  1. duuuude bladesworn was gonna be so amazing with the new aggressive onslaught, but oh well i guess we just casually had to get stun taken away from unyielding dragon – devastating nerf to a class that was maybe strong in PvP, but severely underperforming in WvW.
  2. Yeah that was poorly worded by me, just wanted to get the point across. Untamed feels very rewarding to play for sure – its very demanding to play, which makes the combos all the more satisfying when you get them off. And yeah it really isn't that weak, especially in 1v1. I've been playing sword/warhorn + hammer for a really long time and it's good enough for romaing for sure. But as others have pointed out, its very limited by your pet dying way too quickly, lack of survivability etc. Do feel free to post your build/any video material you have, would be interested in watching, the build i'm using is on my twitch (check my signature) so feel free to check it out 🙂
  3. Would also be interested in this, i couldnt really come up with anything good but didnt try that many builds. I feel like the only thing cele untamed got going for it is the dagger unleash, but the class doesnt have as much boon output and severely lacks stability (unless you use hammer, which is weird on celestial) so you dont really get as much value off of cele. Feel like cele soulbeast is probably just better
  4. Ive been playing melee power untamed for quite some time and this is very accurate. Took some time to learn, but yes it is quite strong in duels, although cele builds were always a bit of an uphill battle. Roaming was ookay cause you got a lot of stealth and mobility, but also not great because youre playing a full melee ranger that doesnt have strong defensive capabilites (protect me+elite) so you could just get blown up in outnumbered. With fury being taken away, things will just get even harder for an already mediocre build
  5. Nobody, and I repeat, nobody plays untamed in WvW. There are very few people (including me) who play this spec in WvW. Why did the nerf have to carry over to WvW? I understand the class is strong in PvP, but there was no need for this to carry over to WvW..
  6. Very good post. I think many warrior weapon skills haven't mechanically changed in a wayyyy too long time, and it really does show, especially for GS and mace mainhand (DID these skills ever mechanically change?). With these changes, many neglected weapons might see some more play in competitive environments, although your proposed changes for dagger offhand might be a little too much 😄
  7. Title. I feel like this spec is already beyond useless in WvW ever since the elite was changed, and now it doesn't even have stability when using dragon trigger, making it even more clunky. It's rather minor, but I enjoyed experimenting with it and don't think it would break the spec if it got both prot and stability when entering dragon trigger (wouldn't mind only stability either) 🙂
  8. Pretty much this. In WvW, the breaching strike nerf finally made spellbreaker a roamer to be reckoned with, still not on par with broken roaming specs like WB, cele harbinger or SLB, but good. Now the spec is back to mediocre, if not bad. Either bring back at least some of the damage or buff the spec in some other way...

  10. Hey, i think you are definitely on the right track with that build, personally im running around 60% boon duration, so a bit more than you even. A few notes: -Definitely take the 33% chance on crit to gain might ascended food, you hit a lot on willbender and with your amount of boon duration you get good value -I prefer rage sigil over agility, but id say that's personal preference (4,5 seconds of quickness with rage sigil on your setup) -replace sigil of the night with hydro, i think hydro is must on willbender considering you're full melee (chill helps staying on top of enemies) and it also hits (synergy with virtue skills) -I don't think you need stand your ground, on virtues even less so, should have enough stability with f3 alone. I'm experimenting with whirling light instead of smite condition atm as you get more damage, but not sure yet

It's certainly broken in WvW (especially small scale), from what I've seen cele harbinger and specter are super strong as of now, not sure about scrapper post nerf but that one was ridiculous as well. The most obvious solution would be nerfing overall stats, but i'd also be open to them just nerfing the defensive properties (vitality/toughness/concentration/healing power) and keeping the offensive stats the same
  12. Agree with others that this spec is currently not in a very good spot (pvp/wvw wise). I'd love to see fast hands baseline, would mean you're not shoehorned into discipline on every build. I also liked the suggestion from someone else to make f2/f3 ground-targeted, would give you so much more flexibility. I also think F3 needs more projectile speed and aoe in competitive gamemodes. Damage overall is also not good. Also please give back stability on flow stabilizer, just add it to what it currently does really 🙂

I've been running this with plenty success: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PeQAQlFw0YhMPWJOKTeLdA-zVRYVRBhPYoDnRkSgeVAKea0wwG-w It's my core variant I found after lots of experimenting and which I believe is good enough for roaming. Grenades are straight up broken and work pretty well with cele imo, especially with the shrapnel trait. I use tools traitline over firearms; this is not something I really like, but I felt forced to do go for gadgeteer as otherwise you don't have the mobility required for solo/duo roaming (which I do most of the time). Also note that I'm not playing pistol, which makes firearms a lot less attractive for me. Rifle is simply my preferred choice, I can see that p/s might be better, but rifle isn't too bad either, gives you some more mobility and cc. You will lack damage against supps and will probably not be able to kill em (but then again, who can) and you might struggle vs. classes that have heavy range pressure and good mobility (good soulbeasts and DE's will make life hard for you) and you'll probably lose to core nec (cele/power) but that spec is just exceptionally strong in 1v1's from what I've seen. You might also struggle against cele weavers. BUT since you have traited rocketboots, it is most of the time you who picks the fights, so if you find yourself in such a matchup you could just run away if you wanted to :) Other than that, this build beats most melee-centric classes (warriors, revs, reapers, guards etc.), it can also beat condi mirage depending on the player/build (i. e. if they run arcane thievery you lose). Also this build has exceptional mobility so you don't die as often.
  14. Yeah I know, I've been playing on EB prime time and Im aware that there will be 1 zerg, but the rest of the map will be completely dead, and I don't like zerg gameplay
