  1. Weird last post for me after the thread finally came from a toxic bash thread to a let's find the real problem final. The last posts made totally sense to me: 1. Pistol 5 is also a problem without moa. 2. Moa is not the problem without cs reset to double it after opponent used its counter skills to avoid the first moa. 3. CS resetting elites is not only a problem with Moa elite Why change moa when 2 other things are the problem which don't get solved by changing moa? Would be a typical senseless anet move because chancing moa is less effort but a stupid move nevertheless. Moa is a transformation with long cast time not a cc for a reason, it is not supposed to give the opponent every tool at hand to make getting hit by moa and all the mesmers investment to hit this telegraphed skill meaningless.
  2. From a basic design point (means its potential skill intensity when well balanced in a well balanced game) yes but not in the state it still is in. Also the overall braindead gamestate (which is getting worse the longer incompetent and unprofessional devs balance the game) just as leaked and officially announced dev statements are just disgusting and do not give hope this game will be well balanced any time soon again (and good balance includes skillbased! and not only a lot of braindead stuff is close to each other in strength for variety in teamcomps).
  3. The game is already way more braindead than it should be lol . . . Crazy idea: Watch some guides, train, get some skill and knowledge. It is not PvE here where every newby can expect to be pro in 2 days and get all achievements. (I give you that: Matchmaking sucks. It is annoying for lowbies just as for the decent player. No one has fun in stomp matches.)

  5. You did not follow the balance over the last years. Also CmC seems to like low skill intense builds, since he is not good at the game himself. That only low skill intense builds on mesmer are meta (if there are even any builds meta for mesmer) has nothing to do with the class but with a general bad balance philosophy done by incompetent devs. Other classes have just as or even more braindead and broken builds, while not being out of meta for years.
  6. I think every dev who is the slightest responsible for developing or not preventing those trade offs and eod should be kindly but permanently moved to pve map design or jp development. And that please long enough before the next balance patch for pvp.
  7. Well, one of my my points was, that they didn't revert the core nerfs after nerfing mirage like that. On the other side we should not complain about nerfs to core traitlines when the problems are in core traitlines (wasn't the case with vigor in duelling but for example the signet invulnerability trait in inspiration is a general problem not only on mirage). And the other point was, that modifying core traits for elites like that is a chance to get away from such brutal trade off nerfs. For example reducing vigor in some traitlines when mirage overperformes with it but core doesn't overperform with it. Especially when they don't want to get rid of traits because of PvE.
  8. They went even more far with mirage. After nerfing all vigor for all mesmer specs they additionally removed one dodge bar. 😆
  9. Same. Anet like: 30 of the 50 player left in a gamemode in maintenance mode didn't buy the expansion? 🤷‍♂️
  10. The only reason bs is not that overshadowed by thief +1 is because it is utterly broken atm and that can't be the way. You also would not overbuff side node ele even more so it can deal better with necros. Except for berserker, no warrior spec is weak or bad and with some counters you have to live, like other classes need to live with as well. Anet either develops a new spec for warrior with shorter or less telegraphed casttimes, better disengage which can't be ruptedbut then gives it weaknesses classes with stealth or instant teleports have, or warriors have to live with that. Crying for buffs to core/spellbreaker or hoping for bs staying op, so thief can't keep it out of side node meta isn't asking for fair balance in my opinion.
  11. Thief mains don't complain about SA nerfs, they complain because SA didn't get nerfed and instead they nerf around the real issues for no good reasons. What is so hard to understand about that?

Dunno, i think CmC proves quite well that making ex player of a game to a dev of said game isn't the way to go either, just as he proves that being a player doesn't necessary mean having clue about the game and all classes. Being mainly a dev who plays the game unbiased and well for the purpose of understanding pvp and the classes or being an ex one trick pony player becoming a dev for whatever weird reasons is already a big difference. Also the feedback devs tried to convince us they listened to before last beta must be some hidden pure pve discord server...
