jokke.6239
I have a lot of tearing, so want to enable V-Sync. When I do the framerate drops to 30. My TV/Monitor is 60 hz. It's set to 60 hz in windows settings. I don't remember having this problem before. Graphics card is a GTX 1050 if that matters.a
Darkstrenjer.5130
Just turn it off until everything is stable 😃

Or set Guild Wars 2 to windowed fullscreen to use the Windows settings. Your hardware may not be able to reach 60FPS. Try lowering your detail settings to see if this can help. There are many guides on optimizing Guild Wars 2 for better performance. If you have an nVidia card, you can select adaptive VSync. This will turn off VSync when your FPS is lower than your monitor's refresh rate and enable it when it is higher. This can be a good "middle of the road" solution between tearing and stuttering. (Tearing is mostly visible at higher FPS)
Darketh.2304
Have you made sure that your refresh rate is set to 60Hz in the Nvidia Control Panel?
Sahne.6950
sometimes you can change settings on the monitor itself! for example i can alter mine between 50 and 75hz.... maybe yours is turned to 30!?
TheQuickFox.3826
Also, just make sure frame rate limiter is not set to 30 in GW2.
