  2. @Roy Marks.7689, I think you guys work hard and implement a lot of new things that are highly enjoyable like stat-selectable gear to wvw and other benefits that weren't around in the beginning. Though you guys may have missed the mark with the latest wvw changes, it's fine because you guys are still trying your best to address concerns and complaints. That said, when will the next no-downstate week be...?
  3. Exactly. I'm not asking to take away downstate forever or even change revive mechanics. I'm just asking for the event that used to occur annually. I know they aren't going to do no-downstate week every month. But there is a chance they'll bring back the literal only interesting wvw event that isn't just a buff to reward track. In fact, I'd take anything. Anet, you want to change repairs and siege? Fine. Buff boon balls and cater things more in favor of zerging over individual play? Okay. However, at least give us SOMETHING, anything that shakes things up from the norm. Edit: I would genuinely laugh if they made a 50% boon and heal buff week instead 😂. Or a no walls and gates week lol.

  8. This is why I play meme builds. You have no idea how many havoc players I've ended with glass rifle warrior - a warrior with no survivability, all offensive signets, everything put into [Killshot], protecting my guys with sniper one-shots. Gankers won't let people return to battle from waypoint? Killshot. Uncatchable perma-stealth thieves skulking around a freshly captured objective? Killshot. Bunker style, boon heavy, players tanking everything thrown at them while conditioning people to death? Killshot. Wvw opens up when you go against the grain. I've become in my own head a protector of the roads and anti-ganker all because of the meme builds I choose to play. I'm instinctively doing the "R - Roleplaying" in MMORPG. But in a zerg, I'm just another cog in the machine, following a tag and their tactics. Which is fine and still very fun but less fulfilling.
  9. Or has anet stopped doing no-downstate week altogether? I know it hurts zerg play and anet is more focused on that right now, but can we get a no-downstate week? Preferably one every month 😆🙏
  10. As a warrior main, I'm obviously biased. But you have to admit, it's a narrow aoe that you just have to move left or right to get out of. It's by far not the most dangerous aoe out there. The only reason Scorched Earth was hampered, in my opinion, was zergs stay in one place a lot and its a zerg summer at Anet HQ.
  11. I main warrior, but I'm not bad at necro. That said, I dominate with cele harbringer. I was weirded out using it seeing how strong it was. I almost 1v3'd + camp NPC's while playing harbringer. If I was better at line of sight instead of doing my typical ring-a-round-a-rosey or rallied in time off guard death, I would've won. Celestial Harbringer is bonkers. I kind of like that necro players get to have fun in that way because it reminds me of how Spellbreaker used to be crazy fun when Full Counter could do damage, but holy moly. They should change the name from Harbringer to End Times because it's the end if you go up against it.
  12. IMO, they're focusing on making wvw a more zerg friendly place. Since zergs are always bunched up, they are more susceptible to Scorched Earth, even though Scorched Earth is a narrow path that you just need to step left or right to get out of. Anet, I believe, are just catering to the zergs in wvw, just like how they shrunk the camp circles and made walls harder to put back up to accommodate zerg play.
  13. The combat is one of the best in all of MMO's. It's why i could never go to eso or final fantasy 14. Their combat is so boring compared to GW2. The only combat I liked better was Black Desert but they're money grubbers.
  14. Warrior: A "two-handed" main hand pistol that takes up all skills on skill bar and is held with the "cup and saucer" gun grip, which will make commando spec and would also go well with rifle. Engineer: Greatsword they can surf on. Elementalist: If I could literally pick anything, I'd give them magic playing cards and the cards act like Gambit's powers from X-men. Realistically, I'd give them longbow for magic archer. Ranger: Double focus so that they can get wolverine claws and act like a "jungler" like the role in MOBAs. Thief: Off-hand sword and it would be cool if they gave thief shadow clone skills, not overpowered but reasonable shadow clone skills. And the clones will have to be, if not more, obvious than mesmer clones to not make their opponents rage trying to find them in stealth and among their clones. Mesmer: Hammer Necro: I don't know what weapon but definitely make them into vampires and have bat effects like mesmer butterfly effects.
  15. It really is a lowest common denominator nerf, a nerf to help slow and noob players. I rarely ever get caught in that pull because it's already so obvious lol, humongous cone highlighted on the ground. "Oh, I wonder what that could be?" 😂
  16. My guess is that Anet often caters to the "whales", the players that support the company through heaps of gem purchases.
  17. The worst part is that Scorched Earth is obvious. The floor is literally on fire under you. It couldn't be more obvious unless it was lava. Step to safety by going left or right. You don't even need to dodge. Not to mention, Scorched Earth has a chance of completely missing if they're on the move lol
  18. They would need to rework the espec. I can't think of any other way where berserker is as smooth as soulbeast with its gameplay. I'm pretty sure anet wants berserker to rely heavily on CC rather than that kind of smooth transition between skill use like soulbeast has.
  19. But why though? Just move out of the narrow path of aoe lol. It's not like meteor shower or a necro circle. Just move left or right and you're out of it. Are they babying boon balls that stand still all the time?
  20. Rush does track better. That's pretty good. Better late than never. Increased damage to Arcing Slice is nice. I never use sword, so my opinion on it's number changes doesn't matter. Wild Blow being unblockable and doing damage is pretty good. Still, I had way more fun with it when it knocked people away. That's all I cared about. It looks like we're not going to get much fun changes. Number tweaking as usual. Same old, same old.
  21. I just want to move around slicing people to be honest 😆 . I always put fun over substance for this game. We've been slaves to the numbers and it shows. Let's choose the other road to travel, the road of fun. And before anyone says to simply use 1 on GS if I want to slice around, it's too slow and laborious, though it does hit hard if you're power based.
  22. I would like to know why Hundred Blades can't be mobile. It would just be the same as Scrapper's Shredder Gyro but less effective. What could be the reason not to change it? Resources? Time? Maybe not enough of us are asking for it?
  23. Boo. I don't care if it was based on a real knight in the medieval age that bled out his opponents. Making the SWORD a DoT damage weapon is a crime against your ancestors.
  24. First, I'll join in on the "why does everyone have condi" critique. As a warrior main, I hate that sword - the weapon of heroes and stories - is a fricking bleed weapon. I disagree putting condi or DoT damage on anything but magic and rogue classes. Second, about the thief grief. I think it's because the best mode of gameplay for thieves is competitive, so they allow them some privileges. It's not like they're exactly kings of pve, so they let them have fun in the other game modes. And they only gave thief rifle because they collectively asked for the weapon. Warrior was already the sniper with their rifle, but anet wanted to listen to the players. My personal grief nowadays with thief is macros. Like, why even play competitive if you need help lol
  25. I'm playing Divinity Bladesworn with banners and it's easy mode to win in 1v1 or skirmishes because of aegis with reflect on block trait. I mean, really. I can't be stopped 1v1 and team fights. Zergs? I don't even bother trying to use Bladesworn. There's not much impact it can do since you're stuck in place charging Dragon Slash and you're in danger of being run over by a zerg. But I'm still peeved about Daring Dragon changes. I have no idea who wanted the alacrity or why.
