  2. I literally, was excited... then I remembered I posted about alliances for years before they actually did anything even to the point where the meme was ded, my hopes are low. I am more worried they will half way release alliances and say it's the best they ever done like red BL on HoT launch and will finally be the nail in the coffin for wvw for me. Because ANET never does what they said in their post. iteration. Even with them saying it, it's Collin, and we all know he is all hype, no follow through in a timely manner.
  3. Rewards- Give me a way to get purple in every hole in WVW, including weapons, even if not flashy like armor, make it a long term goal that I can grind without time gate if I want. Some weeks I have an hour of play time per day, others I have 8-10, give me enough that I can't grind it out all at once but if I choose to, I can do it over a few times every so often. Leaderboards- Gw2mists leaderboards have made it fun to watch WvW from a different view; bring that to the game. With alliances coming, give individuals goals and rewards based on their effort. Top kills for the match, for the month, or top PPT for the week or month, and give those groups and individuals groups rewards for it. Top PPT'er and PPK'er for the month. Legendary Item, and or title for a month. Top guild gets a gold prize, top player in guild get etc. and do it by size guild/group of 400-500, 300-400, 200-300,100-200,50-100, and under 50. make the reward just as good for the small guild/group as the large one. Also could have a best all around guild, alliance, person, average out all areas for top for the match, week, etc. This to me would give an idea of "winning" no matter what tier you are in. Match-making- one up one down is too volatile for only 4 tiers, it makes it too easy for a single group to not play for the week and control it for easy empty keep farms the next week, I would like to see the old Gold, Silver Bronze system come back but with room for population change to remove tiers as needed. glicko is based on individuals with their stats included for the match, so if they move to another alliance, the glicko will adjust, if they don't play for that whole match then the glicko adjusts until they return. new players have a negative glicko and PPT and PPK grinders bring it up. Off Hour Coverage- Right now off hour PPT is what gets top tier, it's not skill, 2 out of the 3 groups in T1 NA is just because of that. How can we fix this? Idk, Over the years players have grouped up more and more by when they play to dominate empty keeps, I think only the players can choose to divide themselves for actual competition; Maybe there's a way? Maybe less points for capturing if it was undefended from the other team or was outnumbered during that skirmish?ideas? I think 500 people is too big for an alliance or a guild IMO, because all people in that timezone end up overwhelming it and pulls away from good competition at the sake of easy play. I honestly think an alliance should not be able to Queue all 4 maps, maybe 225 ish max per alliance and "WvW" guilds should be no more than 50. we have 5 guild slots now, maybe add 2 more, one for WvW guild and another for Alliance. The issue I see with this is that large guilds would just make 5 guilds and be in the same alliance, so it's not a perfect thought I am having. Yes groups would be split, but that isn't bad IMO, only makes the competition fun in the long run. Sometimes guilds split into smaller groups to test themselves and the stake of friendly competition. Most big pug tags have alts now anyway. slip your blob at the sake of actually having to try. Yes your Community will not be the same with alliances, but it has not been the same since release, build new relationships and enjoy your time in the mode. Don’t fear the change, WvW has been ignored for far too long. Make the best of it and have fun defending Middle Fort.
  4. We fight on the field of battle, but the best part of this game is the people and friendships we meet along the way and is the reason I keep playing WvW.   6. It's Almost like ANET gave us a vote on it and we chose to remove the map and they gave this. It's almost like ANET asked the community to vote on the length of the linking and we voted on 1 month and they gave us 2. It's almost Like ANET acts like they care but REALLY DON"T CARE. Linking has been in BETA since it was put in but made them money with the bandwagon so they left it. Give them an option to remove it and make money... they may do it. Just Like adding mounts to WvW... something none of the regular wvw'ers cared about but anet put to make money and milk the player.

