Hello,

new steam player here and i just want to know if thief p/p its viable right now only for openworld (with the right build)... you know, just some relax gameplay and spam 3 sometimes. ofc for the other content do it with other build's 

 

already have the expansions

For general gameplay and meta events yes don't worry, it's perfectly viable for those activities.

But:

unless your opponent has projectile reflection or you want to do break bar damage "spamming 3" should be your default approach and not just something you do "sometimes".

You'll do fine. Eventually you'll want to switch to Daredevil or Deadeye because they both offer useful power-ups to the Pistol/Pistol playstyle.

Basically you're playing thief in easy mode with that. Absolutely (ab)usable, but keep in mind there's a lot more action, depth and fun to be had as a thief. Provided you use other weapon setup that is :3

Nearly anything can work while wandering the overworld, so long as you aren't trying to solo champions.  Even then, most things work.  A bit to note, consider also running a sword in your offhand, for cleaving down multiple enemies at once.  

When you get later into the game and unlock elite specializations, the Deadeye is the one you'd want to go with.  It has traits that give a ton of boons while also giving a bunch of initiative back.  With Deadeye, I was able to solo some legendary wyverns using Dual Pistol gameplay.

He most likely meant "main hand for your second weapon set".
