Hello, I'm doing some colection/success in Grothmar since few day, I really enjoy this map so far, but came accross an annoying bug.In the Ears or Eyes success, one of them is bug : "I'll never miss a song again" This one is floating instead of be stick to the bench and because of that the detector can't scan it and so I can complete it !Pls fix it :( Screen of the aera with mini-map

This took my attention, i'm a holo main 9k+ hours playtime only on that class alone and I can't solo a HoT HP, lol Don't give up it's just about practice, Holo have enough tool to do it unlike the core spe, take time to look at boss atk and once you know them it will be easier to no wast an important skill and staying alive to kill it ^^Avoid full zerk however, most HP in there will kill you if you're not a minimal tanky (marauder for exemple).

Hello,I feel you, I used to love Chrono and GS, but for open world it's just not good enough.I finaly switched to Mirage after testing way to much chrono build, and I never come back, Mirage is amazing, kill trash and boss fast, ton of evasion, utility and pretty easy to play.The only downside : torment rune are very expensive.But you need them to made the build that effective, however, you won't regret it I promise.It a fast and dynamic playstyle and yet very fogiving if you do error.Here is the build I run on it : http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PiABc+drlRwSYQMEmJWyP6vOA-zRRYcxHHZQjlRXVVmpq3zivTbA-e(you only need 1 axe) If you want to stick on chrono cuz you love it I don't really have solution, it's a good class but for solo open, lot of thing will be unbeatable with it.S/S are good in raid/fractal or some meta where you can stand close with not to many risk, but most of the time for solo open world it's just bad as soon as you try something harder by yourself.The problem with chrono is : the burst and especialy aoe is a fantasm on GS, and against a pack of mob like raptor, if the main target die, then the skill end too which let you with no defense. TLDR : for easy open world content chrono is fine, for harder solo, forget it, majority of other class will do way better.Like I said at start, Mirage is one of the king of open world. But please, don't use staff build. It's can be good for lazy people, but it's just bad. Damage are abysmal compared to axe/torch. Once you get used to axe you'll never come back, it's stupidly strong, I still don't have find any encounter I can't solo with it.

EDIT : Nvm I was just a noob !The 2 sigil I've change help me a lot (leeching+energy) and now than I'm finaly familiar with all the new spell I noticed the 2 evasion, that help me a lot too now than I don't wast them. All test-champ done easily now :)Thx for the build, very funny to play. Last question I guess : Why the weakness trait in weaver instead of hp ?For now I use the hp one since I lack some dire part to reach 20k, but I'm curious about yuor choice :)

There is nothing difficult about any class, it's just about personal feeling.Many people will said warrior is easy, yet I struggle with him in many encounter.Was afraid to play Ele or Engi because of what ppl said about them, well, It took me 1 day to understand and play Ele well enough to solo champ and leggy..Engi is "hard" but not because of his playstyle but because he's really lacking of good spell and have to compensate with kit spam, which get resolved when you get elite spec who are more efficient and fun to play. So, don't be afraid about "difficulty", just read, look video, try them (go lv1, do tuto, tp in PvP, here you'll be 80 with all skill and elite spe, so just try them).Once you find 2-3 you like start leveling and by playing them you'll find what you really love. Every class have build for every content. Some are better in some aspect of the game than other but that all, nothing it's unplayable.So, really, try a bnit and pick what look fun to you :)

I play mostly fresh/air tempest but not the usual, I've made my personal and I've solo every champ you did + more and even some leggy.I recently killed the bandit "the quick" and the leggy who came after ^^I've try condi tempest for a while, it's not bad but find the air one better and more convenient for the rest of the content while condi tempest is only good on boss (lack good aoe, can't reset overload and really need this + signet to get the most dmg), that why I'm curious about condi weaver.My build have less burst/resistance than yours but many recover option and distraction with both elemental glyph pet (earth one are so tanky, even the little, it's easy to end-up with 4-5 pet at the end and can swap the big one for a water to get even more heal). You can change back to Holo when you want with no restriction.If you need more HP and are on EU, hit me up I'll help.Also, Dire are not made for Engi build, they tend to be more power based than condi for open world at least.Condi engi need static fight which rarely happen in open.

