  1. They should apply this to all classes, makes no sense why the passive was removed just for necro, then lets see how much uproar this causes. I have no confidence in this balance team. Guardian:https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Perfect_Inscriptions Mechanist: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Mech_Core:_J-Drive Elementalist: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Written_in_Stone
  2. So I just noticed the last "hot fix" moved Parasitic Contagion to the 2nd column and replaced it on the 3rd/grandmaster column with Terror. Are there any notes regarding this change/why this was moved around? Even their wiki isn't updated for this which makes this more mysterious. Edit: Correction, the wiki for each trait was updated but the traits for the corruption page still has not been updated: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Curses Edit: NVM, I dont know how to delete a post but I found it in the notes finally.
  3. Useless for anything other than a power build. As a scourge who dabbles in harbinger now and then, I would never wield them; No cleanses and still susceptible to reflects. Not sure what the intended build is for these.
  4. I vote to let us sell the frivolous chattering teeth/nougat/skulls garbage items for a pass to the top. JP designers will have a special place in hell for the people they wronged.
  5. Also getting this. I feel like it started happening when the Halloween patch dropped. There's significant issues in targeting (I'll target an NPC but my character still attacks the old target, sometimes 2 attacks later it switches), half my regular skills require hitting them twice before they work, queuing skills is gone as well. Its extremely noticeable when there's a lot of NPC's around (Nebo Terrace/Mad King Labyrinth), so Im guessing this is some server lag issue going on.
  6. After you slog through the long winded story, eventually you end up at the Wizard's Ascent map. After you clear the 4 portals, there's a lot more talking to endure then you go inside and deal with some more talking, and eventually Frode will have something over his head but this isn't shown on the minimap. Click on him and he basically unlocks it right there.
  7. In terms of the Signet of Suffering necro nerf, be consistent and apply this to Perfect Inscriptions, Mech Core: JDrive, and Written In Stone and then lets see how well received this goes. It's also upsetting there is not 1 reply from ArenaNet staff on any feedback sent pre or post patch. Some great suggestions and explanations on how to better fix the combat / why these changes are not fun to play are littered all over the Profession forums. The staff claim to be listening but clearly just ignoring. At a minimum just a simple explanation why each drastic change is occurring is not much to ask for, would go a very long way so we can try to understand the reasoning vs assuming the imbalance devs are randomly throwing a dart at a classes trait line and nerfing where it ends up...
  8. Never, in the 11 years of playing GW2 have I encountered such sloppy and reckless profession changes. Tweak the numbers as much as you want, just give me my signet of suffering abilities and 20 sec shades back and I'll be content. But neutering the entire professions and core abilities to be replaced for gimmicky gameplay for a boon that I don't need or want is one of the most insane decisions I'll never understand. Do the devs not realize this game has been alive for over a decade because it had fun and unique combat? I'm not interested in constantly hitting a button every xxx second to trigger xxx result. This game was amazing because typically you use the abilities as they are needed, NOT to needlessly waste abilities just to trigger a boon. Now I'm fighting more with my characters "rotation" than with the enemy I'm trying to attack. This didn't go well for WOW and they had to release classic to bring the players back to the fun combat vs the mindless homogenized rotations. Adding insult to injury is trying to peddle an expansion after this disaster -- good luck with that. Even worse doing this right before a long holiday break for the US players with the only slight and unknown hope for janky band-aid fixes coming in WEEKS.
  9. I'm also getting a full set of random statless PvP gear that I can't sell or salvage littering my inventory since logging in today. Saw nothing in the upgrade notes and found this forum. Not sure if I should toss it or save it, I've never played PvP, just WvW and PvE.
  10. The problem for me is the lack of character progression. PoF was all about the new mounts, which was a huge quality of life improvement that applied nearly everywhere. Then we had new amazing elite specializations that made you feel stronger. EoD is almost the exact opposite. Fishing, Skiff Piloting, etc... None of these help my character or make any form of quality of life improvement in the regular gameplay. All riddled with gimmicky mechanics on top of it. Speaking of gimmicky.. the new elite skills, which are so bizarrely put together. The ones I've tried like Harbinger and Vindicator; I'm either killing myself to gain DPS or im flip flopping between skills which I might not even want to use. Clunky. If they offered a refund for this expansion I would take it in a second as there is nothing introduced that I would be even slightly upset if it was taken away. Compare that to the PoF expansion.. you would have to pry the reigns from my dead body before I would ever give up my raptor/jackal mounts.
  11. Coming back to this game after 2 years... Combat with the elite skills is clunky, need 10 fingers on my left hand just to dodge and use the new abilities. Gameplay just wasn't as fun anymore since it was mostly getting knocked down and flooded by roaming mobs right and left, meanwhile trying to mash 4 new keys that aren't even close to the WASD keys really got annoying. The gating though masteries / XP is always a poor and lazy design for any game, im surprised this game skidded into that route since I never experienced this in the original game. For some reason on my main necro I wasn't able to get enough mastery points to get the 2nd mount and just got stuck. Oddly on my guardian this was not an issue but having to replay the excruciatingly slow storyline again and wait around for the ridiculous amount of talking was the largest challenge so far. The mounts are nice and something new, but it just felt they were more for adding to the annoying jumping puzzles / quests than anything else (which is why I left this game in the first place -- I HATE jumping puzzles). I felt the graphics were amazing as usual, but the gameplay, grindiness, and confusing build setup kills the enjoyment I once had for this game.
