  1. I just was thinking about turrets yesterday In addition, also giving them a "recharge" period of, for examle, 60 secs that gets shortened after using ANY tool kit skill would be good. I'd say that an animation that triggers when they're about to become overcharged it's a way to balance them in that case. But you know, ranger pet's can deal big damage from far and animations are not that "predictable"
  2. Also, I'm surprised that they didn't nerf core engineer kits in order to nerf the kitless current Holo meta build in PvP xD
  3. Barrier was very strong in WvW, not only engineer had that problem. The problem is they didn't compensated it with healing or something like that. So, guess, probly we're back to guardian support meta only xD
  4. or at least they should have to stop nerfing them Tool Kit got a hard nerf recently when they removed cd reduction from toolbelt traitline Elixir gun got an slighly buff but isn't enough, the only worthy skills is 4. Flamethrower is dead since years, bomb kit even worse and both last anet interaction was huge nerfs Mortar kit is ok but mostly 'caushe the rest of elite skills are kinda bad (Except holo prism) Elixir gun 1 shots should be faster, 2 shot dmg is pretty bad and easy to dodge. Elixir 4 is pretty good but they should remove the jump. Elixir gun 5 is meh for fighters, but for healers is actually good so probly has to be untouched. Toolkit cds (competitive) should be reduced as its pve version. Toolkit 1 damage is pretty bad for that low range/long cast. 2 cast is also too long, should be reduced. 3 is pretty good on damage, so no buff needed. 5 is also decent. Bomb kit is pretty, pretty bad, there's no wayto make it good without a rework. The toolbelt skill's probly at the level as racial skills. Flamethrower need buffs for condi users And streamedkits trait (Toolbelt traitline )requires a buff: Longer duration; better effects (instead of ss for toolkit, why not stab?, intead of drop gunk on mortar kit, why not orbital strike? and current orbital strike (only available for core engi) skill could be changed for a more useful one
  5. core engi (except old flamethrower)? weaver (except fa)? old herald? tempest skill ceiling is probly the lowest between all specs. the fact that cata/tempest are harder than staff warrior doesn't mean he's hard at all lol Edit: Before we start a senseless argument, let me start saying that difficulty depends on the players. For ME, I wasn't even able to play daredevil, any kind of them, (probly mostly due to I play using action camera). Years ago when I was a meta-slave I enjoyed Sword Weaver. I agree that Ele (Weaver and core overall) deserves more love as for reward/riks playstyle. But we cannot wrap Tempest with them 'cause tempest is a bunker machine of spamming auras/conditions without much effort. that's all. Probly Sword Weaver and 4 kits core engi has been the most button smashers classes that I've ever tried in both, PvP & PvE (and still can't play daredevil tho) I don't like this kind of argues. But If you ask weaver or core buffs I'm with you. Nothing agaisnt ele itself, cheers

I still rooting for a rework on a shortbow Mace Shield is pretty well for PvE; in addition with legendary relic that gives might and fury on cc skills Hammer is better on WvW (Continious Block > Aegis) as for self sustain. Also most of time ppl is runnin' medkit/elixir gun for healing and condi cleanse. Also, Scrapper is already quite inferior to others wvw healers. AAAND WvW needs nerfs on boon span, not buffs. PvP is decent between decent classes. Pretty bad agaisnt busted ones. I'd love to get condi-support ranged since we already have power and power support weapons But as the last buddy said, we're 'tied' on what they want.
  8. I was thinking more in core engi that has been lately my main. Yeah; I could pick nade Scrapper, and Holosmith sword shield as I said. And in fact 've tried them and is easy to get kills in them (I mean agaisnt another meta build if the enemy isn't a veteran) . But as I said; i don't like to be forced to pick a meta option in order to kill another meta option. Ahd you're quite right, Vindicator isn't OP as op says. I know he can be easily killed in 2 vs 1. Also condis hits hard 'em (Funny I can doin' better with core condi engi agaisnt them than when I pick a more 'meta' like Scrapper or Dragon Hunter). I still can beat good players with meta builds in a non meta build; but every update it gets harder. And also I feel the game repetitive: Team comps, gameplay, etc. In the past you could see one shot berserkers trolling out; annoying condition soulbeasts (in a good sense), etc, Now all kitten games have only: The same warrior build, the same reaper build, the same ranger build, the same vindicator build, etc. Why do people would play berserker or herald if they could do it BY FAR better with their meta options? I was pointing out that Power Vindicator is not a problem by itself, the problem is the direction of 'meta defining' classes that the game has taken. I miss when u could pick a non meta class and with effort beat almost everyone (yeah, we always had 1 or 2 broken classes per season) but lately I feel that the game is gettin' more out of control. Not only PvP. WvW is full of boon spamming and berserkers. PvE has now everyone doin' +45k dps without effort, non high risk/high reward relations. And PvP, PowerCreep and CC spam

