  1. I agree completely. this is a great idea. Not true housing in the MMO sense, but it would be a step in that direction to give us options like this, in places like Sun's Refuge. Maybe that kind of functionality could be added. It would definitely lead to more play-through in those zones
  2. I was wondering the same thing. I also sent an email and have not heard anything. I was wondering if there was someone else to contact
  3. I agree with this too. Of course, I have no idea how difficult this would be to implement. But, I would love it if my mounts were just a little bit bigger for my Charr
  4. Thats a really fun idea; use the quad running as a 'burst' animation, and have the regular running be biped. But, I think just a simple toggle so folks have a choice, ether way would be good. As others have noted, Charr NPCs run around biped almost all the time
  5. Thats beyond the scope of my original suggestion. But I definitely see the value of what your saying. The more options for individual expression, the better
  6. Thats what I do. Unfortunately the character keeps sheathing the weapons periodically.
  7. For me it's mostly the slump, and beastly looking appearance, but the four leg run is kind of part of that too. If it's toggleable though, I wouldn't mind, but I dont see them making that effort for just 1 race. I would agree with you, if there was a dramatic effort to create new assets, or a significant change to the game engine. If that were the case, than it would not be worth the effort, compared to other things that require attention. But the assets and animations are literally already there, with a precedent already established by NPCs. Conversely, Charr are a specifically zoomorphic race. I mean, I suppose an Asura or Norn player could say "Hey, I want my character to run on all fours too." But frankly, there is no precedent or reason for it, other than a sense of unwarranted entitlement
  8. I know that some folks do. However, some folks just like the culture and the overall zoomorphic theme of the Charr. Thats why I'm suggesting a toggle, so folks still have their own choice.
  9. I'm sure this has been brought up before, but I could not find it in previous threads.I wish there was a toggle for bipedal movement for Charr. The animations already exist, and plenty of NPCs already do it. With a toggle, those that prefer the quadruped movement, can still have it. But those of us who prefer movement on two legs could have that too. Its one of the few things I wish was different for Charr, and it has no real effect on game play. Having it be unchangeable as some kind of 'penalty for race choice', doesn't make sense when its just fluff and aesthetic as it pertains to player choice. It is after all, a game. The more 'flavor choice' afforded the player, the better Edit: To clarify, I mean their run animation. They already move bipedal with weapons drawn and when walking instead of running
  10. I really enjoy and appreciate the overall design of the mechanic effect (both the blizzard, and the Raven's bubble). But I would be happy if they turned both down, just a little. But still leaving them in place. As others have noted, the raven's bubble is a bit obtrusive itself. It could maybe be a little more translucent
  11. A lot of these are great questions. And yes, some of them have been asked before. But I think it is great to ask them again. We would appreciate the answers here in the West too.
  12. I agree. I'll add to that, along those same lines is the general sense of cooperation created by the game environment. It seems to me that GW2 was very trend setting in a philosophical approach that focused on cooperative play and rewarding altruistic game play. By that I mean things like open-tagging, individually instanced harvesting nodes, XP for rezzing players and NPCs alike, etc. I can remember other titles resisting such features, because they were afraid of overly exploitative behavior. But in my opinion, the 'pros' far out weigh the 'cons', and GW2 proved it. Now most other games follow GW2s example. I can't really put my finger on it, but there is a general sense of 'positivity' that is unique to GW2. Its one of the reasons I always come back to the game, and definitely a selling point in comparison to competitors. I'm not exactly sure how you pitch those features in a 30 second blurb, but I absolutely think that those characteristics unique to the GW2 environment, should be highlighted.
  13. "... sockpooper" OMG, that's awesome..lol That's the first time I had every heard that
  14. I am tired of everything being a constant struggle. Some challenge is good, but if your expansions are dramatically different in play-style from your base game, you have a problem, because you are disenfranchising your original player base. Can I complete the content? Yes, I already have. Is it fun and worth repeating? Absolutely not. I am not suggesting that the expansion over land content should be as easy as the core game, because it is meant for max level characters. I also agree that there should be twitchy-challenging content for folks who enjoy that play style. But overall, the over land content is tedious and defeating. Mob HP, aggro range, and condition effects need to be down-tuned. More stuff needs to be solo-able than is. This is the 21st century, with people playing in multiple time zones. Like it or not, most folks solo most of their time. Of course I'm sure there will be the 'leet' players with the giant e-peen who will chime in with "get gud. Go back to WoW. I soloed it with my blah, blah, blah..." But the game isn't just about them. Its also about casual players who were your core audience to begin with too. Right now, your message is "Hey casual player, don't bother with buying the expansions. They're not your play style. You won't enjoy them"
  15. Yes! I know some folks don't like the idea of following a GW 1 trajectory, but I actually think that idea is cool in a nostalgic kinda way
