  1. So whats the difference in wiping between a strike and a raid? What makes raids more frustrating to wipe at for you?Im geussing he means not killing fast enough to get the "golden chest". Otherwise i cant really see how one can fail this instance
  2. Literally first time. I have to say that i am a lot less impressed with this one. I mean (reworked) Ice Construct? Really? Im sure you can do a lot better Anet.. Oh well.. Lets see how the Boneskinner will turn out.
  3. Second, based on SC benchmarks the GS dps build is stronger, but dont take it as granted. Since these are done in an "sandboxed" environment. In a real scenario more then often you will end up being more efficient with the /sword & focus variant in endgame content. Especially outside raids (fracs, sm, dungeons etc). Overall the power Chrono relies heavily on phantasms as that is where the main damage comes from. So try to keep that up as much as possible. Lastly Feedback does indeed protect you from projectiles by reflecting it. However keep in mind these are not always the same. There are direct projectiles that you or foes directly shoot towards a target. For example ranger's rapid fire or ele's staff auto attack on fire attunement. These will reflect if it comes in contact with feedback. But other attacks that look like projectile, but is essentially ground target aoe will not. Examples are Arcing Arrow on warrior's longbow, or the grenades on engi. Another exception is when projectiles are/become unblockable. Some bosses do have this property. An example could also be when a warrior procs Signet of Might, before using longbow or rifle skills.
  4. Can i post strike mission here? Im just going to do it. I just wanted to say that this instance is great. With Icebrood Construct i didnt had much hopes for this type of content. But this second strike mission really did hit the spot for me. I love it. Thanks ANet! Recorded a small footage of our first experiance. Well.. second one, cause first one was a duo to see how the encounter would be like to get a feeling for it. (Spoils at own risk!)
  5. Great 8/10! Story was.. interesting. In a good way. the voices really gave me the chills. I love it. im looking forward to what happens next. Map is identical to Thunderhead Peaks but without branded. Which i also like. Strike mission really did hit the spot for me. i even recorded it: ( ). The only downside for me is the masteries. Didnt unlock it fully yet. But they kinda feel overrated as we had similar masteries before. So overall great content imo.
  6. Im really curious what went through their head when they where thinking about this. As far as i have understand, now we're getting multiple mastery tracks... for a single map use? I mean masteries like gliding or mounts are really appealing since they are nice/useful across the entire game. But others that are designed to just use in a single maps, never appealed to me. In fact i find this actually stupid since they mostly function similarly to what we already had. Ill give a few examples: Thermal Propulsion, Oakheart's Reach, Nuhoch Wallows essentially act like a fast(er) travel system through a mapCounter Magic, Forsaken Magic repels/redirects enemy attacks. Itzel Leadership, Exalted Purification, Nuhoch Proving allows you to engage special foe's and collect loot.Exalted Gathering, Volatile Magic Resonance gives you extra resourcesAnd the Essence manipulation doesnt feel any different... I guess what i am trying to say is that most of these masteries (especially the ones from LWS's) feels duplicated in just a slight tweaked way. And there for basically unnecessary. I'd really like to get a PoV from a dev on this tbh. (@Clayton Kisko.5207)?
  7. Also, @"Robert Gee.9246" since you're revisiting these kind of traits. Perhaps you may want to look at/change Rune of Snowfall as well.
  8. So i came across this. I think its in relation with build templates. Cause it didnt happen before i started to utilize it. As far as i know it only happens with PI. Every time you swap char, re-log, change map, (and die?). Other professions may suffer from the same "Signet enhancing traits" bug. A quick temporal solution is to interact with either the trait or signet: swap (back), rearrange, use, etc.
  9. In regarding to profit from legendaries, thats totally depending on how much you're willing to spend for it. There was a time were i actively did that. My average was between 750g and 1000g profit. But the more consistent you do it, the less profit you'll make from it. Also i cba to do map completion anymore. So im no longer investing in legendaries. is it a large cost? Is it worth it? Maybe.. That's a question people will have to answer for themselves
  10. I kind of took my time to "calculate" the amount of slots I'd need to buy and the expanses that come with it, if I'd would fully utilize the recently implemented build templates. Have to say I'm kinda annoyed with it. Keep in mind these are builds I personally utilize. They are not necessarily meta or very effective. Just stuff I like to play around with now- and then / frequently / most of the time. Additionally, I noticed my wvw build is no longer saved when I jump into it. It just selects my last used build regardless of the game mode. Not sure if that is the same with pvp as i haven't tried it yet. Might be a bug or ANet may have done it explicitly to push people in using the system. Let that sink in for a moment...
  11. I was thinking about Harrier or Plaguedocter/Seraph. Since in my experience, the FB's i came across with in (pug) raids, also provide healing next to quickness. And then im personally leaning more towards the plaguedocter or seraph since firebrand generally amplifies the condi aspect of guardian. But idk if that will be any good. What do you people run? Or if you would pick one build/gearset which one would it be? Actually, scrap that. not sure why i did stick so much with doing personal damage next to boon and heal. Ill just go magi's
  12. Any experienced support firebrands here? i have a question: im kinda looking into getting the role. But i dont really know how to gear my spec. SC provides multiple builds but im not sure what to take. Usually when a FB joins group for fracs or raids, he/she also provides healing. So im stuck on how to properly do it. Currently im considering quickness (boon), healing, and either power or condi damage. Gear wise that would be either Harrier or Seraph/Plaguedocter. Some advice?
  13. Either take DH with longbow. AA bounces. Dont forget to trait Soaring Devastation if you do. Or take FB with an A/T for cleave damage. Radiance is good for resetting tomes when you kill a target. Something like Firework runes are recommended. In both cases you can also further "optimize" with Frenzy and/or Speed sigil.
  14. Arcdps was only allowed to have build templates until ANet released their own official ones. The creator of arcdps will be removing the build templates from arcdps when the official ANet build templates goes live in game. I've missed out on this. Do we know why? Like, is it because he no longer felt the need for it? Or did ANet suppress the creator duo to w/e reason? I mean from a "consumer" perspective, so far, it makes a lot of sense for a player to keep using the build templates add-on in arcdps.
  15. quick question in regarding to the slots. Given arcdps is approved by ANet, even tho they prefer not to. Does this even matter? I mean lets be honest most of us uses the third party app, which on its own can/does have build templates add-on. Does having limited slots in the actual one ingame even matter?
  16. Based on the first boss. Personally i'd say strike missions are absolute disastrous. It's not even close to something that could be an entry level raiding which was its purpose. I mean look at Cairn that is something i would consider entry level. Ice Construct is just faceroll. However that being said, it does hold potential for something else. Given its practically solo'ble (to a certain extend), perhaps it would be a nice idea for ANet to make it rewarding repeatable solo endgame content instead. Similar to fracs or raids, but with the purpose of doing it alone. Without having the option where someone else could join/help you. This is something i have been wanting for years. Perhaps tone it down a little or increase the timer slightly, so that more people may have access to completing it. And for those that do seek a challenge, do the opposite with better rewards obviously. Maybe ANet will increase the difficulty of the upcoming ones. Who knows kinda early to tell. But this is my thoughts on it, based on the first one we have atm.
  17. just to state clear: do you need to finish the story first before you can buy the teleport scroll?
