  1. Unless that iSCSI device has low latency SSD(s) for storage, avoid using it for GW2 anyway, especially when using DX11. You might even see I nice boost in performance when playing from a decent local NVMe SSD. However if you still want to share your GW2 installation over the network, you could try a tool called "gw2launcher" which was originally designed to launch multiple accounts from a single installation for multi-boxing purposes. It's tolerated by ANet as far as I know and should allow you to create two or more profiles with different graphics settings while only requiring updating the installation once on patchdays.
  2. Not sure if it was fixed with the June 7th update, but if it wasn't and you encounter it again, just move the character that experienced the bug out of Arborstone into another zone before logging out. That should properly reset the daily counter the next day and "fix" the bugged character/account.
  3. No it's not missing a "0". You can use the invitation on any character above level 2 which is intentional to avoid people breaking their characters by teleporting out of the starter instance. It's the same reasoning as with the lounge teleport scrolls. If you desire to have the invitation at level 2 you can always buy it from one of the skritt festival vendors in Lion's Arch before you get it in the mail. It's pretty much the same for all six festivals. The wiki is also wrong about the level requirement for the mail. It's level 15 from what I remember, but I'll verify it later today with a fresh heroic account and update the wiki accordingly.
  4. Piken Square Dragon Hunters (https://psdh.eu/) do a weekly early afternoon run on Sundays. There is also a loose group of folks doing a daily run late afternoon or evening depending on the day of the week. Just take a look at LFG about 30 minutes before the event starts and join the groups early to actually get into the map. Usually it takes three to four attempts on my alt-accounts to get all five mastery points. Not sure how you think this world boss could be downscaled better. The only thing that comes to mind is a reduction of the stacks of immunity which is fixed at 20 right now. In theory you can already do the Crimson and Cobalt Heads with a lot less than 20 people each as long as you have people blocking egg spawns. The mobs in the three battle arenas already scale down. The only difficult part is the hard requirement for 20+ folks at the Amber Head. From my experience it's usually a lack of reading the squad chat or following the commander's instructions why an organized attempt fails. Doing an impromptu attempt with a pickup group isn't really advised since the window for decapitating the heads and a successful kill is relatively short and requires quite a large amount of knowledge of the encounter and proper communication.
  5. There are quite a lot of folks who are willing to pay for the convenience, especially since the wiki hasn't a nice little breakdown for the amount of each type required for the whole collection yet. I finished the collection yesterday as well and it's quite time consuming to go through all permutations despite having more than enough basic cubs and dyes at hand from the beginning.
  6. When you transition between areas with different LUT effects, e.g. swimming out of water or walking over some of the bridges in Destiny's Gorge I get at least one corrupt frame flashing on the screen. It doesn't seem to be affected by driver versions or Win 10 editions, both on my RX 6800 XT and GTX 1080 Ti equipped systems.
  7. Ouch, not getting anything above common rarity is really bad luck. Personally I don't open more than ~10 chests at a time anymore, unless I get a lucky streak. Maybe it's just observation bias, but I opened ~350 chests with the WvW/PvP reward track elixir (don't ask why ) and I noticed that sometimes you get good or bad streaks when opening chests in batches of 25. My luckiest streak was 2 rare and 4 or 5 uncommon weapon skins in a streak of 50 chest. At other times I was happy to get 1 uncommon skin out of 25 chests. Altogether I only got 4 rare weapon skins, a rare tonic and a node out of those 350ish chests. While I doubt my observed variations of that old chest were statistically relevant, it could be a hint that ANet's random seeds are not as random as expected.
  8. It may or may not be apply to you, but if you are using an AMD GPU and upgraded to the latest drivers you might get some weird graphical and crashes issues, since these seem to be really, really bad for GW2. I actually had to downgrade to the beta drivers since they worked fine for.
  9. That's awfully optimistic. From my own experience and research done by other users during last year's beta events, it's ~10% chance for an uncommon item and ~2% for an item of the rare category. The exclusives are on another roll and have ~10% chance for the first one (assuming you haven't any of them) and ~5% for the 2nd (assuming you already have one of them). Not sure about the 3rd or the repeatable one, but it's probably ~2%. Nobody seems to have opened enough chests to get a solid idea about the chance of the super rare items, but I'd guess it's somewhere around 0.01% - 0.05%. However you sound quite unlucky for 40 chest. This time I opened around the same number of chests on my main account and got quite lucky with 6 uncommon items incl. the chair (had the glider already) and 2 rares (a node and a weapon skin). I opened another ~30 chests on various alt-accounts and got the glider on one, an uncommon skin on another and a glyph on a really lucky third alt account.
