  1. For condi virtuoso lose: In every 17 sec (bladesong sorrow CD * 0.85), 5 stacks bleeding (10 sec each assume max expertise) + 1 blade (from 5 stacks bleeding). Should be slightly more if consider signet of illusions, but the CD is 60 sec. gain: 10% precision boost = 210 points, which can be tuned to condition damage. So I don't think there would be much difference for condi virt.
  2. Another possibility is that ppl who are selling raid are strongly against the new legendary armor (no matter it is new set or upgrade from ascended). Their in-game income will shrink a lot.
  3. It is also weird virtuoso has default 10% vit to ferocity. If anet really wants to push condi virtuoso, at least change to 10% vit to precision, which is useful to both condi and power.
  4. it is time to enjoy this video again. Nobody Likes You, Kormir https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DxmkAoLC6_4
  5. how about compare horizontally with other class? Feel My Wrath 30s recharge for 3s quickness + 10s fury Time Warp 120s recharge for 5x(1s quickness + 1s slow)
  6. why taking sharpening sorrow? Your power build seems do not need expertise. For virtuoso trait, 223 is generating blades faster than 222.
  7. Instant cast/no line of sight/no projectiles are not just numbers. If you don't know how important they are or you think starting a fight with 5 blades can out-perform them, I doubt you ever play mesmer more than 10 hours. Also your confidence of virtuoso is NOT based on current stats, NOT based on the fact ANET already nerfed virtuoso once in beta2, but based on you imagination that ANET would do some good things in the unknown future?
  8. Virtuoso has much worse shatters. 1, Virtuoso shatters have cast time. Others are all instant cast and no need line of sight. 2, Virtuoso shatters are projectiles and not AOE (just pierce). 3, Virtuoso shatters only have slightly higher damage than core mesmer. Core mesmer F1 total damage is 3 clones + youself = 642/3*4 = 856 Shatter. Destroy all your clones, damaging nearby foes. The shatter effect also occurs at your location. Damage.png 1 Illusion: 306 (1.15)? Damage.png 2 Illusions (2x): 490 (1.84)? Damage.png 3 Illusions (3x): 642 (2.415)? Number of targets.png Number of Targets: 5 Radius.png Radius: 240 Range.png Range: 1,200 Virtuoso F1 total damage is 186 *5 = 930 Bladesong. Fire all stocked blades at your target. Damage.png Strike Damage per Blade Spent: 186 (0.7)? Number of targets.png Number of Targets: 5 Pierces.png Pierces Power attribute.png Blade Range.png Range: 1,200
  9. before that, quickness is mesmer only
  10. virtuoso nerfed all traits/skills on illusion creation. for core/mirage, those traits/skills are triggered 2 times for a single phantasm skill: phantasm -> clone for chrono, it is 3 times: phantasm -> phantasm -> clone for virtuoso, it is just 1 time on blade creation. And those traits/skills would stop working when blade is maximum. virtuoso maybe only useful in open world or story for the fancy animation.
  11. if u want spirits play style, try Engineer and play turret.
  12. You should also check Teapot's following video: virtuoso is well designed, but USELESS: useless in PVE useless in PVP
  13. From the video itself and the comments under it, those ppl seem spend no more than 5 hours playing mesmer.
  14. For virtuoso, Anet claimed to address an issue (difficulty to generate blade), which is actually never an issue (any one tested virtuoso in beta 1 should have no problem to generate blade). Ignored all other higher priority issues (projectile, cast time, delayed shatter, no defense, no utils, no mobility, no cc). Nerfed the only workable thing (PVE pdps). why bother to create such an E spec, which is even worse than the core mesmer?
  15. Just zoom out and check the big picture of current game. The only things that matter in the game are boons, dps and cc (maybe dodge). Conditions are more considered as dps, rather than debuff. And they are just DOT or others, who cares the difference between bleeding and poisoned? Check how fun GW1 mesmer skills are: you take damage if you use a skill: https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Visions_of_Regret you take damage if you do not use a skill: https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Wastrel's_Demise Even if you never played GW1, just imagine how fun to play with these skills and how pathetic the current GW2 mesmer is. BTW, miss those creative skills so much: https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Domination_Magic
  16. Mesmer main since in GW1. So much fun in PVE and PVP, especially in Alliance Battles. Also got GWAMM on my mesmer. In GW2, created mesmer on day 1 and played 2k+ hours. Now I already spend more time on firebrand and scourge. Will play mesmer even less because anet nerfed confusion, which may be the only thing similar to the GW1 mesmer hex style (force enemy to make choices). All conditions are too similar in GW2.
