Just hit 80, Mastery progression locked and stuck on 0

Hi,

I've just recently hit 80 on my first GW 2 character (Reaper Necromancer, love it!) I've done a bit of content after hitting 80 but my mastery bar has filled up for level 0 but it's not going past that or moving onto 1. I've had seveal "mastery point achieved" notifications...I've not finished my personal story yet and the storyline "Torn from the Sky" is still locked, and I can't seem to unlock it.

Do I have to finish my personal storey first? I can't seem to find any way to unlock the first masteries story line.

I 've got HoT but not PoF.

Can you start the prologue?

Hi, no even the Rally to Meguuma is locked. I'm going to persist with the personal story line for now.

Do you have HoT, just PoF, both, or none?

I have Classic GW2 and the HoT expansion. I haven't bought PoF yet.

Did you "activate" the HoT story in your Personal Journal?Nevermind, just re-read your post...Idk, my characters without personal story completed can activate HoT. But it might be because it's your first that you'll need to finish the personal first... Not sure.

Yeah, it sounds like the HoT key hasn't been activated on the account at Anet - they hit 80 but the prologue is locked.

No I can't, it's locked. - ie. has the padlock and the only hint I get to unlock anything is to do the "Torn from the Sky" story part....but I can't because it's locked. :/

And yes, I do have and activated HoT in my account.

I think I'll raise a ticket and see what support says.

Easy way to see if HoT is activated, without going into your account profile, is to see if you’re able to purchase glider skins. But then that’s probably not your issue.

You do not need to complete the Personal Story to start the story for HoT, so you can rule that out entirely

What happens when you try to start the prologue? How does the "My Story" panel look?

Posting a screenshot of your hero panel might help us see what's happening.

After logging in this morning I now have an playable "Rally to Maguuma" storyline. Why it only unlocked today I have nooooo idea! Thanks for all the help.
