  1. I'd use an underwater Alpha Drake combat tonic if it granted the same skills and they work underwater.
  2. I suspect the actual question, is "What is worth the resources?"To that I would say a lot has changed since the start of the game and I'd like to see an effort made to verify if things like "account bound" is still as necessary and " we had to move you to another way point and you can't move or do anything until you check OK on this pop up text box" or if an opt out option might be more appropriate or doable now, for several things in the game, and why some things just don't work together or stack together... I guess what I'm trying to say is I believe it would be "worth it" to take a look back and see what might be changed, altered, fixed, improved. I bet there is the potential to make balance updates easier and adjust the overlay to include novelties and mount skills, probably lots of stuff if the time and effort was devoted to it.I believe it took me about 9 months to do the first map completion on a character, about 2 due to map control in WvW, and parts have changed but now, mounts have brought huge changes to map completion and the whole game, in very many ways and now that time has past, a better evaluation can be made and some alterations might be helpful. Things that were not apparent at the start, might be sticking out like a sore thumb to some of the developers now. Unlike a Skritt, I'd pass on the Shiny stuff for awhile, in favor of a look back to make the different parts of the game more solid. I think that would enhance a lot of content.
  3. I don't want to see it happen because of the slowdown in play. If it happens, rewards should be decreased for selecting a harder instance or event mode.Seriously, if your that great a player, and you want a harder mode, you should have to do more for the same reward.Frankly, I don't see how it would work. My enemy dies in easy mode and is laying on the ground or de-spawned, yet yours is still there to keep fighting in harder mode?Short of making it a group choice, I don't get it. If many of the instances become harder due to groups selections, what will that do to player population, or lack there of?No thanks.
  4. Only 7 events are required to gain the final reward. The trick is finding 7 that you can accomplish in the time frame given. Phase 2 and 3 of the stampede are on different parts of the map than phase 1 so if you way point travel to the new spots when they pop, during the start of the 2nd and 3rd phases you can get enough kills without a mount. Not easy but doable, especially after a few days when most players have completed it. I suspect few players will return once completed. The rewards will not likely bring anyone back after completing the achievement.
  5. Because I don't feel a need to prove myself to anyone.Because I know my abilities and where I rank and that no matter how good you are there are always others that are better.Because knowing I can kill someone has no impact on any other part of the game.Because I can turn on my phone or tv or radio and see people being killed any time of the day.Because I get no sense of accomplishment from killing other people.Because there are so many other things I can enjoy in the game and get that sense of accomplishment.Because I don't make friends by killing them. But go ahead and enjoy if it's your thing.
  6. So, what's everyone doing with the essences after completing the shiny and/or extra shiny weapon sets? Is everyone buying more Djinn Energy Clusters in hopes of getting the infusion? Are the Clusters drop chances improved by increased magic find? Last I checked, the drop rate list in the wiki shows no infusions received yet.... Anyone come up with any different MF recipes that use the essences beside the conversion recipe?
  7. I mean, that's the opposite of what GW2 has aimed to be this whole time. Guild Wars 2 is designed in such a way that the gear you have will never become obsolete, and that you'll always have the ability to be at the same max level you were 5 years ago. I have no problem with the rest of your post but Design isn't everything because I clearly remember crafting an ascended short bow in year two and the next day it's skills were completely destroyed in a "balance" update. Never saw any Ranger use one for over 2 years in the game. When I crafted the Predator I used it for most of a year and then power was nerfed for condition damage and it sat on the shelf for almost 2 years. Only saw a few Warriors using a rifle in PvE. A recent balance update made it usable again. Balance updates will always make some items obsolete, but don't delete the item because Balance can take away, but it can give back too.Just saying...
  8. A Dragonfly would be a strong flier and maybe more functional. I'd like to see an underwater alpha drake that swallows your target to soften em up and maybe a big cat with a stalk and pounce, or burst speed cripple mode...Considering how many dyes are available, I think it also might be interesting to create a shape changer that has many areas that can be dyed. Maybe even be able to rearrange or scramble the colors to create a new shape.
  9. I couldn't vote. I tried to vote with none of the options selected but cant. None are desirable to me. The only thing I want from a new expansion is that it does not destroy most previous effort, and core Tyria is protected from it. For example, mounts destroyed the effort expended on Map Completion, among other things, it's a simple stroll now, and mounts are used exclusively on level 15 maps, assuring we lose many new players trying to level up.After the Gift of Battle fiasco, I wont buy anything until I know exactly what I'm spending my money on. The trust is gone. I've played consistently since day 3 and I own both expansions and purchased tons of gems, so don't bother with the "support the game" baloney. I had the most fun in year one, and I'd go back in a second if I could. If you were here, you likely know what I mean. They could surprise me with the next expansion, but I'd just have to wait and see it now first, before I buy.
  10. After checking most of these threads, I see a lot of people commenting that they simply don't understand why these specific changes were made to Warrior the way they were. Would it make a lot more sense if you look at it as not just a balance pass, but also a response to the fact that many warriors were playing successfully, without purchasing the last expansion?I do not know. I'm not claiming that. I don't know all the specific nuances in PvP and WvW, to claim something like that. But, I thought asking the question might generate more understanding.
