  1. Makes sense. I’m CST. I noticed it also affects open world maps so no clue what’s going on. Will just have to deal with it probably
  2. Hi All - I’ve been having very bad ping in wvw the past few nights but have never lagged before in queued maps at night nor do I lag during the day. I’m on Ethernet so no issues with internet connection so wanted to see if there’s anything else I can do or hope it sorts itself out eventually. Again - never have ever had any issues in wvw at night and it’s perfectly fine during the day which I know population lower but why I mentioned never had issues at night/in queued maps before. Thanks!
  3. To be clear, it’s instant cast so feels more fluid but since you lose the green target, most other professions and people usually use fast with ground targeting (I think that’s its name, it’s the middle of the three options)
  4. I agree. I am really liking having a stunbreak again (surprised?)! And on a reasonable cooldown! ToF disgusts me, frankly. I refuse to use it with that cooldown! I feel the same way about 300s passives. Just get rid of them if you don't want us to use them! Don't just make them useless with super long cooldowns. Such lazy design. On air signet, aside from the stunbreak, the blind + invuln with instant application feels pretty good, too. I am finding this build has a very nice feel to it. It's a little glassy on paper with only vitality for passive defense stats, but I do get some toughness from mirage rune and the blinds, weakness, cleansing, barrier, and healing seem effective in allowing me to survive while playing aggressively (because you sort of have no choice with a melee-locked build that has low mobility!). The pressure with CC and cover condi feels pretty good, too. You'll see in this video I get tagged pretty heavily by the ranger early on, but from there I'm able to effectively counter-pressure while using evasion, blinds, CC and invuln to avoid taking any damage. I actually manage to take my opponent down while recovering nearly to full health in the process! Thanks for keeping us updated on your progress! I actually saw the YT vid first from notifications and was going to comment but checked here first. I was having good sustain too without a stun break but I’ll give this a go. Fire signet gives such nice burst but always willing to try something different. Vallun also posted a hybrid fireweaver build but different play style for sure.
  5. Thanks! As with the fractal video, I'm not suggesting this is going to be meta. In fact, I expect that it works better in duels than it does in actual games played against players of this caliber. But so what? I like what I like! I've been experimenting with this setup since the patch was announced. The idea is to add some cover condi to (hopefully!) get a little more life out of my burn stacks. http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PGgAw2lZweYXMJmJOyXZvaA-zZoOjIlAZqAc7A As long as you’re having fun, that’s what matters! What about wvw? Would you still run carrion and mirage rune? It's been a bit since I did any WvW and I am strictly a roamer, so I don't recommend this for zerg play. But I favor a combination of Trailblazer and Dire for WvW like I do in open world. I would probably either run Mirage rune like I do in PvP or Balthazar rune like I do in PvE. But sometimes I like to take speed runes for WvW, since so many of the builds I come across as a roamer have high mobility and like to kite.Just wanted to stop by and say THANK You! Finally have a fireweaver build I’m having success with in both ranked pvp and roaming wvw! Always loved the theme of sword weaver but could never make it work. So glad you posted this and have been providing updates throughout. Cheers!
  6. I don’t believe you can overcap condi duration so it would be a waste to go over 80% in pve. Note for pvp/wvw, it’s only 7% condi duration so you need to get to 93% in concept making more trailblazer gear worth it.

Definitely wouldn’t run in zergs :). Thanks for the info!

  9. Glad to see someone so committed to fire weaver. Mind posting your wvw and sPVP (unless same as your 7/7 vid) builds? I’m sure they’re very similar but that’s what I main. Also, nice duels on your YT!
  10. https://metabattle.com/wiki/Build:Deadeye_-_Marauder_Rifle Check this out. Some hate meta battle but could give some guidance.
  11. Sword kinda tanks your dps...it's quite noticeable. But the mobility and leaps are nice. Might go back to d/d afterall...just experimenting a bit. I swap between Owl, Jacaranda, and Alpine Wolf. Jacaranda gives you additional sustain and much more DPS, but you can't leave the fight. Owl is always a good pick for Spiritual Reprieve. Wolf lets you deal with oppressive power builds like core rangers, holos, Spellbreakers, etc...it has two leaps and you can still leave the fight with 800 range leap. Thanks for the details. I’ll prob stick to owl and have wolf on swap to test. Honestly, you could simply go d/d and change burning sigil to bleed or something and run same traits. I may give it a go.
  12. Thanks for posting this! I like how you keep this up to date. I had been using the sword/dagger meta battle poison build but it felt so bad with the vipers nest nerf. I tried this one and definitely felt more damage pressure and will continue to run it. I also love how you went to sword and incorporated torch to keep up the pressure vs dagger offhand. Let me know how it treats you as you play more with it :) Edit: thoughts on owl vs hawk? Seems like you’re rocking wolf as main now but it’s hard to pass the mobility from swoop. I know wolf has a leap but doesn’t feel the same. I’ll have to give that a go again though for sure.
