That would be a significant hit to alacmirage. Which is why my suggestion was to make Desert Distortion the baseline F4 - only giving one second of distortion regardless, but generating a mirage mirror for each clone shattered.

But that suggestion was made while tradeoffs was the policy.

That's true, perhaps they could do something along the lines of improving utilities that generate mirrors instead to compensate for it. It's really complicated without removing Blurred Inscriptions because of Inspiration needing it to reliably grant allies Aegis...

Bladeturn Requiem: This skill has been moved to slot 5 of the profession mechanic bar. Distortion is now accessible in slot 4.

Reconsider the recharge on Bladeturn Requiem and Aegis from Bladeturn Refrain if you're adding Distortion as well.

Rest of these changes are a great start though. Definitely want to keep an eye on that coefficient with Eternal Bond being so high.

Definitely excited to play around with these new traits!

By the 2 they meant staff 2. A (which would be alt) + T is a very odd binding for a weapon skill- could be hinting at Ally Targeting.

Ohhhh! Yeah. I could see that! That'd be pretty cool.

The wiki is throwing giberish when asked for some info, exmaple:

    https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Zehtuka's_Harrier_Inscription

    Contained in

    {{#ask: Contains item::Zehtuka's Harrier Inscription | mainlabel = - | ?Contained in | ?Contained in.Has game icon | ?Contained in.Has canonical name | ?Contained in.Has availability | ?Has contained item chance | ?Has contained item quantity | intro = <div class="smw-ul-columns" style="column-count: Expression error: Unrecognized punctuation character "{".">

    | outro =

    | format = ul | template = Contained in/result format | link = none | limit = 250 | sort = Contained in.Has availability, Contained in.Has canonical name | default = This item is not contained in any container. }}

This is because their site just updated and is having to cache all the data again. It isn't an issue on GW2's end.

  5. I think it was originally intended to be a balance choice to prevent Mesmers/Thieves being perma-stealthed. But at this point it doesn't seem to be a viable argument.

Historically Mesmer had a second type of stealth too from 'Decoy' which they eventually fixed to show 'Hide in the Shadows.'

It's due time for Mesmer to get the shared stealth type. It would also free up lil bit of space for them since they're getting rid of unique effects more and more.

  6. If you're referring to things such as Taunt and Feared. It'll only activate once on the initial infliction of this effect.

This trait won't activate if the target has Stability, however.

It will activate even if the Defiance Bar is locked.

Keep in mind, this trait will only activate if YOU inflict the Crowd Control. Not your pet.

    Hope this helps!

  7. I really like this concept as well, WRATH is the go-to for their build-up bar though 100%.

Balthazar play with Monk is sick, as people mentioned above. Symbols are a neat choice to spread to another profession.

Honestly, I want to see Warrior's Cunning also count Shroud as Barrier for sake of damage mods. Maybe even bring it back from 10% to like 15-20%? Obviously this is with the idea that Bladesworn gets an attitude adjustment but would be fun for the fabtabulous Gunflame memes!

It really should just reload explosion skills. The fact that it affects ALL of warrior's ammo skills is itself the problem, even it if it is a 50% reduction on all warrior skills.

This is definitely is the better approach to go about things. Reload specifically Bladesworn ammunition skills while having the Dragon Trigger bonus effect. That way it doesn't kill the potential future builds using shouts, such as Healbreaker in PvP, and doesn't nerf Core like every other balance patch seems to do to every profession.

Are you a Platinum+ ranked player who's tired of capping objectives because your noob teammates won't? Tired of seeing them rush headlong into fights they won't win? Then the Platinum Challenge is for you my friend.

Post your highest kill count while still losing the game!

Farm the hell out of the noobs on the enemy team while completely ignoring map objectives. Leave your noobs nothing to do but objectives. Force them to learn the game or lose!

    Bonus points if ranked.

DEs, FA Weavers, PChronos, and various other oneshot specs are going to devour this challenge! Can't wait to see the results. >:)

If you are capable of imagining the scenario, how about your opinion.

I expect a confused face, it's the general state of players in the forums.

    My opinion is no.

Confusion is fine. It's a niche condition in PvE. It's a solid mechanical shutdown condition in PvP. It's basically a CC without CCing.

Maybe buff Confusion to do Defiance Bar damage in PvE.

That'll be my last comment in this thread. This is coming from the guy who has made many posts about what Mesmer needs.

  12. What are the most common builds that have popped in and out of meta over the entire history of PvP?

First one I can think of is Power Herald with the most consistent existence out of all professions flat.

Next being, I guess, Support Tempest/Power Reaper?

I'd love to see more of the previous meta builds get some nudges to return again. Some good ol' Power RR Macezerker, S/D Core Thief (although has had plenty of spotlight through Specter and Deadeye recently), Support Druid (Remember those days? Cleric's Druid was a nightmare. But Avatar's could be a fun refreshment if they did something about some of the scaling).

Anyway, I figured I'd contribute some positivity to this thread, I'd love to see some of the older builds come back with the changes over the years and wiggle their way into some people's hearts whether niche or not.

  13. I think the idea was more aimed towards PvP specifically... For some reason.

... Yet Mind Stab was more reliable to get a quick Protection rip off if necessary. At least Phantasmal Berserker rips 2!!!!!!!

I wanna see GS Mesmer get ammo on its skills. They did it to LB on Warrior. (PvE specifically).