1 - Exploration, that the main thing that made me enjoying this game each time I log.I rarely plain anything, just log, hang out on a map, join the meta on it, then sometime I'll find a weird thing/item/place and will go look at it and most of the time find some hiden success, puzzle and so, it's amazing. Once I fall of the sky from the 1st map of HoT (don't remember the name in English) and I've land (well, crash is the most accurate word) near something I didn't now in a place where I've no clue how to acceed outside of crashing, a friend ttryed to join me to rez so we can look at it and it was a tiger nest and end-up to have a full success collection around it hidden in the world !I've ton of exempel of that, it's amazing if you love explore map.Look at Arch lion, I know their was a pirate theme puzzle and was fun to do, and years later I find the whole lion's arch was also a puzzle ! And 1 weak ago I find a 3rd tiny puzzle again in this aera xD Well, you get the point.It's easy to find game with beautiful landscape, way more than this game (TESO, BDO, AA, etc..) but it's always easy and empty, not living at all.GW2 is for me the most succesful open world ever made in an mmorpg ^^ 2 - Mount / glider : The feeling you've when you use them.. The job they did.. It's just insane especialy when you look at the release of this, the feeling is incredible, all feel so natural. The beetle and griffin are incredibly fun and fast, love using them just for the fun of it, though jackal still my favourite with the Skyscale <3 3 - Open World Challenge ; ok, not in core Tyria, but in HoT & Pof +LSx, the world is fun and dangerous, HP become true challenge especially when you solo them, then bounty, random champ or leggy, meta event, all these thing, for most of them can be soloed with the right build and that one of the thing I enjoy the most ! That not some easy challenge even with the right build/gear many of them are still incredibly hard and will kill you over and over at the 1st little mistake. 4 - Community ; I've play many mmorpg, most of them at high level chasing the hardest content and leaderboard, and tbh, GW2 have by far the most amazing community I've ever seen on a mmorpg, really. OFC their will always be some ***, but the very far from the majority, most people will help you if you ask about anything in chat, wil happily having fun saying some stupid thing will doing event in squad, rez ppl they come accross or help a guy who struggle on a boss/mob fight naturally. That really not like this everywhere. 5 - The staff/dev does a good job. I see many complaint on the forum, but don't listen at them. If you've play many other mmorpg, you can easily see how dev actually care about there game + community and I can easily understand how hard it can be to invest in a game that old and thus how dev need to deal with low budget to keep making good content.They speak to the comunity, they fix most of the annoying bug despite what some people said, really, if someone complain about dev on this game they just have never play mmorpg that much to understand the luck they have to get dev like this in GW2.No mmorpg is and will ever be perfect for obvious reason.

The result is that players don't swap unless their the meta build is suggesting a different stat. The ability to tryout otherwise never used stats or weird stat combinations or sigils is withheld for players with legendary equipment. There is this cool wintersday sigil which launches snowballs on foes. Who wants to try that out if you have to buy a new 5g sigil of force or 9g sigil of malice after throwing some snowballs? Snowball is amazing for a confusion chrono build :)And to answer the TLDR : Lazy ppl won't try anything. I'm a casual, I play here and there with long break. I tested and still do many MANY build for most class, lot of them to solo hard thing.If you're afraid to "waste" gold, then, yes, don't do it, but then don't complain.This game is incredibly easy to farm and get money to try out thing. I mean dude, you don't even need to buy/farm multiple gear each time you want to try another build !Have you ever play another mmorpg to complain about this in THIS mmo ? I highly doubt. The only rune who was stupidly expensive was the torment one, and even then it took me just 1 day to get the gold for them.. How is that long or difficult ?

Finish my explo on my Tempest and playing only him now. Wasted to much time choosing a main class.Starting S5 story and waiting patiently while having fun with friend for new chapter release. There isn't any game that will look good in 2021 for mmorpg so I'm sur to keep playing gw2 who is the most fun to me on the market.2022 maybe if Pantheon : Rise of the fallen release (but probably not since they're again in pre-alpha), then I'll go cuz it seem to have all I ever wanted in a mmorpg.

It could be just me with Aussie lag but whenever i cast GS3, i feel like i'm immob in place for 1 second or something. I'm in France (EU server so good ping) and have the same feeling with this skill, pretty weird

Volatile, good money maker, can buy some jewel and since S3 is so easy to farm you don't really need bound one.Just my opinion though.

Like said, PoF are easier but their is less HP point.Most of the time I do the 2 1st maps from hot and 3 1st from PoF to unlock both e-spe.Also, the good thing about HoT is they are many HPs run group and despite the fact than these both can be to hard to solo for some player, just ask in chat and you'll get help very fast.I love hot map and I'm often around, I go help every time someone need help ^^

Just by readding you I can say the 3 cloth profession are what appel you the most.The good thing is, since they're cloth all of them, you can use the same ascended gear for all of them ;)That exactly the situation I was few week ago xDThe exact same class was appealing me and only yesterday I finaly decide to go fully on my Mirage (mesmer). Harder to play than my necro, it's more dynamic and pretty unique, really love it. You're closer than you thing to find your way, now, the only thing that can help you is time, test and gold.Yes you'll need all those 3 to test as many build as possible with all of them and sooner you'll find which one is the ONE ^^ Have fun dude, take your time, nothing gonna go away ;)

