  1. is this armor tech the reason that most medium armor chest pieces are god kitten trench coats? is it the reason why the t2 norn medium armor chest piece has the coat/skirt section attached to it instead to the leg piece?
  2. im hoping more for a legendary aquabreather for lw1. cause its either crafting ascended which is wasting mats on it just to have the right stats, lucking out on a 1 in 1 bazillion rate wintersday only drop from personalized gifts for exotic (yes that's the ONLY exotic aquabreather in the game) or farming dumb snowberries.
  3. okay next time if you see someone scaling a cliff or something with a springer ask them if they have a skysclae in 9 out of 10 people will say no. anyone who scales a wall with sykscale would not do so with a springer anymore.

  5. the beholder is your literal basic animalistic instinct you can not just turn off because you are a human. and the last sentence is EXACTLY why it should not be a Gemstore item what so ever. you get literally an advantage over another mount, several even. COMBINED In fact one might say skyscale is the firebrand of mounts. it does nothing masterfully but it does EVERYTHING. Firebrand heals, has all boons on button press, not the best but top 3 dps condi OR power, even if you lean into either aspect more you STILL provide more then enough utility to the group. And skyscale? does the same. its not the fastest like raptor or beetle but it get around quickly enough as it is not bound to the terrain, it get high enough to latch on a wall and go even higher than springer, it flies and STAYS in the air unlike the griffon which also needs height to even get that fast in flying in the first place. ( heck even riding a griffon itself is a form of ikea effect as mastery of riding it does provide satisfaction). The only thing it can't do is having a co pilot and firing cannons, which will be buffed eventually since it pointless outside suu won meta. and then the turtle is the healscourge of the mounts.

How? well YES that ting should stay in WvW no doubt, but the OP has also a point that there should be two legendary rings avilable from PvE only. so instead of demanding the old leg ring to be obtainable via pve as well....just make a new ring. and better yet make WvW AND PvP versions of the other trinkets as well. OPTIONS, PEOPLE. OPTIONS! With more trinkets anet could also deploy more eye kitten inducing effects that would not work as infusion or other particle effects. But seriously why can't we have BOTH? a no/little effect WvW trinket set, a PvP set as well Next to our already existing PvE trinkets. This could be even extended so far to say that there should be TWO different PvE legendary sets. one through raids and faster and one that takes even longer than WvW. i heard this from a person who recently finished HT CM. but take this last one as a mere bonus suggestion.
  8. i find it funny that complaints like these are NEVER reasonable. they always demand it be removed or skipped. why not ask for more exciting things to do? do things that make you go WOA FIREWORKS SO PREDDY. no you go straight to "let us buy or delete" to be fair tho there is ONE system that can be deleted as it was not made to spark enjoyment but was made to mitigate things for the data management side: research notes.
  9. to add to that even on exiting character races new faces cause problems. two of make over kit exclusive faces for male charr, that look like a big duke hound, have such long snouts they clip through almost ALL helmets. its dreadful with the dreadnought t3 cultural helmet (pun haha) and annoying with so many other helmets that do not out right cut the face away for aesthetic. the ONLY helmets that work fine are snout less ones (boring), t1 and 2 cultrual (which do NOT fit with dread now at all for some reason AND the elusive 900 gold or 1 in 4 gazillion drop chance visage of the khan-ur. yeah this alt of mine has ALOT of options doesn't he /s ?
  10. and you my friend missed that the old rifle didn't had ARR because it had a different threshold. and so did the two major power dps traits i mentioned. there could have never been a synergy as it is now, as it was literally introduced with the patch that changed rifle as well. no scope and and high caliber had a SMALLER threshold and ARR had a BIGGER one. meaning it was impossible to use these traits in tandem, which is why up until this update, no one ever even considered ARR as viable option. anet quiet literally stated in their preview that they would change it to what it is now because of it. I have no idea how you missed this.
  11. because it is literally happening. people rejected and still do reject the nicest of advices, pointing out as friendly and accommodating as possible that that condi build does not work with soliders gear and power traits. people refuse to learn the basics. they have an idea what they want to be but it does not line up with how numbers work and when they told it might not be the best idea they go crazy edit: i even found the perfect example here on the forums
  12. the thing is if you go power build you automatically have two traits (no scope and high caliber)from firearms that give you +40% critchance. in addition thanks to minor traits crit hits cause bleeding(sharpshooter), which increases your critchance by 15% MORE (hermatic focus) and the bleeding is increased by 33% (serrated steel). i also stated that with box standard zerker gear, in this case very cheap nika medium armor with infiltration runes, you are beyond crit cap. and then you only need to step a few inches further away than melee range and you're good to go. range is factor here. due to the range threshold melee weapons with 130 can NOT use the ARR trait effectively with its threshold of 150. if you somehow NOT meet crit cap on engi as a power build that's you purposely putting a handicap on yourself.
  13. to be real tho, i do not get why so many are hung up on "wasting time waiting in lfg". this argument ONLY makes sense if the LFG explicitly says " speed run attempt" and then its also questionable. as even speed running its not about "not spending much time on the game" but merely focusing on that one insular piece of content done quick with the skill of all five/10 squad members. Wanting for a decent/good comp is not about speed, but less hassle to explain, to bump into issues. not for time investment but enjoyment of a smooth run, which CAN be slow, but just...works. So waiting in the lfg for a decent comp is not about speed but less stress, not having to think to much and let skill muscle memory do its thing. THE ZONE so to speak.

  15. its still synergizing with ARR hard tho. not because of the explosion but the rapid fire. the more hits you get off the more likely you can get a crit hit. the more often you get a crit hit the faster the ARR stack rises, the more often you fire an Orbital strike. especially with the reduced range threshold. before it was 450, what is now the threshold of the crit enhancing traits in fire arms. now it's 150. that's easy +40% crit chance you can upkeep with auto. results with a box standard zerker gear to crit cap. meaning all three hits of the rifle are crits. thus any hit after the ICD triggers a rocket and after 4 you get the orbital strike. no other engi weapon can do this this quick. they are melee weapons (range 130) or the pistol(which is main hand condi dps anyway), none of them three hits per button press either so they are compared to the rifle slow on hits. it's a synergy that can physically NOT be used by any other engi weapon. Only flamethrower can and over come rifle, but that's fine as you essentially trade of a utility slot for the kit and kits ARE essential to the engi class

  18. unusable before? i guess if it doesn't to do45K dps is garbage, right? the rifle was usable just not optimal. what it is now is just brainless. 28k on auto untraited going up to 35k with some synergetic traits and exotic zerker gear and regular amount of boons. THE AUTO ATTACK ALONE. come the fluff on. this thing is quiet literally the most broken auto attack in this game right now. not to mention engi didn't need it. several mech builds from cdps and pdps, alac boon support and heal, holosmith, scrapper. all used and just below FB and scourge as the thrid and thus last must have profession in any mode or team comp.
  19. i'd say it better for him to know more skill/trait synergy first. mindlessly learning to press a rotation in order does not necessarily means he knows why this rotation does the damage. rotation comes from that, if he knows why a skill is used in that moment its easier to learn to rotation anyway
  20. not nessecarily. there are people who do the rotation but press one button per second.
