  1. It's -40% damage reduction vs 10%, not 0. And if any amount of concentration scales mega well with those two traits (although scaling with Powerful Aura is questionable), so does using Elemental Bastion. Soothing Ice provides additional healing and Powerful Aura allows you to also heal allies. And you can still see deadeyes 1shot themselves to death, you just have to provide magnetic aura yourself instead of having a trait do so. After all, Imbued Melodies is not the only source for magnetic aura. Looking at your other posts in his thread, it feels like you're overreacting. These changes will neither kill Tempest or dramatically change it.
  2. I agree the first strike mission is a bit too easy and could use a bit higher difficulty, but T4 is way over the top. Why then create them in the first place instead of creating a new fractal? Sure, with only one boss strike missions at T4 difficulty would be faster than a fractal, but the difficulty would be so high that most players that don't bother with raids wouldn't bother with strike missions either. Besides that, players who want to play something with T4 fractal difficulty can go and exactly do that: do fractals at T4 difficulty. Players who want to play something easier will do strike missions. Fractals and strike missions are meant for different types of players. No need to force one of these two things to become the other.
  3. No, it's just those ten skills you see at the bottom. As long as you're out of combat, you can switch your weapons and utility skills, but that's it.
  4. I don't expect to see an Elder Dragon having the powers of those who were already defeated anymore. They can only gain these powers if a Dragon's magic flows back into the magic network, which should not be happening again if we don't mess up. Primordus and Jormag had their magic drained by Balthazar, so they shouldn't be able to use Zhaitan's or Mordremoth's powers anymore. Kralk's magic was absorbed by Aurene before it could flow back into the magic network and possibly be absorbed. So, I guess Jormag and Primordus will only have their own powers. Especially since were not allowed to kill an Elder Dragon without someone absorbing the magic and taking the dragon's place. Bubbles is a wild card here, because it might have absorbed some of Zhaitan's and Mordremoth's magic when they were killed.
  5. Yes, there is another dragon which apparently doesn't show up to their elder dragon meetings or official photo sessions. What a rebel! So we only know that he is the deep sea/water dragon and that his name starts with "S...".
  6. Yeah, the magazine is awesome. Some new details regarding the prologue episode and a bit of world building. Didn't expect to learn about the dragon spheres that have been unknown so far (like fury for Kralk), so that was a really nice surprise. Additionally, the end of the text on page 5 picks up up where the end of season 4 left us and indicates that we still have a lot to learn about the dragons. I'm even more excited about the new season/saga now. And they even put in some funny stuff like the love story between Rytlock and Logan. =)
  7. I think they did it because that behaviour was never intended anyway. From a design point of view it doesn't make sense for the camera to have any effect on the distance traveled. Not only in GW2, but any game. Why should it? It's just the camera position, the point of view. Not a physical thing that could actually hinder your movement.
  8. It is listed in the second, shorter post on the patch notes. Really nice QoL update. Although I didn't have any trouble doing that step of the collection before, I'm still happy for those that did and who can now proceed with getting the skyscale.
  9. If you look closely, you can see the PC already standing in front of the group before Aurene starts her flight, right after her transformation. Probably some sort of teleportation.
  10. I agree that Druid is strong and slightly better when it comes to support, but it's not like there are worlds between them. Tempest, too, provides Fury, 25 Might and regen for the group. While Druid provides protection, Tempest provides vigor. Tempest can also share the aura effects with the group. While the fire, frost and shock aura might not seem as strong as a group wide magnetic aura at first, they still add up. It's additional CC, Burning and damage reduction, after all. And there are a lot of players out there who don't care about endgame meta compositions as long as they get the content done, even in T4 fractals. I did quite a few T4 runs in full celestial gear and groups without a Druid, and never had trouble or have been kicked or something like that. Quite the opposite, a few people even said stuff like "always good to have an auramancer". Sure, those runs weren't as fast as runs with meta compositions, but they weren't significantly slower, either.
  11. Give Tempest specced for support a try. There are enough groups out there who will appreciate the support, especially in higher fractals, since it not only allows the rest of your group to focus on dealing damage, but also increases it by giving might and fury. If at some point you feel like going for a bit more damage and still have nice healing, you could still give a full set of celestial gear a try.
