What internet speed do you have? Does it lag in PvE too? How old is your computer, how much RAM, what graphics card, perhaps too high graphic settings in Guild Wars? 

Some lags are apparently "normal", like near keeps.

Recent Nvidia geforce update made my fps go from 130+ fps to barely 30 lol. Had to tinker around with the geforce software and got the fps back to 90ish. The update messed up how much power and something about graphic sharpness games would get. Frustrating as its still no where 130 fps but weirdly enough ping is super low, so who knows what happened

I'm not sure what op's settings are but things that help performance in wvw for me were setting player model count and quality to low, shadows to low, reflections terrain and sky only. Turning off teamates spell effects also help greatly. Lastly make sure LoD *limit of detail) box is checked. I'm running a rx 6800xt and i5 12600 cpu and these changes helped a lot. I still see some minor lag in huge blob fights where 3 server blobs are present but other than that is very smooth.
