  2. I tried PlayOnMac. I installed GW2 manually without a script using the defaults for everything. It runs, doesn't look awesome by default, and the framerate is very "bursty". Drops when looking around. I would see this in the official client as well, but it seems to be worse. I haven't started messing with any settings yet since it took so long to download the entire game again :-) I looked at the Linux script posted above and don't see that it does much other than provide a nicer interface to select some options, check some minimums, and handle a cursor issue. Ultimately it would be great to produce a script, but it is runnable without one right now. So if anyone else tries it and has some success - and can offer solutions for performance - please let us know...
  3. There's a detailed thread [100% Unofficial] How to play GW2 on Mac OS after the Mac client is gone covering several options.
  4. FWIW - I just downloaded PlayOnMac, downloaded the Windows GW2 installer, and ran through PlayOnMac. Once it reached the "playable" point in the download, I went into the game and ran around. So it seems to work at some level. Fonts look a bit wonky, but that could be a not-yet-downloaded thing, a setting, or just the way they look on Windows. Still totally readable and usable. This will be a better solution than virtualization since PlayOnMac uses WINE which is more like a Windows compatibility layer, so it won't affect speed as much.
  5. Same problem here. If this is time-gated, then it's extremely poorly explained/indicated.
  6. This has to be one of the dumbest "achievements" in the game. No pattern, all random, and you have to restart it a dozen times to complete it. Please ANet - you're better than this!
  7. I can now craft them! Yay! (macOS client) Thanks ANet.
  8. Yes - it's confusing. I still have my title, but the Tier 1/4 doesn't make sense to me in this context.
  9. I finally got the counter to show up for the Highjump Ranch Waypoint one after about 15 tries, but then when I got to very the last thing it... disappeared. No completion, no achievement. This is insane.
  10. The one near Highjump Ranch Waypoint is part of the Elona group, so it is needed to complete Skyscale Rider: Elona. With the S4 maps, that raises another problem with this achievement and that's knowing which rifts are actually completed.
  11. The one near Highjump Ranch Waypoint in Desert Highlands won't trigger the counter for me. I can complete it, but it doesn't count, so I cannot complete the achievement. (It's also the most annoying starting point with the all the archers - 3-4 hits and you're dead.) So with this and the Sandswept Isles one mentioned above, I cannot complete the"Ruler of the Skies" meta-achievement.
  12. I have the exact same problems as Miss Lana.5276 in Sandswept Isles. Tried them many times... can't get them to complete. MacOS 64-bit GW client
  13. Just tried 3 times in a row - stomp on essences, complete trial, blow horn to call out boss, defeat boss. No achievement.
  14. I can't make any of these either. It always requires 250 of each - mordrem or putrid, Lion's Arch or Royal Terrace MacOS 64-bit GW client
  15. I can't make any of these either. It always requires 250 of each - mordrem or putrid, Lion's Arch or Royal Terrace MacOS 64-bit GW client
  16. I may be able to reproduce a crash I've been having since the update today: Every time I use the Earthshaker mining tool twice in a row in Salma it crashes the second time. (Note that it crashes a lot - this one seems to be reproducible though.)
  17. Just another "me too". On a (higher-end) macOS machine. Can't see the symbols.
  18. I recently updated from macOS 10.12 to macOS 10.14 Mojave on an iMac. Since then I've been having problems with GW2. It feels like a networking issue: sometimes fails to connect to login server the first time, hitching when running/looking around, slow loading of maps, slow access to the store, etc.. I don't seem to be having problems with other applications.I turned my graphics settings all the way down and it's still a problem.I've checked my network speeds and they are all good.Anyone have any ideas on how to troubleshoot this?
  19. Just wasted a good 30-40 minutes with a group of 4 because of this. Devs: If I send you pizza would you please fix this & add checkpoints? It's super tough and takes an extremely long time == very frustrating.