After looking over all the changes carefully, after the balance, I would like to see some of the cast times of skills that combo together with crowd-control skills looked at and the type of weapons being used be changed to fit the new use. Such as making warriors backbreaker a lower cool down with less knockdown time so that it hits, say, 3 targets with a larger range to hit easier to make the cool-down " skill 2" function work more fluently in the absence of the damage being lost to the weapon. Another topic is the gear; currently in WvW has not really changed since the release of HoT. It's time for some PvP stats that help balance out WvW such as Minstrel gear without healing power and replaced with power. Gear stats for WvW and less focused on PVE raids. Trailblazer gear and Dire gear need some counters because of the combination of traits and toughness that they can still be able to do burst corruptions/condition bombs with no need to put stats into modifiers like expertise/ or precision because of the pulsing of the skills, and or spam from so many players.Also one skill I think that was overlooked was Ghastly Breach, the amount of corruption it does is a bit much for one skill, I'd say reduce its time on the ground and pulses. Yes, I know it's an elite skill, but the soft CC, plus damage 3.0 modifier, plus torment, plus corruptions, plus corruptions to boons make it a bit more powerful than many of the other elites that hard CC and do no damage now or give out boons and then go on huge cooldowns. just pull it back to everything else. On Scourge... please make it the support, barrier, condition clear, heal class that it should be. even with all the nerfs in the past, if played right, can still support with barrier and do massive DPS (not good to me). should have the trade-off of no DPS to support by giving barrier. On Revenant make the Ventari table be like gyros on scrapper when you active the "6" Skill, it would stay above you where ever you go, using the 6 skill again moves the tablet with the use of energy to a location for a short duration then resets. utility and elite skills can be used when the tablet is above you or at a location. On Soulbeast... give it a place in WvW zergs with Stance share... make the radius much larger of stances and let allies receive the full buffed trait to the duration of stances. I wanted this to be a thing when PoF dropped but never happened. On Chronomancer give it a role with boon ripping and buffing allies in WvW with wells that rip boons and give a short duration of a boon at the location of the Chrono like 600 radius to 5 players. Make each well do different boon groups to match the skills flavor. On Firebrand make the pages less with shorter cooldowns into the tomes, or initiative where you have to build something up before going into the tomes then have a short-timer while in the tomes then thief initiative while in the tome; making some skills use more initiative or "pages" while in the tome with no cooldowns but stronger skills remove you from the tome quicker by using more pages. You would have to build stacks to re-enter the tome. F1 could have something to do with burning an enemy, F2 could be healing and or cleansing, F3 could be blocking. It could show on buff bar stacking to say 25 and then each tome could open separately depending on your actions out of the tomes. Yes, I know scrapper is still a thing, but it is unhealthy that it will be holding back the ranged condition meta alone because of the reduced cleanses on every other class. Yes, I know light fields are a thing but are unreliable to most groups because of random people not following or coordinating. How many times do I get might stacks when trying to blast stealth? Yes, I know resistance is still a thing but reduced boons in the patch and could be buffs to condition builds with corrupts or boon rips such as condition revenant may or may not change the tide. We will have to wait and see and I'm open to that. Overall, I am happy with the direction and initiative that the competitive team is making and hope they fundamentally overhaul the meta of WvW. This all above is just somethings I would like to see. I play all classes and builds and I hope we can have a role for every class and play style of that class in WvW zerging or as a havoc group.   10. Almost to the day; another year has gone by since this announcement. In this amount of time, ANET could have made a competitive pack with Alliances, PvP and GvG rolled into one mini-expansion or standalone game. Sad to see with the biggest games on the market being PvP oriented, and that ANET did not capitalize and give the resources to these game modes that deserve it so much. I still love GW2 and will still play(<3 Ben P., Cal, Ray), but what most veteran players see that I talk to, is that lost potential now. I really hope that you all can blow our minds in the future, but this amount of time has made me lose all trust in restructuring for now.

Roll Back Gear Stats and Elite Specializations to Pre-Fall 2014, keep current traits for vanilla specs.Create New Stats Sets that do not Power Creep WvW and introduceRelease Alliances in full.Rebalance skills and Traits for HoT Elite specs with “test” weekends Reintroduce HoT Elite Specs Back to WvWBalance PoF Specs for WvW again with “test” weekendsReintroduce PoF Specs Back to WvWIn the above incorporate ideas, in general, I have had Make fields great againMake finishers great againMake Conditions Specific to a spec or class with 1 damaging condition, one soft cc, one hard cc of a type.Make reapplication of Conditions higher for single target skills with less damage and much lower for multi-target skills using longer cooldowns, or only apply damaging conditions on a “Final Charge”system with a cap of 10 for damaging conditions.Get rid of Gear types from PvE, make critical hit chance 100 % across the board Make Fury counter Soft CC and Stability only counter Hard ccMake Damaging conditions and CC on separate bars.Make Condi Clear, clear Damaging conditions only; make it back to the level pre-Hot where one skill normally cleared one condition for your group maybe 2 with shout runes.Make all Stunbreaks Clear hard CC and Immobilize Revert to old Stability and reduce the amount of its output in skills.Make Specializations, specialize in certain boons, but NOT ALL OF THEM, and if they give more than 3, the time should be very short with high uptime or very long for less uptime. Make Vulnerability at a lesser amount and add it to all conditions in some form and remove it from being its own thing.Remove Boon corrupt and make it into boon rip across the board.Make things like herald boons pulsing into charges and give boons on charge 1 then damage on 2nd with larger boon.Make Scourge a Support class and be Barrier and boon rip class like it should have been in the first place.Make FB tomes Less powerful and in turn, reduce the amount of time it takes to go into them make tome 3 do physical damage/tank to balance it from being so much all in on support as a role.Make every class have a way to be a zerg class, a small group class, and a roamer class. I wanted soul beast to be a Melee support class with the stances so bad, but the stances just couldn't take FB but with maybe 10 man stances and traited for 200% time on allies with a 600 radius; maybe?<--- things like that to get it to have a strong place and do something no other elite spec. could have with all the power creep. Give Heal Rev. the Scrapper treatment in WvW ( gyros to tablet).Make Chrono Into a boon ripper with wells etc. to give more utility to it after all the nerfs.Make AOE’s Smaller the more damage they do; lava font should be skill 5, and meteor shower should be skill 2 AOE size regardless of cast time. This would give you a chance to dodge higher damage skills and lesser for more damage. If you are over 900 range away from your target, the damage should have a lower return. Yes, you can hit someone from 1500 away but it should hit like a mace one on minstrel FB no matter what gear;(wet noodle).
