  2. if your heals are covered its not too hard to make a decent valk build. Ive been trying to theorycraft a good Dragonhunter build for zerging. Problem is trying to find a good balance that fits my playstyle because I do a lot of small scale and roaming as well.

Guard burns do nice damage, but get countered too easily in group fights oh you're talking about a DPS build for zergs?Because we have lots for small scale.Yea there are some great small scale setups. For larger fights support Firebrand is pretty much the standard right now which is a real shame because Guardian can do so much more.

  5. Staff is fine the way it is. What Guardian needs is a useful offensive build and not to be stuck playing support.
  6. While I never supported the idea of mounts in WvW, I do not agree with this suggestion. If you want it, earn it. If you can just rent it anytime then you have no incentive to actually work on the collection and engage in any sort of activity. Rent mount, do some quick daily, and hop out of WvW.
  7. -Scourge changes are an absolute disaster. Death magic remains useless because other traitlines are more important. Boon spam is out of control in WvW and you nerf it more on the one class that could counter it...Necromancer weapon skills already do pathetic damage, why nerf their damage even more? When will necromancers see any weapon reworks? -Warriors Cunning will be way too powerful for a class that already does too much damage and has too much sustain and passive abilities. If another player applies barrier to me, I will take 50% extra damage from Warriors with this trait. That is just ridiculous and outright broken from the start. One killshot or any other overpowered burst skill can eat through any barrier and still do a ton of leftover damage. If a Scourge near me applies a tiny 2k barrier, that modest 10k killshot will now hit me for 15k? This needs to be changed immediately. -Sneak Gyro needs to be either nerfed more or reworked. This skill is an abomination in WvW, allowing entire zergs to stealth for long durations. Longer cd does nothing since you can just rotate Scrappers using it. -Ele changes look decent -Guardian sword would be so much better if the 3 skill allowed movement during casting. Purging Flames change looks good. -Illusion of life needed a good nerf, good change. -CoR needed a damage nerf, and more visible indication so good change. Forced engagement change looks interesting because the current version never lands on a target in WvW.

They are also nerfing Scrapper through Antitoxin runes so it wont be able to generate as many Boons from cleansing Condis Well indirectly, but it will still give boons on cleanses to the person with the runes rather than distributing them to allies. Its a good change dont get me wrong, but its not enough in my opinion. Firebrands are stuck in support roles because they are putting out way too many boons. I understand as well as anyone the importance of boon sharing in WvW, and I still remember the frustration and fallout over the stability nerf. The problem is the current situation is just out of control and it carries bad players and groups that rely on boons rather than actually using proper strategy. Necromancer is really the only class that has been a staple in the WvW meta that can counter boon spam and it is constantly being nerfed, not to mention its already lackluster and nonexistant defensive skills and mobility.
  9. Don't get me wrong, I agree we moved up, but I don't think we are as of yet on par with the other game modes and for a long time we have had players asking for a bit more incentive to winning. Looking for a two prong solution. I play today knowing that winning means just moving up, and I think the core we have left are the same or think on it that it doesn't matter at all. We have accounted for all those people, but I feel we have had others leave because they feel opposite of the core that remains. Some are still in game, so how do we appeal to them. I quite often havoc or roam and zerg surf from time to time, hence I agree with individual rewards but you need server rewards as well to keep people from just going in getting their own personal done and think, ok I am done. Now part of a smaller guild but could also see guild incentives and weeklies that could tie into this system as long as it was scaled on guild size. Afterall once servers are removed we are only left with individual, guild and alliance pride. The random named grouping will be meaningless since it will be dissolved each 8 weeks. With alliances coming sometime between now and when the sun explodes, adding this type of reward system might be feasible, even necessary when its actually released. Since players wont have a static server to play and winning will matter even less than it does now...taking these two important incentives away will leave people with little reason to actually stay engaged in WvW for prolonged periods of time.

