  1. I read "underwear specialization". Either I'm really tired and can't see things properly, or my subconscious was trying to send me a message.
  2. For me, this reveal or whatever we call it that the CEO did, already killed half of my enthusiams. Why would any sane person continue investing in Guild Wars 2 when we now know it's going to be axed? We can't even say "yeah we have henchmen and we can play with them" or "there are still some players around so we can still do stuff" like it was with Guild Wars 1. Guild Wars 2 group events are heavily focused on having a lot of players and most players that would try to stick with GW2 (assuming they'll keep it online like they did with GW1) won't be able to do most of the big events like metas anymore. I'm not a doomer and I kind of tried to believe in ArenaNet up to this point (even after the catastrophe that was Icebrood Saga), but this makes me question a lot of things. Should I still play? Is the content we're getting "real" content or we're being played for fools just to keep funding the next game, which some of us won't even play? Makes me very uncertain and demotivated about the state of the game.
  3. And there it is, the weekly "Guild Wars 2 is bad and should change for me" ranting post. At least this time the rant is a bit better organized. And this time it's about...not being able to do things 100% solo in an MMO? The rants on this forum never cease to amaze me.
  4. I have a gaming PC, but I also have a laptop I bought in 2020 for 350 euros or so, which can play GW2 just fine. That's cheaper than any PS5 model. Surely if you had the resources to buy a PS5, you can save up for a laptop or cheap PC, no? A decent PC is not too expensive, it gets expensive only if you want to have the best graphics and play the latest games, there are plenty of good games out there which can be played on a cheaper PC, so I'd recommend buying one.
  5. Here we go again...when I see threads like these, I wonder why the people are even playing the game if all they have are complaints. What's next? "Arenanet please give me level 80 full legendary gear with max level masteries and all mounts as soon as I log in" ? These "requests" are getting more ridiculous by the day. "I don't want to play the game, so I want you to change the game for me".
  6. I hope this thread is just someone trolling. Really now? We're at the point where people get offended for sound effects? It seems that from now on I should log in the game and just look at the screen without moving my character, or I might offend someone.
  7. I can also confirm this, I was trying the pistols today and noticed that something was wrong with Jurisdiction, I was holding charge to the max and there is no detonated option for level 3 and also sometimes the skill just seems to miss targets when using it.
  8. This not WoW, not everything should be like WoW.
  9. Oh look, another Guild Wars 3 post from someone who thinks graphics in games is everything. I'll never understand people who think the value of a game is in how it looks and nothing else. As someone mentioned above, if they announced a GW3, I'd quit Guild Wars 2 and never touch the game or GW3 ever again. If you think this game is dated, maybe this game (and franchise?) is not for you anymore. At least when I don't like a game or franchise anymore, that's what I do.
  10. I just want to have fun and have my character look cool while doing so. It's not really a self expression/insertion of me. Sure I like my character, but I don't see myself through it. I mostly see characters in all games I play as their own entity and I'm just following their story. I'm not the character itself, I'm someone who is looking at what my character is doing.
  11. It did work years ago without issues though. People could still do all bosses even when it took longer to take down bosses. Ok, maybe not 12 minutes, but It should take as long as it took in the pre-power creep days. For example beating Shatterer and Claw of Jormag in 1-2 minutes without even doing mechanics anymore is super underwhelming. Same for Auric Basin meta, people can burn the octovines in a mere 1 round and in Dragon's Stand can kill Mouth of Mordremoth in the first round, sometimes not even reaching the platform destroying phase. I also heard from other players that Gerent meta in Tangled Depths is super easy now too.
  12. World Bosses and HoT metas bosses need to have their HP buffed. These days they are being killed too fast. They need the same amount of buff that Shadow of Behemoth and Svanir Shaman world bosses received. People are skipping mechanics and most bosses are being killed in 1-2 minutes.
  13. If all the threads you make about this game are only complaints, then why are you still playing this game? No seriously, this is like the 3rd thread you recently made where you only complain about the game. And everytime all I see is "nah I'm right everyone else is bad". People explain things to you and yet you choose to ignore it and find excuses each time. I'm already expecting to see another thread with another complaint with your name on it next week.
  14. Same, never happened to me or anyone I know and I'm playing since release, so dunno...either it's a mode I don't spend much time in (WvW or PvP) or OP is doing something to make people send those mails.
  15. Raiding should never have been implemented in Guild Wars 2. It only increased the amount of elitism in the game and that's why many don't even wanna do it.
  16. Oh, those "poor" rich people and their inability to sell items for gazillions of gold. I feel so sad for them. There shouldn't be items having such high prices to begin with. ArenaNet shouldn't catter to greedy players. Items do not have a tag on them with what they're worth, the greedy players that try to sell them for too much are the real problem. No item should cost more than 1-2k gold. More than that it's just pure greedy.
  17. "Oh no my game runs at 60 FPS instead of 200 FPS, oh the horror". I don't know Jim, this sounds like a first world problem to me. The game runs perfectly fine, maybe you have too much expectation. Happens frequently with some PC gamers who are proud of their PC and think "oh no game bad". Game drops 2 FPS and suddenly they doom the whole game. Sounds familiar, doesn't it?
  18. I think the models look fine when the game is zoomed out, but if you zoom in up until you can see every bit of texture on the character, indeed it shows its age a bit. But to be honest, I don't mind as it is now, as I still consider it to look good. Also I'd rather have it like this than have ArenaNet butcher the character looks and maybe I won't like the way the makeover will be. At most, they should just improve the texture quality on models for those who zoom in on their characters. But other than that, I think it's fine as it is.
  19. No idea what game you're playing, I see players everywhere I go.
  20. To be honest, most complaints I've heard about Guild Wars 2 is from people who came here and expected the game to be another WoW, where you level, get gear, new expansion comes out, you level, get new gear, and so on, and not willing to try to stick around and learn a new game that has the structure out of the norm. A lot of people play these game for the power fantasy, where they constantly get new level and new gear in order to become better than other players, be competitive, etc. Guild Wars 2 does not work like that, so of course people expecting the game to be a race to the highest level and best gear will be disappointed.
  21. So you want the game for free, gotcha. Ignore the fact that many of us paid more than the 125 euros you mention, in order to have all the expansions, since back then they had full price, base game wasn't free and HoT costed as much as base game, which was 60 euros, so 120 euros total, just for these two, then add all the other expansions. Ignore the fact that we didn't buy them at price reduction. Ignore the fact that the game gives you so much content for the said money. Ignore the fact that this game does not require monthly subscription. Ignore, Ignore, Ignore...
  22. If you had a business, would you invest in a certain product or aspect that only 2-3 people touch or buy? I clearly wouldn't. Raids were a mistake because from the start it went against what this game was supposed to be. They clearly didn't have the success Anet thought it would, only a fraction of the playerbase does it and I understand why. Raids in this game are exactly like in any other MMO "have the perfect build, do mechanics perfectly, do X dps or kick". Yeah no thanks, I don't wanna be part of that, that's part of the reason why I don't play other MMOs anymore, too focused on stuff like raiding and people are too elitist. Only some players in Guild Wars 2 want raids, the majority doesn't. And why continue making raids when they won't bring you any profit? I for one am glad that they stopped working on them. At least Strike Missions are accessible to almost everyone.
  23. Happier for 1-2 hours of new content every 3 months? I don't think so. For me this is even worse than End of Dragons to be honest.
  24. Do achievements, world bosses, map completion, masteries, crafting.
  25. Hello, can confirm, same happened to me and the squad I was part of. We cleared it but it's still 0/1 and no rewards.
