  1. Omg I’d love it if they got chaos armor while doing the skills. then a trait that gave toughness while chaos armor up
  2. Why? Isn’t the point of elite specs to play differently from core. as long as they are providing something to replace it
  3. The whole point is to let the Mesmer do everything solo. Not relying on clones or phantasms. you would still have a “phantasm” skill but instead you would perform the action and gain phantasmal armor. phantasmal armor gives the Mesmer a little defense with the loss of clones and phantasms phantasmal armor: gain toughness while performing phantasm skills example: phantasmal defender. Gain phantasmal armor and block incoming attacks. Once block is complete lash out. all traits that would normally effect your phantasm would effect you. then there could be traits like. while having phantasmal armor enemies who attack you gain confusion. in action it would look like u putting up an illusionary shield and gaining a purple outline(phantasmal armor). If you are trained for your phantasms to spawn with quickness you would gain quickness. Then if traited your target would hit you getting confusion. It could be fun.
  4. I love the virtuoso for the cloneless aspect of the specialization. Lets take away the phantasms too! Let the mesmer do the attacks while gaining phantasmal armor. all the traits that would effect phantasm would effect you while gaining a bonus to toughness.. if the skill made two illusions come out the mesmer would use a clone just for the animation. Scrap most of the condi line and make traits for that phantasmal armor +1 if instead of the exact same visuals of the attacks could have a more performer based animation.. to help with the idea of being a "Virtuoso" Staff and Sword i think are fine.. Just add more butterflies. focus- NO AXES! just a twirl that sends out daggers greatsword- twirl aruound with your floating greatsword torch- fire breather kind of visual

  7. Yeah it would be like a natural arcane form then you augment your skills to change how they wold function. see he does the hammer smash twice. When attuned to fire it burns but when attuned to earth its an aoe immob. also just numbers wise iits more work for to make skills for all 5 elements of the hammer for each element that it would to create new skills for each current ele weapon.. or just about the same.. havent done the math.
  8. anyone notice that there are times you are not attuned to anything. Usually the ele has a ring to show what element they are in while attuened but there are times in combat where this character is attuned to nothing at all. I think this could mean we get arcane skills naturally but can agment atleast some skills with our augment skills!
  9. I actually disagree with you as a very casual pveR is doesn’t even work in open world. I feel like they made the spec as a monk originally but got nervous about mainhand focus and then just slapped on offhand sword.
  10. Also I’m gonna say it… it’s not too late to add mainland focus and make this an actual brawler. The mechanics of this class isn’t calling out for duel swords. It literally wants to be a monk. The offhand sword giving more mobility is useless and it’s main attack not only has a silly animations but doesn’t work. give them the ability to punch things
  11. Pretty sure the dev who posted this didn’t say anything about only raiders and pvpers posting their feedback… no she didn’t. Y’all need to get off your high horse… because they’re are way more players like me in this game then raiders and pvpers..
  12. mesmer has a complete skill line called duelist.. and its used in a lot of pve builds... your really think they design whole specs with no intention of people playing them in pve? get it a grip..
  13. guardian and mesmer are my main.. i dont play the same modes as you and pvp/raiders shouldnt be the only people who get to give feedback.. now... go give your feedback and stop trying to make people feel bad for having different opinions than you do..

  15. ofhand sword should be about cc not damage. make skill 5 be a range sword slash that knocks its enemy down. the current skill looks very weird with a scepter f2 should just dash you it shouldn't be an ground targeted skill... the line ground target skill in general do not feel good. more range on the virtue skill in general.. 600 at minimum i like evertyhing else.. Wait.. can we have a trait that makes the staff melee range in this spec. just use that old animation
  16. really like virtuoso! its so nice. make sword skill blade skills. remove confusion from f2 and put a bleed rain of swords and sword of decimation could be a single skill. we need a utility with a dash with 2 charges to make this perfect. the animation are cool but a bit toooo slow. dagger needs the twirl firebrands get on their healing tome skill 2.. actually id also love it on the knock back skill. the knockback skill has too long of a cooldown change the targeting on the elite skill it is too hard to use. if you are going to keep the phantasms add a little flavor to them so they fit in with the spec. namaste!
  17. asking for musical themes in a virtuoso spec really isnt like crazy.. also i'm asking for it. not being an elitist prick talking about how no mesmer main wants this or that like you have ownership of the classs.
  18. You need to stop pushing this narrative. Because you are clearly wrong. This spec is not what you want.. just say that. as a Mesmer main.. I want this spec without clones and I’m happy for the range aspect.
  19. The trait that makes blades bleed should also turn your sword skills into blades. turning the sword into an effective condi weapon.
  20. Clones in my opinion don’t make the Mesmer. It’s the trickster mage play type that does. virtuoso is offering a Mesmer that is still tricky without the clones. Mesmer is begging for a minstrel type class and virtuoso could be just that with the addition of some instrumental illusion and what better place to put them than replace phantasm. it would give the spec an additional mechanic that I think the virtuoso is needing. If the shatters are going to stay the same then the cool mechanic could be replacing phantasms with something interesting could go a long way
  21. I’m really not sure what you are complaining about.. the illusionary instruments will still become daggers after their use.
  22. But to be fair I’d just have us play the flute and the traits that effect phantasm would effect us while holding the illusionary flute.
  23. However here we are with a spec with no clones. Which a lot of Mesmer mains asked for. Btw On top of that the daggers are not attached to a specific target. so having phantasms that are also not attached to a specific target also makes sense. my instruments are still phantasms they just don’t have a target attached For instance: focus- song of protection you summon an illusionary flutest. This phantasms plays a song in the ground targeted area. In that area no enemy can enter, projectiles are blocked.

I’m asking for new ways to play my class Based on your elitist mindset if I’m asking for scourge shades then renegades shouldn’t have spirits Scourge no shades because they are just long term spirit weapons a ground targeted aoe effect placed down one time to do its effects isn’t the same as scourge shades.