  11. Yeaaaah you transferred to an already winning BG, don't be lecturing others about game ethos mmkay I transferred to BG 5 years ago when it was losing every match up and didn't defend anything. Remember push weeks that went on like every two months or so? I think its kind of ridiculous when people complain they cant win when they don't bother to even play. If you do not care about points, that is perfectly fine but don't complain about losing to someone that does. Yeah that was called manipulating glicko so all 3 servers stayed in t1, hence glicko wall.Yes both matchmaking systems allow servers to play in preferred tiers, glicko was just slower to adjust which allowed servers to go weeks without winning. If a server is purposely not playing to win, that is perfectly fine. I play for fights, I personally dont care about losing stuff if I can get fights out of it. People have different playstyles and preferences and need more incentive to stay actively involved in WvW.

  13. just cast f3 before you press f1, now it applies barrier to 10 allies in melee range before dealing damage to 10 enemies at 900 range. That's the only playstyle change for a massive increase in both support and damage if they go live with this. the only effective change you'll see is not being able to barrier with f3 on melee targets while you have a shade active. Instead, you use sand flare to barrier for the second push with wells. then on the third push your shade has expired so you can f3, f1, f2/4/5 for another big bomb. Every push gets barrier, every push deals great damage, shade bombs become even stronger while well bombs remain just as effective. If your group has good coordination and runs 2 scourges per party, which they will with this patch, 1 scourge shade bombs while 1 uses wells, swap roles for each push. That is not the only change, it also affects traits related to shades like cleanses on barrier application. Not everyone runs in a group, this will severely hurt players not in a squad and make Scourges even more reliant on firebrands for support.
  14. Many of us have been complaining about perma stealth since the early days, and anet just adds more of it. Maybe if we make threads asking for more stealth they might actually balance this garbage mechanic.

  20. I have never personally been in favor of rewarding servers for winning. I prefer rewarding individual progress and activity. I think the current system is really good and gives us pretty much most if not everything we need. We have reward tracks, can earn ascended gear, and can even make legendary armor not to mention a lot of other things we can acquire. I can still remember the older days when you could spend an entire night in WvW and never have to clean your inventory because you barely received any loot or rewards.

I will try to be as objective as possible here since Scourge is my main class in WvW, well Necro in general has been for years. -The current problems with WvW Meta- Boon spam, CC spam, Stealth Spam -Problems with Necromancer Class- Lacks defensive abilities, relies on offense and group support. Weapon skills are pitiful and frankly pathetic. Too many single target skills, and they are really all long due for an overhaul, especially Staff. -Problems with Scourge- This is a necessary spec in WvW to counter blobs and boon spam. Scourge has been nerfed many times with damage reduction, increased cooldowns, and reducing boon corruptions. What this does is force groups to use more Scourges to counter enemy groups. Scourge shade skills are weak on their own and can only kill anything when spammed, this is the fundamental core issue. Those shade skills are also tied to the Scourges defense like barrier and cleanses. With the removal of Shroud as a second health bar, it forces Scourges to play more offensively. Reducing the barrier provided by a Scourge makes little sense since the player has to rely on it for defense and has to rely on Healing power on buff it, since there is no second health bar as with Shroud and few defensive abilities. -A better solution would be to reduce the barrier applied to Allies. Weapon skills are already weak, no need to nerf them even more. Boon corruption is a necessity in WvW as one of the few counters to groups spamming and stacking boons and being unkillable. This carries bad players and just ruins the fun in fights when enemies can reapply and stack boons and instantly heal up to full while also instantly resurrecting allies. On a side note, Stealth gyro needs to be removed from the game. Seeing an entire zerg going invisible, freely moving around, for such a long duration is one of the most absurd things I have ever seen. This is an absolute failure in terms of design and balancing. Increasing the cd will not improve anything, since you can just rotate which Scapper uses it. The skill itself needs to be completely reworked.

Simple concept similar to Champion rush going on in pve currently. -Each player you kill rewards a player with a Mark of the Hunter.-Marks can be traded in for rewards from a vendor in WvW.-While Outnumbered, you receive 2 marks per kill.-Combine with the other stuff like Reward track, Magic find, and other boosts like with other events.-Bonus loot boxes in the last Diamond Skirmish Chest. Thoughts?