  13. Yo I’ve been giving this build a go and it’s been pretty fun! Curious - any way it can work in spvp? I think the main issue is the amulet as sage I think is best bet but won’t get much healing power and 0 toughness.
  14. Would you mind sharing your build? I follow hollts build but always down to try something new
  15. Nice vid. Can you share build (even though you still tweaking it)?
  16. Which is why I guess they keep increasing cd or energy costs lol. Also shocked this thread isn’t getting more responses from all the people calling for rev nerfs
  17. Hi All, I know power herald has always been a meta build and people always qqing about it and wanting more and more nerfs. Rev “dodged” last patch but was part of the three that got nerfed during 2v2. ***edit - nerf was to condi which I knew but shouldn’t have generalized as Rev nerfs and should have differentiated as my title is power - apologies! As someone who literally lost game after game on power herald but sticking to it and getting better and better, it’s rewarding to me. It would suck to put all this effort in just for it to get nerfed more and more. Basically, I lean more towards the fact that people just like to complain about classes before even playing as them to see if it truly that easy. Yes I know these forums are very toxic and will keep nerfing builds into the ground but for power herald to truly shine/be “broken”, i think it takes a top tier pvper which most of us aren’t. I know that can be said about most builds but just been bothering me. I’m going to keep at it regardless because it’s fun and rewarding, which is what matters but would hate for the class to become unplayable due to ever increasing CDs and Energy costs (no other class has two resources as I know you all know). Lastly, not that it matters but I’m G3/P1 ranked although didn’t get there with power herald haha.
  18. Open world it’s great in. Wooden potatoes has a great open world renegade bow power build you can check out. Traits mostly the same even after feb patch. Wvw depends on what you want to do but would say it’s not great in roaming/small skirmishes and should go power herald Shiro for that. If you mainly Zerg or blob, and aren’t in a tight wad squad, you can basically run whatever you want/enjoy. Spvp has bunkerish builds in meta battle that while rated low, can do work in right hands.
  19. I second everything @Virdo.1540 said and below:I would say rev is one of the higher skill cap classes in pvp and roaming wvw (which is what I do as power Shiro herald) as you have to manage both cool downs and energy. I honestly quit playing rev when I first tried it in pvp but came back to it past month and maining it now but you have to put time into it. Once done, it is quite an enjoyable and very rewarding class. Also for pvp, you can take your rev into it and have all same stats as rest depending on build you choose (level 1 as strong as level 80) but you should be familiar with class. Use meta battle for easy guides and gameplay although some say it’s for newbs. Also, plenty of content on YT for pvp like Vallun and Happyno who released very recent vids. However, to get to there level, it will take a ton of games. For end game pve content (which I don’t do), renegade alacrigade is also very popular. All builds can be found on meta battle too as a starter. End of the day, just got to play it and try and enjoy it! I prob lost my first 5 matches in pvp as rev but I never gave up! If you have any questions, feel free to ask here or pm me!
  20. I just started playing wvw last week for first time (long time sPVP player) and TC community been great! Worst thing is you download it, play a little, then uninstall if not having fun.
  21. Check out the auramancer builds in the elementalist meta battle Conquest section and tailor to pve. Effect from food can cover up the concentration loss from gear. Also cheaper if you find out you hate the gameplay before investing into gear.
  22. Great write up and explanations! While it’s not meta and I’m sure other hardcore guardians will say there’s more optimal choices, just wanted to give you props for the effort put into this and sharing for other to learn and use. I’ll give this a go sometime in the near future and imagine it will do great as I play both meta symbol and sage brands
  23. I have seen WD renegade video. But I am using dual sword, not sure it would be as easy as short bow. You can use dual sword. I actually have that equipped over staff since staff clunky and boring imo. Meta battle renegade build also doesn’t use bow on renegade open world
  24. Both are great just depends slightly on play style and what you enjoy more. Good thing is both can be played with power so you can use the same set and just swap based on what you enjoy. Wooden Potatoes has a great Renegade open world build on YT posted in Sept 2019. A few traits changed in devastation and invocation but give it a look. Very easy build and enjoyable to play. Meta battle also has a herald and renegade build for open world worth checking out.
  25. I love this idea and is what I originally thought before getting back into my ele. On top of that, I went privateer runes and the parrot is nice but didn’t realize the agro it has when going from point to point as it can summon when being hit so remounting/changing mounts is abysmal since you’re stuck in combat so “unsummoning” would be awesome. Honestly, may just switch to strength runes but then slight wasted investment in privateer lol