  10. I haven't acquired all of the color variations yet, but you typically need 200+ of the basic ones to turn them into the rarer ones. For example the two super rare ones need 65 basic cubs each according to the wiki. Adding to Danikat's post: If you aren't interested in the other colors and just want to sell the duplicates, keep them for now and wait a couple of weeks until the content of the Black Lion Chest is changed again. Since they are really cute compared to some of the previous mini pets, they might sell in the 2g to 5g range once they become harder to acquire.
  11. Have you reported it in-game vie the "/bug" command? In theory you will have a bigger chance that the bug gets looked at since that way it is directly communicated to the QA team unlike bug reports in the forum. From what I remember that bug seems actually be a regression of something that was reported during launch week in the EoD forums in a couple of the first threads about fishing. It got at least partially fixed for some runes during one of the first larger patches if I'm not mistaken. It seems that the last update broke a couple of previous fixes. On a side note, your text isn't readable in dark mode. In case you pasted it from an external editor, it usually helps converting it into plain-text via the pop-up at the bottom of the forum editor.
  12. It's a bug. Confirmed so far by two GMs I'm in contact with. It's also easily reproducible on any account that only has an EoD license. I checked it on multiple accounts and all of them are affected. Please don't be that condescending towards other players, if it has been already established that it is a bug within this thread. At the moment it's basically just an issue whether ANet is willing to fix it in a timely fashion or if the don't care since the only known workaround for the player is to spend another 30 €/$ to unlock core Mastery Insights via the Pof/HoT license. edit: And sorry, for being raging mad about this issue, but after contacting CS and reading their answers so far, I'm really losing my faith in ANet's capabilities when it comes to game design, QA and CS.
  13. The tick rate usually refers to the update frequency of the game state on the server side of online games. It's usually not that relevant in MMOs that use (global) cooldowns on their skills, but it's very important for eSport or FPS games.
  14. No, it's unrelated to the changes mentioned in the notes for the latest patch since it's irrelevant to the issue how you unlock the mastery system. I tested it with several accounts: before completing the EoD story, after completing it, directly unlocking the mastery system via teleport to the NKC jumping puzzle before starting EoD story, etc. The only change related to the last patch that I noticed so far was that you now get a Core Tyria Mastery Point when teleporting to Cantha for the first time before starting the EoD story on an account with its highest level character below 80. However since I'm running out of fresh EoD-only accounts, I'm not able to do much more testing in that regard. From the looks of it nobody at ANet bothered checking if unlocks that require expansions are working properly if someone only buys an EoD license.
  15. According to the support team it's a bug and not intentional. I still have an open support ticket for this bug despite reporting it over two months ago and multiple times since then on various of my EoD-only accounts. At the moment I'm trying to escalate the issue above the level of canned responses, but so far I still wait for an answer whether they actually intend to fix the issue or what the timeframe for this will be. So far it seems that the only way to get the issue fixed will be complaints to the BBB in the US and/or its equivalent in the EU. Or find a streamer who mocks ANet for this regularly till it get's done... I suggest to create a bug report in game via the "/bug" command while standing next to an insight to increase the awareness of the issue. This will send the issue directly to the QA team. Reporting bugs on the forums only seems to be useful for widespread issues with a lot of player feedback since the QA Team has to actually notice reports on the forums which may or may not happen in a timely manner.
  16. You could try to disable most of the power management settings manually to see if that helps. I used a batch file for something similar when playing Fallout 4 to maximize its poor performance with my crazy large amount of mods, I was pretty much running the GPU always at the power limit. You might also have to dig around in you UEFI setup to see if some of the more advanced power management options are enabled or not (e.g. ErP Lot6 is very glitchy on my MSI mobo when enabled). Not sure if it still applies for Win 11, but in the worst case you could also try to disable the secondary chiplet of your CPU to check if it's a Win11 scheduler thing. Avoid using Vulkan which was suggested in the linked post. That decreases the performance by 15% for my system with the additional benefit of some visual glitches and an additional CPU core at 100% load. I guess it's more useful for older or nVidia GPUs.
