  1. What we indeed need. Is the expansion to have more WvW-esque maps, just like Drizzlewood, maybe even a bit more WvW-esque, with maybe some cooperative-parallel competition but no direct PvP.
  2. That is exactly the point of the Mount. And adding just flying mounts would deny the whole concept of Mounts being special and having their own flavor and movement mechanic. Skyscale is clumsy, yes, it is a Helicopter kind of vertical focused flight. It needs care. And is perfect as it is.You combine it with Griffon, which is a speedier, more horizontal flight focused mount. If you were to make any of the two more "convenient" you would just murder the whole mount system and exploration of the game in one go. Mounts are perfect as they are. And i hope they don't any new one ever.
  3. That would be a very difficult challenge. FFXIV has near endless resources and a massive development team that pumps content extremely fast and pretty nicely done, polished to a fault. Of course that's due to XIV lack of customization, rigid structure, non-changing mechanics, etc. XIV is like a solid polished steel plate. Where GW2 is more like a maleable ceramic piece. They cannot and i hope they don't replicate anything from XIV because it would just crush GW2 under it's weight, and to compete against it would be naive at least. Unless NCsoft suddenly cancels all their other projects and pumps those resources to Anet and contracts another 500 programers, designers, etc. There is no way this is even viable. GW2 engine is flexible, and the game itself is very flexible, that is it's strenght and main selling point. An horizontal very emergent experience. Unlike XIV where everything is linear, vertical and scripted.
  4. I hate the copypasted fronts of each server. It should be 1 diferent map for every front with a flow of "higher ground" for defenders and "lower ground" for attacking servers. I think the desert map is fine, but the eternal battlegrounds. I think the whole of WvW needs a massive remake. But yeah, get rid of those frontline server maps, they ugly.
  5. Thing is. We all consider GW2 one of the great MMORPGs out there. But at this pace FFXIV will release it's expansion before GW2, and they announced it just a few months ago, like 2 or 3. And the playerbase has a very good idea of what is coming, since well, XIV is a game of consistency and very strict schedules. I don't know how bad/low is the resources directed towards the development of GW2, but the lack of content, frecuency of it and lack of consistency in their updates is like a great flaw in order to keep us player actively playing and thus, purchasing/consuming. Since i heard about the new expansion months ago, i would think there would be at least a website already showing more than 4 pieces of concept arts. Like we could have at least some reveals, maybe one new elite per month. Some of the assets being added to the game. Hints about new gameplay mechanics. Though if anything, i think Anet needs to restructure the content delivery to be more streamlined and more consistent. And to salvage several parts of the game that are basically abandoned... How about you finish the Super Adventure box for example... I know it has nothing to do with the expansion, but illustrates my point about the great flaw of their development cycles: Consistency. The lack of it.
  6. No they really can't without massive problems. Besides there is no reason to add any of them to the story as a playable race. Tengu are isolationist that just now are going to open, but their territories are small and their race the same, they just don't have much weight outside SOME commerce and their bolstered defenses. Nothing of import. Largos are basically extinct and completely irrelevant. Literally you have a billion more reasons to add Centaurs, Skritt, Dredge or Kodan above both of them any day. I hope they just don't add any new race, THE FIVE races of Tyria are perfect representation of the relevant powers on the continent. Adding a new playable race would just be a massive and jarring waste of resources. This. Even more, add with time "class racial combat tonics". Maybe limit them to the specific color schemes of the 9 main classes (no elites) and have them like with some very basic sets just for RP purposes. Like "Tengu Necromancer Combat Tonic" and they just make a single Tengu model with necromancy appearance and the black-green colors of a very common set. Maybe the tonic can read what class are you and switch to the skin correspondent to that class.
  7. Maybe cause it truly depends on what you call "win". But honestly, in contrast with F2P games... Yeah, not at all. But then again what is winning even in an MMORPG. Beating other players to what? DPS meters? Exploration? Most alt-classes? Fancy skins which are mostly an eye sore?
  8. If they do housing, i sure expect is nothing like FFXIV. That is live in map server houses that are a FINITE resource. You camp or you lose and that sucks.Housing should be instanced, a good housing system was Wildstar housing. Just make it a nice comfy instance, it might even remodel assets of your already existing housing instance that allows to decor it a bit more, maybe redesign some aspects of it. But make it instanced and personal so everyone has their own. I seriously expect a bit more of underwater exploration and combat. If anything what i want is a more tight and consistent update schedule.
  9. https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/42967/customer-support-update-6-8-2018#latest CS is taking a lot of time processing requests right now, and by a lot, that is weeks. Gotta wait in line.
