  1. No class needs to be wrecked... They need to be viable and adjusted properly. Calling for scorched earth on a class will eventually come around to your class. This nonsensical thinking has killed this game.
  2. Anet does this a lot and its annoying. Classes dont get adjustments they get blown into oblivion and are rendered unplayable. Im sorry this happened to engi. Its also true that a lot of ignorant feedback truly does come from silver rated players. I say this a lot but - These forums want every profession except their profession to have nothing special or impactful in their kits, while somehow expecting people to stick around to provide them with dopamine for getting killed. The forums cant or will not comprehend that different professions are supposed to have things that outshine others. People argue on this forum from of a place of "My profession dosnt have what this profession has" and is therefore its unfair. Instead of thinking what does my profession have that this one doesn't that I can use to counter. Also failing to realize not every match up is meant to be favorable for all professions. Its wild actually. Anet enables this thinking they way a parent spoils their children.
  3. Ask yourself what we have to loose? Do what we have been doing will only continue to get us the same results. Honestly this sounds so fun. Especially 2v2 or 3v3.

  5. Big Damage should be possible - not from stealth like scrapper does it (Should only be thief - More on that below) Stealth is a rouge mechanic meant for that arch-type. I have never understood what a engineer (fighter) class profession is doing with access to stealth. Also same thing for mezmer. Ive never seen a class have access to stealth outside of the rouge arch type. On Stealth: A few things need to be adjusted. If you appear close to the target a noise and/or indicator should take place (Like the noise WoWs rouge gives off when your being stalked) If you appear in front of the face of your opponent a shadow image should appear to give the opponent time to counter (also like WoWs rouge) Big damage for thief and only thief should be a thing from stealth but if you miss you should be reavealed (Not the weird mechanic we have now) but you should be exposed and open to a counter attack. Forceing the thief to re-stealth and regroup if their opponent misses their opportunity for counter. This is engaging game play each side has a chance to capitalize on the others mistake. Warrior is in a very good spot right now - It should be a Warrior and not easy to fight off. However it can very easily be killed 1v1. Right now a good warrior will fight well and bad ones get clapped. Warrior is in the best place its been in ages. Mez needs its access to stealth removed to allow for counter play its not a thief. Clones and imagery are its mechanic and it needs to be inline with that.

  7. I agree a lot with this. High damage should be available but it should be telegraphed. Ideally, if you miss your counter opportunity, then you suffer for it, if not you survive.

  10. Except I didn't lie. I admit Im wrong though because thats 11K Damage, not even 10K. I've never had LOF hit that hard for me in a match before. I think that 6.5 - 7.5k crits for telegraphed skills like LOF and eviscerate is acceptable and how it should be. Or things like Dragon Trap for DH's. Classes should have a heavy hitter than punish you if they land. 11K in one skill is too much though. But if Anet does there usual nonsense of no middle ground and nukes it into the floor then that doesnt solve anything or help anyone. Where we go is - collectively advocating for a healthy adjustment. Not Destruction.

  12. @RedAvenged.5217 This poster @bethekey.8314 Presented evidence that disproves what I believed to be a fact so I was wrong. He showed 11k for LOF which is higher than what the OP was claiming. So with the new information I am adjusting my point of view. 11K is too high - However I am leary that adjustments from Anet often lead to the absolute destruction of skills - so retuning it to something in the 7.5k area seems right.

No it doesnt. 1.8K Heavy 2.1K Medium 2.4K Light This forum needs to stop making stuff up. 10K leap of faith is not happening at all it can crit pretty hard for 6-7K so can half the skills in this game. Its also highly telegraphed SO EASY to dodge. If your dying to leap of faith this is the prime example of pay attention to your engagements and use your dodges. Case in point. They need to be buffed. Skills like these should punish you hard for not paying attention. Leap of Faith is no different.
  14. I agree, I dont think its the new players fault at all. Yes. Nothing excuses terrible behavior, it is the cause though. Anet butchered their own game.
  15. Agreed. Yeah I think so. This should be done and probably should of been done a long time ago. As someone who prefers team, pug games are not what I look forward to. However the issue you brought up of: This is developer ambivalence. They allow a select few players to ruin the game at large for the majority, and they allow their own game to be turned into a profitable minigame for shut ins. Ill never understand that.
  16. Right on bro. Okay well here goes. I see the validity here. So here's my thoughts then but it requires we agree on hidden MMR which not every1 does. From my side - Solo que is still dependent on what your teammates do and I am subject to loose matches based on people having not a clue of basic rotations or map awareness. As a solo player unless I decay into bronze or something where I can just farm everything I run into I don't hold enough weight to sway the match and there my "individual Rating" really isnt mine. This is my view point. Remove unranked - return Hot Joins for "care free style of play" and give ranked 2v2 and 3v3 as persistent game modes for Team Death Match, and either give 5 man ques two separate ques or make 5 man solo only. If population is the concern 2v2 and 3v3 for premades, and 5v5 for solo remove unraked. This way you have 3 ques and every1 has something they want. I think overtime if this had been done much sooner people would pvp more and the population would increase. Unranked and Ranked are the same thing I have never understood why thats a good thing. We should also try to add Battle Ground style of play too. 10v10 and such.

So from what you shared I have genuine questions for you if you dont mind sharing your thoughts further? How does Soloq in a team game reflect any1s skill? Its a game mode for teams, once youve elimnated teams, the entire system is redundant from where I am sitting. I appreciate that this is true. Hotjoin is amazing for learning, especially when we had a full community. How do you feel about my suggestion here? Ill share my thoughts on this quote further, but want to give you the chance to elaborate yourself.
  18. Duo que is unwanted but not for the reasons of making this game solo que only. 5 Man ques need to return, and solo players should return to hotjoin, and reward systems should be reverted to reward those players.
  19. Yes my Guy. It was. This is complete fact. On launch GW2 pvp was a separate game mode, where gear, skins, rewards, etc were all separate. If you were a pver and u walked through HOTM portal u instantly got put in starter gear and were lvl 1. We even had our own mystic forge. Reward tracks served a huge purpose because the tokens and rewards given helped you craft cosmetic rewards. Unranked, and Ranked having their own rewards for items. This is so true. Hotjoin is something that isnt remembered. I can always tell someone who wasn't around in pvp in its origin because they argue hotjoin, or don't even know what it is. This mode was pivotal in learning the game and was very, very needed. This is also during the era of sPvP only guilds. The first ever Hotjoin sPvP Guild was Champion Slayer. It was created for new players to que up with 4 others, learn skills, rotations, etc. You know why we don't have the tutorial that every1 is always crying for on these forums? Because the players used to provide that to a once beautiful community. Removing 5 man ques deleted the entire purpose of sPvP focused guilds, and therefore removed a lot of the veteran players and culture this game once possessed, that the OP is now experiencing. People truly have no idea the damage removing 5 man ques actually had on this game, it rendered almost all of the original features obsolete that were put in place that once had tremendous purpose. The new devs that took over are just as clueless because they left remnants of the past in this game with out the ending reason for them. Reward tracks used to give tokens to make cosmetic rewards for PvP gear. Its why unranked feels unrewarding, the original purpose of them isnt even relevant anymore and most of the community has no idea. Most of whats left of PvP falls into this contextual example. This destroyed it, that should of been left to custom arenas only.
