  1. Check with an ENT doc (ear, nose, throat) as well. Your motion sickness could be due to an inner ear problem.
  2. As Donari states, change your FOV and camera settings.I also recommend Dramamine or ginger. The dramamine can take 30 min. to be effective, whereas you only need to chew some ginger to help with the nausea. Make sure it's unprocessed ginger (raw root).
  3. why would you leave the game over a mount that you don't really need?extreme reactions do you no good.O_o
  4. If I had to bet, I'd say no.Reasoning:1) if the gear is on one character it'll stay on that one character.2)This appears to be directly based on the template system from GW1 and weapons/gear couldn't migrate amongst characters there. So, once you create that template, that's that.
  5. What? They're talking about mastery points @Randulf.7614 said:Spectacularly bad idea What? They refer to mastery levelsface palm
  6. Personally I'd love to see some stuff from GW1 ported over to GW2 (especially some of the necro armor skins) and the special weapons that could be obtained from the named bosses/mini-bosses. They were Green weapons/items in GW1 and would probably be ascended in GW2.And I still think a time traveling story line would be cool. Go back and visit locations that were highlights in GW1.
  7. This, to me, is why legendarys are not worth the hassle.I play GW 1 & 2 to have fun after I leave work. I already have a stressful job and don't want more stress grinding for items that are, at best, vanity pieces.Yes I am well aware of the added/enhanced stats on legendary weapons and armor, but similar stats can be had with ascended items and they don't require nearly the drudgery to obtain and can be re-skined to ones liking, which I believe cannot be done with legendarys (I am open to correction on this). The funny part is, I probably have enough of the needed items/materials to make something but I've never looked into it.
  8. Except the problem was that they timegated each step. Thats what people were complaining about. They forced players to stop working on it until reset the next day. That is what made them unhappy. So my comment stands. Why is everyone in such a rush? Because if they want to get it done in a day...why not? If they have the capability then let them go for it. Timegating doesn't create a challenge or make finishing something more satisfying or worthwhile, it just feels like some daily chore you have to deal with because you're being forced to not continue something despite being completely able to. This game is not a game where one seeks challenge as this game presents very little challenge to those you might deem more "hardcore" gamers. GW2 is very casual, and that would normally be fine if Anet didn't design things almost entirely around the casual audience. They need to have a mixture. Thats why people go elsewhere for challenging PvE. Went a little off-topic there but... I understand them wanting to make Skyscale accessible, as it should be, but the way in which they did it just made the illusion of "challenge" with the time gating just grating and annoying. I imagine its less of a problem for people who are like "Well thats fine, I can pick this up when I get back from work tomorrow." Casual mindset. As opposed to "If I focus on this I could easily get all of this done tonight" Hardcore mindset. Time gating isn't a challenge, its just waiting in line at the DMV only to have it close before you can get to the desk. And to add to what KryTiKaL has said; I recall Anet crowing about players playing the way they want to play and not the way Anet wants them to play.So what happened with that?`
  9. This is not too dissimilar to how build templates worked in GW1.the characters could also have various weapons that could be swapped out via the F1-3 keys. Still wish this was case for all professions as it was in GW1.I don't recall if that was the case with armor as it's been a while since I got onto GW1.
  10. Sorry but gliding does not equal flying. To take flight implies the ability to gain altitude. The Gryphon is simply a long distance glider. I mean, if we're really doing this, here's what I find on the internet: "Flight is the process by which an object moves through an atmosphere (or beyond it, as in the case of spaceflight) without contact with the surface." - Wikipedia. "[to fly]a : to move in or pass through the air with wingsb : to move through the air or before the wind or through outer spacec : to float, wave, or soar in the air" - Merriam-Webster dictionary. Sure, these are just some of possible meanings, but the point is our mounts in GW 2 are technically flying.https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/glideglide verb\ ˈglīd\glided; glidingintransitive verb1 : to move smoothly, continuously, and effortlessly2 : to go or pass imperceptibly3a of an airplane : to descend gradually in controlled flightb : to fly in a glider4 : to produce a glide (as in music or speech) Gryphons in GW2 are glorified gliders. They do not/ cannot gain altitude when gliding over a long distance. And putting one into a dive simply kicks in the booster at a lower altitude when you "pull up".And I'll concede the point about flight as that was a poor choice of words on my part, but my argument is still the same.
  11. No, it is not... quite. You can dive with super speed and gain an incredible amount of altitude. Let me reiterate: when a plane is in flight it can gain altitude by either adding power to the engines or using a dive to gain enough speed to then climb. The Gryphon's can, at best, maintain a level flight path for a short distance but then they slowly glide towards the ground. And, unless I've missed something, I have yet to have my Gryphon gain altitude on a long glide.Putting a Gryphon into a dive and then "pulling up" does not actually lead to a gain in altitude just an increase in speed.
  12. Thats not what the OP said at all mate read again Read again "mate", I was adding my thoughts to the situation as well as agreeing with Quad.face palm
  13. I have to agree with The Quad.8625 .I find no reason to pursue the skyscale mount in the pursuits current implementation. It's overly "make work" and pointless. And to be honest I also fail to see the point of the skayscale.

  15. And you haven't address the main crux of the matter: parents keeping an eye on their kids and not abdicating that responsibility to the state or federal government.
  16. I got some good conversation and camaraderie.I laughed, I cried, it was life changing.wait.... you mean anything from the bonus boxes.Yeah total bust, except for the fun convos.
  17. I got into an argument over at PC gamer for expressing this very sentiment. As a grown adult I decide what I want to spend my money on and if I choose to buy 1000 BLC and the accompanying keys, the government has no say over this, And parents should be monitoring what their kids do when it comes to these games not the government. And to be brutally honest, if loot boxes become verboten then lotteries need to be eliminated as well, after all at least with the chests you're getting something. All that said, I do have a problem with games that drop loot chests/capsules that are required to be opened if you want to get better items and are expensive to open to boot COUGHdcuoCOUGH. I do find it amusing that it's the left that are getting bent over this. Another indicator of where we stand with the government.
  18. Personally, I'd prefer the ability to remove soulbind in general.
  19. Once you know what to look for, this is an easy fight. What to look for: when you see it about to jump and it creates the target circle it's going to jump to, interrupt it just before it jumps (sometimes this can be done just as it jumps as well). This stuns it and prevents it from sticking it's health sucking crazy straw in you, thereby allowing you free reign to unload some punishment.
