Natural Healing

It’s not the worst healing skill in the game. It’s individual numbers are strong despite the tradeoff. The problem is that it occupies the same niche as mending and To The Limit while being worse than both. Basically all Warrior heals are the exact same thing.

The best way to fix it, imo, is to differentiate it mechanically. The best way to do that, imo, is to make it a multi-stage heal, kind of like troll ungent. Keep the same numbers, switch the self-boon rip to area boon rip.

For specifics (using competitive numbers):

5 pulses

1500 health per pulse (total of 7500 health, down from the 8500 it currently has)

cleanse 1 condition from yourself per pulse

strip 1 boon from nearby foes per pulse

This also lowers the effective cooldown to 20 seconds instead of 25.

This would give Natural Healing its own unique niche that is currently unoccupied on Warrior, and one that could work very well with Warrior by giving it strong healing over a window so it can cover over-extending, plus added boon rip which the game needs.

Those are my thoughts on natural healing.

I think it'd be fine if it was just a flat heal (but stronger than now) without any time-delay or additional effects.

Seeing how Arenanet is trying to get rid of boon rips, it's really sad that this one persists.

They could also make it percentage-dependant, without Healing Power scaling: Above 25% remaining health, it heals for 30% of maximum health. Below 25% remaining health it heals for 50% of maximum health. And finally, below 10%, it heals for 70% maximum Health. They could even add different cooldowns for each percentage of healing.

spellbreaker needs a new theme, they clearly don't want us stripping them boons.

At this point, they should just fully rework it into a boon specialization and call it Spellblade or Boonblade.

All fair ideas. There’s a lot of ways to differentiate it from what Warrior already has.

It’s too bad they seem to be scaling down boon rip though. There’s so many cool ways to build interactions off of it, especially on spell.

Haha it's like why would you use natural healing when u can just use mending

When hps is only 15 hp different.

It was already trash when warrior barely generate any boons, now warrior actually finally gets protection, resistance and resolution etc, it's even more trash

There's no uniqueness among warrior skills that's the real problem.

Since we nerf strips but you want to "compensate" them in other skills like OH Dagger, why not make Natural healing a blast finisher healing skill which procs 1 boon steal per foe at a radius around the warrior.

Like the Arcane heal for ele but the proc will be unevadable and unblindable while dealing no damage.

since they've been gutting boon strip, what if they reworked it so that natural healing gave you all the boons instead. 😏

Except that it violate the entire lore and point of the Sunspears and Path of Fire. Spellbreakers were created to counter and dispel magic, not to dish it out themselves. They would basically have to redo PoF from scratch. Yeah, no. Spellbreaker would be best left out to rot than try to "rework" it to some kind of boon-spamming tomfoolery.

Do remember, that Spellbreaker's description hasn't been true since the release of season 4's first episode.

"Palawa Joko defeated the Sunspears and their symbol, and everyone found wielding a spear would be put to death.

The remaining Sunspears broke their spears and reforged their spearheads into daggers."

Both of these statements have been turned into lies with the very first episode. We encounter both actual Sunspears that aren't Spellbreakers and living Paragons in the Domain of Istan.

Since its lore has already been tossed out, changing Spellbreaker from removing boons to providing boons wouldn't do much (if any) further damage to its identity.
