as well in Tarnished Coast. Supposedly I'm missing a rift in Metrica Province, but even if I make sure I have the buff for clearing it, it won't pop the achievement. I've tried going to other rifts in the Tarnished Coast region to see if it's a missed line of code that's pointing me at the wrong rift, or something, but to no avail. I'd rather not have to circle the whole world working for a single rift, so if this could get actually fixed it'd be appreciated...
  15. While the 'no duplicates' thing lessens the sting a little bit, this is still garbage. I'm not gonna pay out the nose for the off-chance of getting a skin I want. Allow us to at least CHOOSE which mount we're getting and randomize the skin from that, rather than leave it completely up in the air. >_>
