  1. Looking forward to trying out the specs with all these new changes. Not sure if I like harbinger elixers being ground targeted though.
  2. I have always favored encouraging active participation when it comes to rewards. There should be a sense of progression whether it's rewards or map design or whatever. These changes were a step in the right direction. I think a way to help newer players could be to increase the committed pip bonus to give players more pips each week for each tier that they finished the previous week. For example- Wood-1 Bronze-2 Silver-3 Gold-4
  3. Had this issue after updating, it basically locked up my computer, just showed my desktop with the game minimized and running in the background but I could not click on anything. Quick fix was to hit ctrl+alt+delete and sign out then relaunch the game, it worked after that.
  4. Restructuring a game mode is no easy task and will undoubtedly impact many players to some extent. For some it will be good, for some it will be terrible. I think it will be a work in progress even after its actually implemented because it wont be a smooth transition by any means. Eventually the major structural problems will be sorted out, and players will get used to it and will hopefully lead to a better experience for everyone.
  5. Yea we just gonna have to wait until EoD launches to see the final results. Balance changes, mechanic updates etc. I am sure they will make changes in the next couple of months before, and after launch.

  7. Virtuoso is a generic spec in my opinion and I personally don't think it offers any practical advantage over Chronomancer in WvW. But it offers a more fun way to play, and that's what will probably appeal to people. I see as one of those...tired of my main, try something different today kind of things.
  8. When I tried out Specter, I targeted a guy and just by using auto attack I was able to get to 40 Rot Wallow stacks and maintain 50% barrier w/o any healing gear. Now granted this was in Lions Arch and we were not in combat, but I was still kind of shocked by how easy it was. Here is what I am concerned about when it comes to Specter and WvW...Can multiple Specters tether to the same ally? If that is possible, just imagine how powerful that could be for buffing up commanders before a fight and making it easier to maintain a permanent barrier. Even if you can only be tethered to one Specter, you can still buff and ally out of combat which is powerful by itself. So yea a lot of potential issues with Specter.
  9. Personally I think specter will see more use in small roaming groups where it will be easier to target and support party members while also putting out some damage. I predict that celestial will be the favored stat choice for that role. There will definately be a few in organized groups. Again it all depends on the final balance when they split the numbers between game modes. I cant see it having as big an impact as Scourge though, at least before it was nerfed to death.
  10. I wouldnt mind hammer if they increased the range on the skills and buff some of the damage. I dont understand why water skills are in melee (130). I cant see myself using catalyst with its current mechanics unless they make major changes.
  11. I dont know if this has been mentioned before or if it already exists...I have a bunch of boosters I never use but would if I could extend their duration. I would love something like a Booster Primer like we have with food/utility conumables.
  12. The new specs seem cool, and I like that Anet is trying to change things up with each profession except Untamed which is just uninspired, generic, and disappointing. Personally I don't find them all that practical and cant see myself switching from hot/pof specs. Harbinger and Specter will likely see some use in WvW but we will have to see how they split the skill balance numbers between game modes. I can see some value for Virtuoso. In their current state I don't see them offering anything over their hot/pof counterparts aside from Harbinger and Specter.
  13. Im playing a glassy ele who dies when someone sneezes on me and I love no downstate! Healing, rezzing, and downstate need massive nerfs in WvW.
  14. Great changes announced in that blog post! Outnumbered pip boost was nice sure but it encouraged a lot of players to just tag and afk on a map. Removing the participation grace time for repairing is great and hopefully stops people from draining supply simply to keep participation up. Adding extra rank based pips...LOVE IT! This will really help me finish skirmish tracks with my limited play time much more quickly. Also hoping to see some tweaking of participation awarded for siege use. These updates encourage active play and progression and are the right steps to take. Cant wait for these changes to go live, great job Anet!
  15. That is some beautiful art. Zhaitan was very well designed with so much detail in the game. I wish we saw more of Primordus, not happy with how that ended 😖

  17. The Halloween festival was my first Guild Wars event over 12 years ago back in GW1. I still remember getting all excited when Mad King Thorn picked me out in Kamadan to play rock, paper, scissors. I look forward to it and Wintersday all year. I love the decorations, atmosphere, music, activities etc. Side note, I hate Gourdgrinder 😡
  18. Do people not understand what a BETA TEST is? Its meant to identify problems so they can be fixed. They are trying to completely overhaul and rework an entire game mode, did you really think it was going to go smoothly right away?
  19. Long needed change. I was doing one of the recent return to living story missions (Forearmed Is Forewarned) and got instantly kicked out of the instance for using a teleport skill that landed me outside the playable area. Luckily I was able to continue from a checkpoint and did not have to restart the entire mission.
  20. What am I curious about is how the guilds individual members WvW activity levels will impact their guilds matchups. For example, a guild where every member marks it as their WvW guild, but their activity levels vary. If this guild has more members that are in the low activity levels would that determine their placement in a matchup?
  21. So hypothetically one guild can fill an entire alliance slot? I am curious now as to what takes priority when placing players in alliances, our guild choice or our activity. So let's say a guild has 500 players, they all choose it as their WvW guild, but activity levels vary from high to low. I know this is a highly unlikely possibility, but its more about curiosity as to how the system works.
  22. Personally I did not like the skills flipping between alliances after use, I would prefer a way to keep one set of skills at a time. Eternity's Requiem states a duration of 9 seconds, but it seems to only last for one. Traits are lacking, and too focused on endurance and F2 usage. I never like to spam dodges to get some effect from them, it should be situational in my opinion. The traits seem to encourage a lot of constant flipping between legends and there are other related traits that can present some synergistic builds, but for me this is not practical.
  23. I tried the DX11 beta last night and it made everything look very dull and the game looked very dark, the gamma slider did not work. It also dropped my fps by 10-15 frames. Had to turn it off.
