Bundle Unlimited Gathering Tool VS specialist ones

Recommended Posts

Hard to say. They are a good bargain at the price, and you should be able to buy glyphs to upgrade them, but right now there is no reliable, inexpensive source of glyphs, and it might be a while before you can do it. Plus, no idea if 'skins' will ever be available outside of paying the big price for a whole new tool.

If you are the patient sort, and don't care too much about skins, I'd say go with the plain ones now, and upgrade them later when it becomes easier to do so.

1800 for three unbreakables is an excellent deal. At 600 each, it's the cheapest that you can get a full set. For now, you can use your one free glyph and acquire more later, and perhaps some skins.

The alternative would be spending closer to 3000 for skins you love, without necessarily getting more convenience.

Personally, after a while, the "coolness" factor wears off for me, so I'm more interested in the speed of gathering and the bonuses in the tools. For me, if I was buying my first set, I'd definitely go with the "unbreakable" set.

I highly recommend never buying the 1800 bundle of infinite gathering tools for one simple reason, they don't provide any glyphs.glyphs such as industry (50% gathering time reduction) and that new one +33% chance for additional gathering strike are incredible strong, but if you want to outplay your own wallet then who am I to stop you from this 'bargain'.

I personally wouldn't buy a tool without a glyph until I had at least three glyphs. Sure they're better value but without bonuses like the Watchwork chance or unbound magic gathering they're just the barest step above orichalcum tools.

On the other hand if you are planning on getting the glyphs in the TP because you'd rather have their bonuses and you don't want the "fancier" skin then yeah buy those, if nothing else you'll save money or gold that you could put towards some TP glyphs.

It depends on what you want from the tools.

If this set was available when I first bought infinite tools it's definitely the one I'd get, because I just wanted the convenience of never running out or having to carry spares or worry about having the right level tools for the area I was in. I don't like most of the animations (and kept asking for ones without special animations) and I'm not that bothered about getting extra materials that I'd want to pay extra for it, especially now I'm expecting glyphs to drop in price as more become available). As it was I bought the Molten pick, Consortium Sickle and Chop-It-All axe because they were the only ones available at the time, and later got the Watchwork pick because I hated the animation on the Molten one but didn't want to pay for another and that one was the easiest way to get one 'free' (Buy gems with gold, buy pick, sell sprockets to get the gold back - at the time they were quite valuable so it didn't take too long.)

Now I might get the flutes instead because I do like those animations, but I'm not sure.
