  1. Condi thief doesn't have spammable stealth. Where do people get this from? ..dagger 5Well P/D rotation after steal is usually going to be Shadow Strike followed by repeater which is 6 initiative. So out of 15 initiative that leaves them with 9. That is provided they hit their shadow strike, and also dont use dancing dagger. At best they can use it once IF IT HITS for a lousy 3 seconds of steal which they will make use out of with sneak attack which debuffs them with reveal and leaves them with little to 0 initiative. BUT WAIT IF SHADOW STRIKE HITS ARENT THEY OUT OF MELEE RANGE? WHY YES THEY ARE! Which renders CnD completely useless as a way to access stealth. TL;DR you are so hilariously wrong.

  3. I mean as Vallun pointed out. What the thief is going to do has pretty big tells other than Shadow Strike. If you see the thief stealth. You know it will be following that up with a sneak attack. So you have the following options.Dodge the attack because you can see the projectilesLOS if you are near terrainDepending on where thief is distance wise due to range of pistol you can probably just kite out the stealth. Except that lately the servers are laggy af, and you can't properly counter play cheese strikes from stealth like this.I haven't experienced any skill lag or lag in general at all. So if you have I am sorry. I cannot personally touch on that point.
  4. I agree with this, its a pretty straight forward broken build that is extremelly easy to play and has maximum impact in any match at the moment. There are bigger problems than condi thief lol. Stack Rev, Stack Necro, Stack Soulbeast and just laugh your way to victory. Once the community adjusts to how this build is played it won't be as effective. As far as it stomping noobs. Well that is a good and bad thing.

  6. I disagree with a cast time on Shadow Strike. You already have on on CnD. It will just make the weapon set clunky as hell compared to D/P, D/D, Staff, Shortbow. The other stuff is perfectly fine. EDIT: Anyways inb4 initiative cost increase.
  7. P/D is best hands down. Sorry to ruin your day. D/D is straight up trash in PvP. I think the only other condi build that was around for a bit was S/D dodge spam with daredevil but that IIRC was nerfed awhile ago.
  8. According to the PvP forums we are completely OP because we had a build win ATs LMAO
  9. So what you are saying is that you allow thieves to spam 3 and kill you? You don't dodge? You don't close the 600 distance on the tele? You dont counter pressure with any damage? You don't LOS? You literally sit there and watch them kill you? Yea sounds like a learn to play issue there buddy. EDIT: I guess I can assume you close the distance since they would have to hit you repeatedly with P/D 3 to spam tele.
  10. Can we not nerf a build that is actually performing decently that has counters? The P/D build for example isn't as slippery as a D/P thief if you you know they are around. Also it does not have as much condi cleanse built in as D/P so it lives and dies by the condi.
  11. The sad part is is that Thief requires too much mental capacity for most players to learn how to play around it.
  12. The build is p/p condition with bound and Sa w/ the life leech on blind. What you do is black powder bound for stealth and than stealth attack in blind field repeat and possibly try and 1 shot ppl w/ thief’s guild +venoms. Decent at memeing ppl in 1v1s for sure as has decent condition + a little power and crazy amounts of blind stealth a life leech If they are complaining about a meme build that is even more hilarious actually.
  13. So recently a few of my friends returned to the game and we played PvP this weekend. Sadly unranked since there isn't team ranked and an AT was not active at the time. I saw a lot of necros I assume meme running minion power. This brought up the question. Do minions count as targets for skills? IIRC most AoE skills can target up to 5 targets. Are minions counted in that?
  14. Maybe, maybe not. I think the reality is more so 'Blame anyone but yourself'. Thief is the easiest target in that match sure, but I assure you those people that are that petty are blaming any teammate but themselves in the next game whether there is a thief on their team or not.
  15. How about you don't stand in the pulsing AoE? We can't spam blind lol. I assume you are talking about Dagger/Pistol both skills that cause blind use 5-6 initiative which is a chunk of our pool. We can't spam it at all. Else we won't have any initiative to use other skills when needed.
  16. Seems like S/D will be the only viable build again? D/P Core seems to have gotten hit pretty hard. Sad panda.
  17. Is now, On the Menu to be served up to the chopping block lolBroken now with the recent buffs its seen lol. SHHHHHHHHHH don't let them know!
  18. Ability to stick to target.Ability to stealthy self with HS hopsAbility to stack team stealth with BP and ClusterAbility to punish spell spam/casters in generalAbility to prevent stompsAbility to mind trick opponent Not to mention skill needed to spot which skills to interrupt. Definitely one trick pony though.
  19. I mean I don't get why examples are not taken from other games. Ubisoft for BOTH Division 1 and 2 brought in their top players both skill wise and completion wise to help balance the game etc.
  20. Core D/P is actually viable in very same way old DrD D/P was, without loss of dmg or mobility compared to DrD.(technically speaking in regard to build x build comparison, you have to keep in mind that Meta is also different and as such range of Swipe doesn't play a role in match environment, what plays a role is the number of instances/scenarios in which D/P can land its burst or do stealth decap which is not as affected by the build itself but rather by enemy builds, eg: invuls, block spam, blind spam, long reveals, etc. In short: Yes, Swipe makes it more difficult, but it doesn't make any difference what range you attack from when your target is randomly farting negating effects, making Swipe 900 would not change D/P viability in current Meta) I guess I am fond of DD D/P vs Core. But if Core is viable I would more than likely try the build out if you have one. I also miss short hopping heartseeker. Good ol days. 1) First Build 2) Second Build For the Second build you can use Assassin's Signet instead of Signet of Agility and Prepare Shadow Portal over Blinding Powder, basically the same Utillity set as for the First build. Especially Assassin's Signet is very good to swap to since you will get ... just enough Condi Clense from Stealth. Also for the Second Build you can take Rending Shade over Shadow's Rejuvenation however it can get quite bothersome if enemy gets Feared and you'll need to chase it, especially if you miss Steal and thus won't have Swiftness. First Build can not do without Basilisk Venom, don't bother taking Dagger Storm over it. Second Build can take Dagger Storm for about the same viability, but it depends on the scenario. Use your Heal outside combat, that's why the Rune of the Centaur is there, trust me you will have extremely hard time if you don't take this Rune or won't use the Heal for swiftness. You need to use it only when you go decap, no need to use it in combat just to stick to target it will either come naturally or Shadow Shot will take care of the sticking to target, however in case of the First build your target won't be alive longer than 1 or 2 seconds if you hit the burst so it won't even come to that, so just use Heal for Swiftness between nodes/decaps. 3) Third Build Well, then there's the Third Build if you insisted on playing DrD D/P.Blinding Powder can be swapped for Prepare Shadow Portal. If you take Prepare Shadow Portal over Blinding Powder then also swap to Executioner instead of Improvisation.Didn't test this build too much though. Thanks a ton!
  21. Would you mind giving which traits you take in each line?