1st : Their is many lag problem due to some map, that not in your side (pof and after mainly, not always and not for all, can varie).For other, it doesn't matter how good your conf' is if you don't optimize it. Don't underestimate how a mmo, especialy old one not optimized for the tech we got now.Here is a channel I use to optimize my PC, it's simple to follow even if you don't know anything and it work very well (I've earn +40fps in some place and all my pc is way more fast).=> Don't stop at this video, look at his other and do all you can, you won't regret it :)

I've give up since many day on it. Even both E-spe was not fun enough to keep me in (but way better than core).In the end of all my test, Mesmer & Thief are what appeal me the most core and their spe are amazingly fun to play. @"yLoon.5289" "melting mob" is doable by anyone w/o effort and any build.Doing HoT HP alone is another thing.If you can solo balty avatar, Coztic, Chack in auric and so on, then go ahead and show me, I'm curious about it tbh.But so far I was struggling hard for the 1st time to made them.I've level up and farm e-spe ALONE, in any other class but rev (not up yet) and it's was sometime hard but doable. But engi ? Uuf.. @The boz.2038 Totally explained what's wrong with engi. Add to that the extreme lack of weapon diversity and it become boring and tedious.

Hello @"OrangeWaffle.4287" I'm a guy who like building on his own and theory-craft a lot.So here is my 1st tip : DO NOT ASK OTHER PLAYER WHAT TO PLAY.Why ? Because most player try to sell their favorite class or just swear by the meta word. And meta is not a thing that is fix in the long run.I also came across another problem from these player who share build like "able to solo open world", most of them (they're is exception) clearly don't solo any though champ/leg and their build are just about dps and can't do anything difficult alone.The moment when you give your taste and ask for advice is fine, but never ask people what you should play. So, now that is said, like you these 2 class are the one I really want to be in.1st, all class can do all content efficiently, you just have to get the right build/gear for it, don't go like you'll never have to switch gear/skill, that not how this game work and so far, it's not a problem once you get used to it.I also like the condi style more, I'm a "mage" / "support" player in most of mmorpg I've played in the past.I've give up on the heal/support for now, cuz it's only useful on rare occasion, most of the time you'll just have pain when alone unlike you've already many other gear to change build. That not my case I've pretty much all weapon in ascend and 1 light armor in ascend + jewel, that all. And for now I enjoy open world while doing meta alone or with people and soloing though boss like blademaster, balthazar, hot mastery, bounty from pof etc.. I think the open world is amazing here. If you're interested I can share my Necro build that is capable of solo pretty much everything, do good damage to not be a pain to chain trash mob and are really easy to play. I'm currently working on a Mirage, I now staff/staff is a popular solo, but the damage are way to low to be enjoyable so I'm trying some variante, can't share it for now since I don't have end testing and can't guaranteed it work.Note : the Mesmer weakness (mirage at least) is that all your clone/phantasm will disappear if you kill a trash and it can be a problem against a large pack of mob or in meta.I've play Ele and both of his e-spe in power and condi, it's pretty fun, but I find the 2 other more my taste in animation and look, especially the Mesmer.Underwater skill's of Ele clearly have the best look !Also it's not difficult at all like some player say, like any class, read your skill, and practice, don't be afraid by what you read, just go for it and try if you like it. Winter event is amazing to made money, if you can, farm a lot the puzzle in hard mode (not very hard in fact once used to it) and sell gift, I made ton of money (friends of mine too) and that how I crafted many ascended weapon and buying some expensive cool skin :) Go for it ! TLDR : Test everything, use metabattle and youtube build, and adapt them to fit your test or made something completely new.And when you'r not sur about how something work in your class (can eb tricky some time) ask in forum or in game chat, you'll get answer pretty much every time, the community of this game is amazing :) Gear wise (for condi) :Choose about what you do most : Solo open world : Rabid (for class that profit from crit / thoughness like mesmer or necro) or Dire for those who don't.Both are very cheap to get in exo.Also, expertise (condi duration), is useless in solo/open world, you'll give up to much on fast damage and will take age to kill trash, not fun at all, only very high hp boss are worth the investissement on expertise from my experience. Group content : Viper all the way. If you can't get it for now aim for Sinister until you can craft Viper. PVP / WvW, no idea, not tested yet, better to ask player who know ^^ Hope it help, have fun :)

I don't plan to do legendary since I only play 1 char now I don't see the benefice of it over ascended.So I keep all of them and when I need money (I've buy many gemme and cosmetics recently) I sell them for gold.If you plan to do some leg that need it, then just stack them.
