Copper-Fed Salvage-o-Matic "Trick"

I just found out after playing this game for so long that you can Right Click the Copper-Fed Salvage-o-Matic and salvage all items of a kind with just 2 clicks.Maybe some of you new guys will find this useful. :)Screenshot: https://ibb.co/m62arv

Yes, ANet finally added this feature after hearing our requests. It's been there for a while now and was announced in the patch notes.

It was a changed loved by all! However, the copper fed has nothing to do with it. All the salvage kits can salvage all up to it's amount of uses.

I'm just sitting here wondering how did this change pass under my radar. But hey, thanks!

Now I only want a pop-up when salvaging stacked items: "How many do you want to salvage?"

This works for all salvage kits - not just the copper fed.

It's a really useful feature. :)

Well you can just alt left click drag to split stack, then keep the ones you want to keep in bank and salvage all the others.

You can do this with any kit, actually.

I have the copper-fed kit in a shared inventory slot, but when I get kits from leveling, bandit loot bags or story, I usually put them in place of the copper-fed kit in the shared inventory slot until they run out, and use it just like I'd use the copper-fed kit.

Some people trash those kits but hey, a copper saved is a copper earned.

I could not live without this feature. I always Salvage Green and Below, then manually sort out my yellows and golds. As they generally go to the magic blender

I already knew, but it was a jaw-dropper when I discovered it and thought of all that wasted time clicking. Good job pointing it out!Here's another worth knowing if anyone missed it: click on the gear at the upper right of your inventory window, and you can have all your materials stored away at once.Between the two of those, managing a full backpack takes only a second or two.

It was a nice change and something I use every day. Tarir or Dragons stand metas give so much gear that mass salvaging saves a ton of time.

I wonder how many people don't know about the "Consume All"-option for Essences of Luck and stuff like this :astonished: :smiley:

If you are a new player and missed the patch notes there is a chance you might not know about these hidden quality of life changes. It would be nice to have a list for this pinned on the forums.

It's nice to see people being kind about such a revelation instead of mocking the original poster about how long the feature has been around. Yay for the GW2 community. :)

I meant that for stacks that ask you for confirmation, like LW3 currencies that can be salvaged for UM

I guess I don't right-click enough, only to unlock skins... I should start right-clicking everything first to see what shows up in the context menus!

Agreed.

I know of other game forums where this topic would already be 3 pages long and 3/4 of it would be people mocking the OP for not already knowing this, because of course they have memorised all the patch notes and know everything about everything in the game. ;)

I know arguments, rude people etc. do happen here but overall I feel like this is definitely one of the better game communities I've encountered.

I came into game when it was already implemented - it was a helpful hand of God at Auric Basin meta event -, but I'm still waiting for the bag-opening option so if I farm some hours at Harathi on Doric Lake, I won't need to spend minuted to click on them to get my hides :star: :mrgreen:

Yes, but not all consumables have that option. Booze, is one of the items. The Wintersday booze items can consume all but others are still double click. A real pain in the neck when working on achievements lol.

A lot of the chests and such in the game now have a preview option if you right click them, as well. ;)Most notable (and fanciest) is the Black Lion Chest.
