  2. It's amusing to read the posts of stacked server players desperately trying to maintain the current status quo of having their heavily populated WvW servers beat dead horses. It is obvious that something decisive must be done about unbalanced WvW because, at the end of the day, even the good and honest players on stacked servers do not have any fun at all. Even if ANet creates a system capable of balancing opposing populations in WvW, the Outnumbered buff must become relevant to compensate for temporary imbalances.

  5. If you do not understand the intention of Outnumbered buff then is pointless to argue with you, please learn a bit more about the game. The only problem is that Outnumbered buff is worthless right now, if tweaked it can help the defending underdogs.

  7. WvW will only be interesting and rewarding if the underdog side has some chances at defending its objectives. ANet is favouring the attacking side, usually the overdog side, so the future will be the most populated side running its zerg around capping empty objectives because no sane people will ever defend and hold any objective at all. The Outnumbered buff is completely useless and should be changed according to the rationale that desperate defenders tend better their fortifications and fight with more courage, energy and complete disregard for their lives, writing glorious pages of their Annals of War. So, the Outnumbered buff should be: +25% to all stats/-25% enemy damage to own fortifications/+25% moving speed/-80% damage received while downed Plus the existing buffs but changed as: +100% participation/+100% Magic Find/+100% World Experience/No armor damage upon death plus a 1 gold reward per hour of being outnumbered/Being killed by the enemy will not grant War Score to the enemy but will grant War Score to the own side once per 5 min (to avoid abuses).

  10. I did got the cap as soon as I entered Lions Arch after we reached the goal. Did you bought anything from the in-game shop?
  11. The upcoming changes hinted by the New Balance Philosophy will transform completely the current classes and even the heritage philosophy from the original ANet Manifesto. Such huge changes need to be showed, discussed and changed within the whole GW2 community before hitting real live servers. I love GW2 and I dont want it to be gutted before getting better after months and months of tweaks, especially because 3 or 4 great new MMO will launch during the next 12 months and will easily drain a lot of unhappy GW2 players. Long live GW2!
  12. ANet just needs to do what other good games do, LIVE TEST SERVERS for all players interested in providing feedback, which in GW2 case are not for sure as you said "...100'000 players...". I really do not understand your remark about "awesome drops" in test servers, everyone knows that test servers content is temporary and do not transfer to REAL LIVE SERVERS... Are LIVE TEST SERVERS too much to ask from an AAA game in 2022?
  13. Hello all, I am confortable with the announced new balance philosophy but it is paramount that all players have access to LIVE TEST SERVERS so player's feedback is provided in real time, alongside the feedback provided by ANet testers, before any game patch is rolled out. Thanks.
  14. It seems that is working for people who only played WvW after the patch. Who played WvW this week before the patch is not getting any achievement.

  16. One of the main reasons why WvW is unfair and unfun right now, besides the obviously unbalanced match-ups, is that we need to endure for weeks a bad match-up. Even 1 week is too much to endure when you get a bad match-up, that is why new daily match-ups at daily reset within a much more balanced Alliance system will greatly improve WvW. Also, considering the WvW population numbers (195 players per map/780 players in all 4 maps), allowing unsplit 500-man guilds will make Alliance system unbalanced. Guilds should have the 500 limit for PvE (with an overall commander) and be divided internaly in 5 chapters of 100 (with its own specific commander) for WvW Alliance system purposes.

The WvW restructuring and alliances system is still heavily dependent on manual match-up and as can be seen this week on NA the current alliance match-up has been messed up and is very unbalanced. The bottom line is that if Alliances are implemented, an automated distribution system needs to run the whole distribution of players/guilds per alliance with a daily reset to keep player distribution balanced. Belonging to an alliance does not mean anything anymore, is just there to split all players between 3 opposing teams so playing 1 day on a team and the next day on a different team does not have any real impact and will increase the overall fun for everyone.
  18. Actually, I think Banners should be 2-handed weapons while equiped (melee banners and ranged banners) and provide area effects when planted on the ground. Banners can be a real breakthrough for GW2 weapons.
  19. Server pride is a urban myth, most people change servers all the time depending on the match ups... The current beta alliance system is much better than the old match up system that perpetuates very strong servers against under dog servers, bringing unnecessary frustration to such an awesome game mode as WvW is. I am having much more fun with the alliance system, much more commanders available, all type of fights, very dynamic and fluid frontlines, Stonemist Castle changing hands all the time instead of locked the whole match up for the stronger servers. Alliance system is better than we have, of course that some tuning up is needed but please never ever again use the old match up system. Thanks.
  20. Actually you are wrong, seriously wrong. All your points are wrongly considered negative by you because they all are very positive for the general population in WvW, especially for new players. And do not forget that until December 2022 this game will enter Steam and a lot of new players will join. The best measure that Alliances are the best route for WvW is that Stonemist Castle rarely goes to T3 and never stays in the same hands for long. This represents a much more balanced WvW. Capisci?
