Chasing Tales . . . Twice

It looks like you can purchase the vendor item Chasing the tales: (Insert name) for a given weapon again even after it has been purchased once. I accidentally clicked on Chasing Tales: Carver the Carver, purchasing it a second time instead of the next one below it and now have wasted a bit of gold and some map currency. I'm not here to grump and complain, but this seems like they should disappear once they have been purchased to prevent mistakes from happening.

I was wondering if that can happen but didn't want to waste the currency to test. So it is in fact as bad as I thought.

The game already has at least two types of one time purchase items on vendors. Not sure why neither were used for these.

Yes, so you can get any of the ascended weapons as often as you like.

It would be a good idea, though, if they added a window warning you about having purchased the tale before. That way, accidents like that could be prevented.

Yep, can confirm. I didn't realize you didn't need to purchase it, and did it twice. Once for staff, and once for GS. Sucks to be me.

@Moira Shalaar.5620 you don't even need to purchase it at all*. The option exists solely for the purpose of crafting multiples.

Edit: *And I mean not at all, not even once.

Agreed, the purchase option for unlocking the achievement collections should be one time (the 5 gold + 100 Branded Mass).

Didn't happen to me luckily since I go by 1 weapon at a time per day, but it can absolutely become an issue for people. Given the steep 100 Branded Mass cost, this seems very unfortunate design wise.

I thought the tales were supposed to disappear after purchase and them still being there was an oversight or bug.

Bumping this thread as I've just done the mistake... I don't really about the 5 gold but the 100 Branded Masses hurt a bit x)

Could we make the item removed once bought? Or add a red "You already unlocked that content" like the Krait Scale?

The other project teams will get right on it.
