  1. This is the first time I'm hearing this. I cannot find anything to back this statement up and can't even think of a reason why this would be the case. Program files is the standard installation folder for 64-bit applications.
  2. But this in the mistlock observatory is fine?
  3. I'm nearing 2.5k hours played and still have only around 10k AP, simply because I've never really bothered doing dailies. It's meaningless.
  4. This has to be the absolute most unpopular GW2 opinion ever. Even people who hate or have grown to hate this game tend to praise the mounts.
  5. This game had a rainbow unicorn shortbow since release.
  6. This has to be one of the most confusing threads on this entire website.
  7. It's also just kind of how MMORPGs work. There's so much information in an MMORPG, it's pretty much impossible to explain everything through tooltips. The genre relies on wikis to provide a big chunk of information, because that's the only practical way to do it.
  8. Looks awesome in screenshots but horribly jarring when you're actually playing. The pop-in is horrific.
  9. I guess that's true if the only reason you play a game is to continuously chase a gear treadmill for the rest of eternity. I on the other hand am more than happy that I can do whatever content I want without ever having to worry about not having the current BiS gear that will already be subpar again after like 6 months. And I also like that my dps is exclusively determined by my build and my personal skill level. I agree that some of the content in Gw2 is too easy and lacks real challenge. But gear progression is the absolute last thing I'd add to fix this.
  10. dx11 removed any kind of stuttering I experienced while moving the camera.
  11. Are... are you trolling? There are many things worth criticizing about Gw2's monetization system, but with the exception of BDO I legitimately cannot think of any major modern MMO that's cheaper to play than Gw2. WoW starts to get more expensive than Gw2 after only 6 months of paying for a subscription.
  12. There's always one thing that I find confusing about these threads. The posters always make it seem like you have to pay the full price of all expansions and LS episodes at once in order to even begin playing this game. But you don't have to buy everything at once? You can unlock the episodes one by one. Even if you were to spend only 1 week on each map (which would be an incredibly short amount of time), doing the story, events and a collections, you'd only have to pay $10 a month (less than most MMO subscriptions). With IBS currently being given away for free, after just 5 months
  13. I highly doubt that older, non tech-savvy people are interested in upgrading to win 11 or buying a PC that doesn't come with windows already pre-installed