And with non meta class my max damage is 8k: Zerker + Isgarren + Critic + Vuln stacks on a 15 secs cd skill, easily dodgable (and slow projectile, and can be reflected) + 10% damage bonus from having vigor + 10% damage bonus from trait + 10% damage bonus from not having full energy, with a cast time of 0.5 secs (and an very explicit animation). All of this while I only have 1 stunbreak. All of this while I have to switch between 4 kits, fighting people that can deal the same or more with various skills, not just one, with the same weapon without the need of planning combos. Could I pick the meta version of my profession and fight better agaisnt vindicators, warriors, druids, etc? Yeah, but it's gameplay style is so different that I hate it (hit n run instead of a fighter). I want everyone to be nerffed only for my class? No. I want everything low effort, boon spam, condi fiesta and poweer creep to be slithgly tunned down so ALL non meta classes could get fun too. (Meta is not the same as 'meta' section in metabattle). Get fun ≠ Win MAT; Get fun ≠ Place Plat 2 or above.

It depends on the class, but between ranger, warrior, etc. I think rev is the least op Yeah has a spam of dodges and 10k critics while dodging, and has not much skill learning ceiling, BUUUT condis eat them; they're easily killable in 2 vs 1 (for example, others fighters like good warrior staff players are not easily killable even in 2 vs 1) Imo overall powercreep and cc spam should be tuned down slighlty in order to bring more build diversity than button smashers 10k dmg dealers with no more strategy than uga buga dps; or bunker cc spammers. But certainly Vindi is not the problem, is the consequence,

"just dodge it" number of dodges: 2 - 3 numbers of hard cc and soft cc that warriors, necros, mesmer, etc can apply > 3 (lots of them AoE) numbers of enemies in a common pvp match: 5 So yeah, just dodge those 5 players with their metabattle's build with tons of cc and soft cc. Block doesn't work either 'cause you know spam of unblockable things Example of a normal combat behavior for your non typical spellbreaker, willbender, etc. (you know, you don't like the current 'meta builds' that anet forces has for your class ) You enter in combat, u dodge chill to the bones, u press two skill, then you got ccded 'cause you hit someone with shock aura (shared by a tempest), while you're chilled/feared by a reaper's aoe, then suddenly a DH spears you, so if you decide to block, gg 'cause you still got pulled. Some how you survived, 'cause you managed to it. You run away from the teamfight and go to far. Having a normal duel with a spellbreaker (more like only dodging the staff/hammer cc; 'cause you can land lots of skills, but if he lands one or two cc skills you're dead by the next infinite cc combo); but suddenly a stealthed virtuoso stuns you, throws you lots of unblockable things, and cc's u when u trying to heal yourself (all while you got all ur cds from the spellbreaker staff/hammer fight) "Oh, then go full of stun breaks" and lost all ur damage and other options of gameplay 'cause you know Your class cannot do a sh if you're picking defensive traitline (as for modern teamfighting combat or duels) So, if you can't spam stab like willbender/dh/tempest . spam blocks like willbender/virtuoso/warrior, spam invul like virtuoso, all while you keep your offensive skills to fight, good luck.

It's weird to have condi holo nerfed 'cause he was 'overperforming' and suddenly we have tons of classes with even higher dps, and by far easier to play I don't like the fact of +40k dps in meta. But I don't like the fact of doin' much less dps on a piano rotation neither while the rest is doin' more with few keys to press. By the rest, Power DPS buff is welcomed
  14. Several years ago people also used to run demolisher, valkyre, marauder with toughness runes,; most focused traits in defensive gameplays (how long has been elixir trait out of meta?) Damage got nerfed (hard cc dmg is now null) and then when we had lots of immortal builds, survibality was nerfed too. So, we are almost the same. Power Creep is: getting almost one shoting from stealth; power creep is :classes doing massive damage in aoe with poor trade offs. (what tradeoff do rangers have in using their pets while they're far away? for example) Berserker rifle, for example, has massive damage, BUT his trade off is being an easy target to kill once kitted. Current tradeoffs for broken builds is to pick another broken build. and that's not funny. And powercreep is the tip of the iceberg. Boon spam, CC/Soft CC spam. and the list could keep getting bigger.