  17. Without more details, it's hard to give you pointers, but I assume you are at least running the latest drivers or checked that your BIOS/UEFI is set properly for your hardware? Which version of Windows are you using? If I remember correctly only Windows 10 is officially supported right now. My main system is running a R9 5950X & RX 6800XT on Win 10 Pro at 3840x2160@120Hz with Freesync Premium Pro enabled and connected via DP. I'm typically getting between 80fps - 120fps with native DX11 without any addons or other crapware that hooks into the dx runtime. Although it sometimes dips below 60fps at crowded places or during very busy metas. Sadly I can't max out all settings and have some only at medium/high. However my card rarely reaches its GPU PPT limit of 290W with only one GW2 client. It's usually hovers around in the 180W - 250W range. To max it out I typically have to run two or more clients. OTOH, having up to 8 clients open at the same isn't a problem for me.
  18. It does since you can't buy Mystic Runestones without it.
  19. Today I got a duplicate Balthazar statuette on one of my 4/6 accounts in NKC at the Jade Brotherhood Hideout.
  20. That assumes that you haven't done the personal story on another character before. Personally I do the personal story at least up to The Battle of Claw Island (chapter 6) on any alt for the three guaranteed Black Lion Chest Keys from ch. 1, ch.4 & ch. 6. If you need gold/materials send the reward bags you receive to an alt in the 40 - 50 level range and open them there. That salvage will be a bit more valuable than the stuff you get from the bags at level 80. If it's your first Sylvari and you don't care or need any of the above mentioned things, keep in mind that the first three chapters are race specific and you will get at least some lore about each race that way.
  21. At the moment: gold making via multi-accounting fashion wars world exploration systems exploration (game systems); I'm that kind of person beta-testers and devs hate for gaming their designs. theorycrafting (professions) occasional RP I'm open to the things mentioned by the OP, but I lack a decent guild in the EU that basically plays at US times since it would fit better with my insomnia.
  22. As someone who has a lot of paid GW2 accounts, I think I should add some practical tips that the ANet support didn't mention. The browser itself doesn't really seem to matter as long as you don't over do it with privacy settings. If you lock down privacy settings and use browser addons that help with anonymity, the ANet websites might not work as expected or reject your registration. If you get the unspecified error instantly or within less than 1 second, try switching your IP-address in your router or wait at least 4 hours. Since it seems that this is either caused by the login server's flood protection (which resets after 4h) or the registration service isn't available at the moment. Don't log into any of your other accounts while you wait, additionally delete your cookies and restart your browser before trying to register. Not trying to enter your data at superhuman speed might also help, e.g. wait at least a second between filling out each field of the registration form. Avoid using registering via a mobile IP-address unless it's geo-located close to your usual IP-address you are playing or planning to play. If the locations are too far away from each other, your account will typically be suspended within a couple of days and you have to write to CS (again). If you get the unspecified error after a few seconds and have to actually solve a captcha manually, try a different mail-domain. This usually seems to be a problem at times when GW2 is on sale somewhere or ANet has given out promotional keys recently or both. From my experience there seem to be both some hidden counters for accounts per day/week/month per mail-domain and some scoring system for mail-domains themselves in place in the background. For example: I use four different mail-domains that are registered by myself for my personal and freelance use. I have over 40 accounts on the domain I use for ~10 years now and never have issues to create more accounts within the daily/weekly/monthly limits. However I wasn't able to create a 4th account within a week on a freshly registered domain that wasn't in use for a few years before. While I'm not sure about the exact weekly limit, I've created up to 6 accounts within a day before. However I suggest to keep it at 3 per day if you want to create close to the weekly limit which seems to be somewhere between 15 - 20 accounts. There seem to be more generous limits in place for popular domains like gmail.com or outlook.com, but if dozens or hundreds of people try to create new accounts within a short time, we usually see posts like this appear on the forums. If you plan to add more accounts in the future, consider creating a few F2P accounts beforehand to have them ready to go for new licenses. Log into those accounts at least once and create a character to avoid getting flagged by the internal security sweep when adding a new license.
  23. That's interesting. Two of my alt-accounts are still stuck at 4/6 despite doing the daily HPs round, Wandering Cantha and DE mining, and opening >10 chests pretty much every or every other day for about three weeks now.
  24. After some more testing with my two latest EoD accounts, it seems the time between statuettes increases with the amount of them looted although it doesn't seem to be a fixed timer or chest counter between loot. I suspect, it has more to do with a biased random chance that is influenced by the zone or location of the chest. Some more locations in order of discovery on my last account: Dwayna -> northern part NKC (top level); Jade Tech chest Balthazar -> southern part of DE; Jade Tech chest Grenth -> southern/center part NKC; hidden chest Melandru -> Echovald Wilds at the tree top level south of Aspenwood Gulch; Jade Tech chest
